Working with Smart Roofing was a great experience! From the start Evi came out to look at the project and prepared a very detailed and complete quote. No other contractor I had bid the job prepared as detailed a quote. Evi was great at explaining the process and the materials they use. There were no change orders and the project went exactly how Evi said it would go and was completed on time. Evi was on the jobsite everyday which was great and I always knew what was going to happen that day. Their workers have been working for them for years and you can really tell how the crew worked together efficiently and safely. It was a very smooth process which made the hassle of reroofing very bearable. Smart Roofing did a fantastic job and I would not hesitate to use them again on another project. I thought I needed to get 6 quotes for a roof repair or new roof and got references from my builder/house-flipper buddies... One was very aggressive and wouldn't leave until we agreed on a price and signed a contract. I closed the door. Several were nice and seemed competent, but pricing was high. Most wanted a lot of time on a lot of issues. One, a very nice young woman I liked her presentation, and the price was good, and I signed... but then her boss raised the price. The last was Isaac from Smart Roofing who from start to finish was easiest, most assuring, obviously most competent, took the least of my time, gave the best price up front, performed a miracle getting it done right away. A great guy! Great crew. My ""roofing guy"" referral from now on! Just start with Isaac for your roofing project.

Isaac came out the same day that I called him about our leaking ceiling. He was extremely thorough and he answered all of my (many) questions patiently. He gave detailed quotes for both an immediate fix (per my request) and for long-term fix. He seems very honest in his advice and recommendations. From start to finish Smart Roofing was the absolute best. I rarely give reviews; however, Smart Roofing deserves credit and a 5 start rating. I have been in property management over 35 years and have done more than one re-roof in my day. I obtained six different estimates from various roofing companies. While Smart Roofing was not the cheapest they were competitive and far from the most expensive and they offered me what the others did not. To begin the estimator, Evi, was very RESPECTFUL, knowledgeable and professional, showing me exactly what was going to be done (a complete tear off and installation); they pulled the required permit and took care of the two City inspections of the roof. Once the project began the men were prompt, professional and cleaned up daily before leaving. The office was also fantastic in working with me and my lender to obtain the Go Green loan I was applying for. Below were the initial deciding factors in choosing Smart Roofing:

1. Unlike the other roof bids obtained, the price Smart Roofing estimated WAS THE PRICE, no surprises, no sudden billing for additional wood, etc. The other estimators all left an unappreciated open window to be able jack up the quoted price - but not Smart Roofing - they were straight up honest with me and the price quoted was the price. They also honored their advertised coupon for a complete re-roof and took $1000 off the project estimate which was a welcomed pleasure and which made their price even more competitive.

2. Smart Roofing offered a 50 year/lifetime warranty on the energy saving ""Cool Roof"" they installed and informed me about a LADWP Rebate that I am entitled to as well - The other roofing companies only offered me a 10 year labor 30 year material warranty - I put a roof on 30 years ago and it flew by in a blink - so Smart Roofing's offer of a 50 year labor and lifetime on material stole the show and cinched the deal.

When it was complete Smart Roofing provided me with aerial photos of my roof and showed me all the new vents etc. that were installed (see photos) and they even took extra care to install protectors around the skylights to prevent future leakage. The new fascia work is exceptionally done around the property. Working with Smart Roofing was like a breath of fresh air - zero problems - it all ran smoothly - any minor concerns I had were immediately addressed and they left the property clean and looking good.
You Can't Go Wrong In Choosing Smart Roofing; You Can Only Go Right with this outstanding company. KUDOS, to Smart Roofing Company for all of their professionalism and for a job very well done. They get five stars and a perfect 10 from me. Any roof I need done in the future will go to Smart Roofing without a doubt.
