In 2015, we launched an initiative known as Florida Home Rehabilitation Initiative to assist qualified homeowners in the Sunshine State utilize the Property Assessed Clean Energy program. We recognized that this initiative was a groundbreaking project which achieved great success in California and would succeed in Florida. However, we didn't foresee the speed of its growth and the growth of our business!
Once the program gained traction and our company expanded, it became clear that Florida Home Rehabilitation Initiative was too complex for the public, prompting a name change to SMART Efficient Solutions.
Since our inception, we have established ourselves as a prominent and most successful companies in Florida!
After Hurricane Irma, we enhanced our services to support affected homeowners with recovery from the impact through help with hurricane-related claims and deductible processing.
Our founder, Robert F. MacKinnon identified a chance to help homeowners in Florida with clean energy living through the Property Assessed Clean Energy. He established SMART Efficient Solutions to ensure the effectiveness of the PACE program in Florida.

Chris C.This is a terrible company. I've been waiting 8 months for my roof to be installed. I've called them several times and they do not call me back. The only work they have done is install the insulation which is now wet from all the rain and will have to be redone. I've gotten several letters for my h o a and the ceiling above my baby's room is leaking.

Me T.Stay Away. Post Irma I contacted them to repair roof and do emergency tarps, storm debris removal, and water mitigation. Well .... they only did the tarps using a sub-company. They said they were too busy to do the rest. Then THREE months later, here I am still asking them to provide me with the roofing quote so I can give it to the insurance company for approval. Jan comes about and after numerous calls, emails, and request for the quote that was done back in Sep, I still get nothing from them. I also called to say the tarps (now 5 months old) are deteriorating and should be replaced as they are no longer water tight, but nobody returned my calls for 2 weeks. In Feb they call me saying ""some people got fired and things didn't go as they should"" and they asked if I would sign over my insurance to them. I laughed and hung up. Terrible company. No value at ALL.
