Mark is a straight-shooter and he and his team have taken care of our roof for a few years now. Haven't had to call him very often though! Probably three times in five or six years? Testament to their great work.

Five stars to me always seems like a fake review or that we knew this business on a personal level and we do not. I saw his truck in a parking lot and he gave me a card...

He came out and we didnt even question his bid on the repairs. The job got a little bigger because I hate wood issues but their work is only done correctly!! Their clean up throughout the entire process was impressive as was the finish product.

Rarely does someone leave that works on your home and leaves you with a strong sense of ""THEY WERE WORTH EVERY DOLLAR!"" From what we saw if everyone ran their business with the ethics he showed they would have a better business and less complaints.

I found some water spots on my bedroom ceiling after coming back from a 10-day vacation last January 2016. I called two roofing contractors for estimates and one of them was Mark Slotterbeck who I ended up hiring. He was very detailed in his description of what needs to be done and he wrote it all down in his estimate. He also took a lot of pictures of the roof with his iPad (as I can't go up the roof), so that I can understand his recommendations for repairs. He found extra problems in another part of my roof and around the chimney. (I know that he wasn't making this up because my fiancé had previously noted those same problems areas a while back, so I knew exactly what he was referring to). The first contractor bid $1,600 just to repair the roof leak. Mark's bid was $1,720 but it also included installing counter flashing/sealing around my chimney and along my stucco wall as well. So I knew I was getting more value for my money with Mark. (The additional repairs effectively just cost me an extra $120.) Mark finished the job on time as promised. He also took a lot of pictures during the repair as well as ""after"" pictures of the repaired areas (emailed them to me) to show that he did all the work he noted in his estimate. He and his crew also cleaned up and hauled away all debris. He did the job in early March, but I waited until the rainy season to write this review. I was going to wait for a full year to give my review, but I think he deserves to get my 5-star review now. (I can always update if a problem comes up with his work otherwise, and so far there's none - no water spots in my ceiling or water leak along my stucco wall to date - 12/29/16.) So yes, Mark did a great job. (By the way, he didn't take credit cards. He only accepted cash or check for payment which was fine with me, since credit card companies typically charge about a 2%-3% merchant fee to the contractors,.... also some contractors pass this fee to the customers anyway, so paying him with a check was not an issue for me. Just heads up, so you know that you should have the funds to pay when you hire him.)

I have always had fantastic results with Mark and his guys. I have hired Mark 4 times for different properties and never had any complaints at all.
They are always on time and organized . The extra mile that they go to keep the job site cleaned up is amazing!
Mark is extra good to explain all costs and show you what he doing and why. He takes lots of photos for you when there is wood replacement and he keeps you very well informed of the wood replacement costs as he goes along....he doesn't just drop a bomb on you at the end of the job.
I truly can't compliment these guys enough...I appreciate the extra mile they go.
