In 2015, we launched a business called Florida Home Rehabilitation Initiative to help eligible property owners in the Sunshine State take advantage of PACE benefits. We understood that PACE was a promising project with notable achievements in California and would succeed in Florida. But we never anticipated the speed of its growth and how fast our company would grow!
As the program gained momentum and we began to grow, we recognized that Florida Home Rehabilitation Initiative was confusing for our clients, leading us to change our name to SMART Efficient Solutions.
Since we started, we have become a prominent and most successful companies in Florida!
After Hurricane Irma, we broadened our services to help Florida homeowners with recovery from the damage through hurricane insurance claim and deductible assistance.
Robert F. MacKinnon, an entrepreneur identified an opportunity to support Florida homeowners with sustainable energy solutions through PACE. He founded SMART Efficient Solutions to promote the implementation of the PACE program in Florida.

Chris C.This is a terrible company. I've been waiting 8 months for my roof to be installed. I've called them several times and they do not call me back. The only work they have done is install the insulation which is now wet from all the rain and will have to be redone. I've gotten several letters for my h o a and the ceiling above my baby's room is leaking.

Me T.Stay Away. Post Irma I contacted them to repair roof and do emergency tarps, storm debris removal, and water mitigation. Well .... they only did the tarps using a sub-company. They said they were too busy to do the rest. Then THREE months later, here I am still asking them to provide me with the roofing quote so I can give it to the insurance company for approval. Jan comes about and after numerous calls, emails, and request for the quote that was done back in Sep, I still get nothing from them. I also called to say the tarps (now 5 months old) are deteriorating and should be replaced as they are no longer water tight, but nobody returned my calls for 2 weeks. In Feb they call me saying ""some people got fired and things didn't go as they should"" and they asked if I would sign over my insurance to them. I laughed and hung up. Terrible company. No value at ALL.
