We established an initiative known as Florida Home Rehabilitation Initiative to support eligible property owners in our state utilize the PACE program. We understood that PACE was a groundbreaking project which achieved great success in California and would flourish in Florida. Yet, we didn't foresee its rapid growth and the growth of our business!
As the program gained momentum and we began to grow, we recognized that Florida Home Rehabilitation Initiative was confusing for the public, leading us to change our name to SMART Efficient Solutions.
From the beginning, we have become a top and most successful companies in Florida!
Following Hurricane Irma, we expanded our offerings to assist Florida homeowners to recover from the destruction through hurricane insurance claim and deductible assistance.
Robert F. MacKinnon identified an opportunity to support homeowners in Florida in achieving energy-efficient living through the Property Assessed Clean Energy. He established SMART Efficient Solutions to ensure the success of the PACE program in Florida.

Chris C.This is a terrible company. I've been waiting 8 months for my roof to be installed. I've called them several times and they do not call me back. The only work they have done is install the insulation which is now wet from all the rain and will have to be redone. I've gotten several letters for my h o a and the ceiling above my baby's room is leaking.

Me T.Stay Away. Post Irma I contacted them to repair roof and do emergency tarps, storm debris removal, and water mitigation. Well .... they only did the tarps using a sub-company. They said they were too busy to do the rest. Then THREE months later, here I am still asking them to provide me with the roofing quote so I can give it to the insurance company for approval. Jan comes about and after numerous calls, emails, and request for the quote that was done back in Sep, I still get nothing from them. I also called to say the tarps (now 5 months old) are deteriorating and should be replaced as they are no longer water tight, but nobody returned my calls for 2 weeks. In Feb they call me saying ""some people got fired and things didn't go as they should"" and they asked if I would sign over my insurance to them. I laughed and hung up. Terrible company. No value at ALL.
