I had my 1-story home reroofed about 7 months ago with composite shingle. I waited to provide a review until some heavy rains which we just had. I crawled all around the attic carefully looking at all areas including each vent/pipe penetration and NO LEAKS! I expected something from the heavy winds with the rain but found nothing. Their price was similar to other quotes, but went with the high rating here. They found some damaged lumber and plywood and quickly replaced it at a fair price (trim painting is left to me though). I'm happy.

All aspects of the process were extremely pleasant, from the estimate to the final invoice. I did my research and received three separate estimates from local roofers, SLO County Roofing was competitive and very timely. The best and honest roofer ever! Search no more, Chris is not only capable, but very honest and reasonable. Five years back, we had a complex roof problem because of a rotunda. Had another company came and did some work, it was very temporary and started leaking again. With a referral, contacted Chris and he got to the bottom of it, explained to us and went out of his way to do a spectacular job to fix the leak. It was not easy, but he was very patient and made sure if he doing it, he's doing it right. We has a small leak after 5 years in the recent heavy rains, contacted Chris and he came right away to take care of that weather related issue. If all roofers and contractors were like Chris, the world would have been a better place :-). Like another reviewer wrote, I wish I could give him 10 stars.

I wish there were 10 stars available for Chris & crew from SLO County Roofing. Amazing job at a fair price. We checked out his references and visited his past jobs and were impressed with the homeowner's statements about Chris and his work. We went with a metal roof in dark bronze and all new skylights and it came out beautifully. Don't expect a dressed up slick-talking salesman to show up. Chris pulls off a job to meet you in his work truck and work clothes to meet with you. His knowledge of roofing was immediately apparent. This guy knows his stuff!

While visiting my mom. I noticed a crack in her roof tiles, I phoned Chris before noon and he showed up at 3, climbed on the roof check the entire roof thoroughly found 3 broken tiles. He then drove to get the replacement tiles came back and fixed everything that afternoon.
He was very friendly did a great job.
I would recommend him for your roofing needs.

We couldn't be happier with our new roof. Chris and company did an amazing job replacing our tired, old roof. They added a sun tunnel in the living room and replaced the skylight in our bathroom. We love how fun the guys were while they worked. They were go-go-go but having a good time while they worked and in the middle of a heatwave! Really admire their great attitudes and workmanship. Chris, the owner, stopped by everyday and was very responsive even when we were out of town. Highly recommend!

We found some mold in one of our rooms...and mold mean a leak...we called SLO County Roofing to take a look at our roof.
Chris came out and got right on the roof. He said that the roof was in great shape and he didn't want to rip up sections until he was sure that there really was a leak.
He said that once it begins to rain, we should call him and he would bring out his moisture meter to get a better feel for hat was going on.
When I asked what the cost of this exploratory call would be, he said... nothing, not even for his time, as he really didn't do anything but look at the roof.
Needless to say we will be calling him back.

We recently bought a 1970s house with a tile roof. After our first rainy season, we noticed a leak in the ceiling that seemed to be connected to our furnace intake vent on the roof.
