I have wanted to have solar energy for my home. This year Socal Energy made it happen and I am very happy with their work. I got quotes from a handful of other companies and after weighing multiple factors: cost, location, depth of experience, etc., I picked Socal Energy. I had heard they had a promotion and that was also a plus for me. My panels look great and the whole installation is working great. The app is great and lets me monitor my energy production and consumption in real time. I just got a check for $512 for my October 2021- February 2022 savings. Socal Energy is a great company and I recommend them! You won't be disappointed!

My air conditioning quit working on Sunday, so I went online to read reviews on Sunday evening and called SoCal Energy on Monday morning. I was overjoyed that the company executive was able to get someone here on Monday morning. The technician arrived promptly after the call, diagnosed the problem, and replaced a relay on the heating side of the system at my request

I was approached by a nice salesman while working in my front yard yesterday. When asked what our next home improvement project was I said, ""windows"". He made an appointment for 5pm.
The two young women showed up and immediately started selling solar systems. I stated 3 times I'm only interested in windows. At this point we were insulted. The ""closer"" stated that she was trying to ""help us"". She began arguing with us after insulting us and stated that I ""wouldn't even be able to understand"" the window ""program"".
At this point I asked them to leave. They refused and sat in my living room and continued to tell us how stupid we were for not entertaining their proposal. Then the closer tried telling me she liked me, straight up out of the blue. I just sat waiting for them to leave. They didn't. She asked me after a long awkward moment why I was staring at them. My answer is, ""because I told you to get out of my house and here you sit. Get out."" After a few snorts they finally left.

This experience completely freaked me out.

SoCal Energy did a grid tie with battery backup system for me about 7 months ago and it is working flawlessly. We really enjoy the sound of money falling from our roof when the sun shines..!! Our final decision was a trade off on full load panel count to cover the battery back up cost but we still get about a 60% electric bill offset even with full A/C running in summer months. About the same in winter with reduced daylight hours. System design, installation and owner training were great. Probably most impressive was the electrical contractor work with a complex install. It was neat and well done. My code inspector commented favorably on the workmanship. Overall, I give SoCal a 10/10 rating and have recommended them dozens of times to friends and family.
