The best and honest roofer ever! Search no more, Chris is not only capable, but very honest and reasonable. Five years back, we had a complex roof problem because of a rotunda. Had another company came and did some work, it was very temporary and started leaking again. With a referral, contacted Chris and he got to the bottom of it, explained to us and went out of his way to do a spectacular job to fix the leak. It was not easy, but he was very patient and made sure if he doing it, he's doing it right. We has a small leak after 5 years in the recent heavy rains, contacted Chris and he came right away to take care of that weather related issue. If all roofers and contractors were like Chris, the world would have been a better place :-). Like another reviewer wrote, I wish I could give him 10 stars.

I wish there were 10 stars available for Chris & crew from SLO County Roofing. Amazing job at a fair price. We checked out his references and visited his past jobs and were impressed with the homeowner's statements about Chris and his work. We went with a metal roof in dark bronze and all new skylights and it came out beautifully. Don't expect a dressed up slick-talking salesman to show up. Chris pulls off a job to meet you in his work truck and work clothes to meet with you. His knowledge of roofing was immediately apparent. This guy knows his stuff!

While visiting my mom. I noticed a crack in her roof tiles, I phoned Chris before noon and he showed up at 3, climbed on the roof check the entire roof thoroughly found 3 broken tiles. He then drove to get the replacement tiles came back and fixed everything that afternoon.
He was very friendly did a great job.
I would recommend him for your roofing needs.

We couldn't be happier with our new roof. Chris and company did an amazing job replacing our tired, old roof. They added a sun tunnel in the living room and replaced the skylight in our bathroom. We love how fun the guys were while they worked. They were go-go-go but having a good time while they worked and in the middle of a heatwave! Really admire their great attitudes and workmanship. Chris, the owner, stopped by everyday and was very responsive even when we were out of town. Highly recommend!

We found some mold in one of our rooms...and mold mean a leak...we called SLO County Roofing to take a look at our roof.
Chris came out and got right on the roof. He said that the roof was in great shape and he didn't want to rip up sections until he was sure that there really was a leak.
He said that once it begins to rain, we should call him and he would bring out his moisture meter to get a better feel for hat was going on.
When I asked what the cost of this exploratory call would be, he said... nothing, not even for his time, as he really didn't do anything but look at the roof.
Needless to say we will be calling him back.

We recently bought a 1970s house with a tile roof. After our first rainy season, we noticed a leak in the ceiling that seemed to be connected to our furnace intake vent on the roof. Within 5 hours Chris was at our house, on the roof, confirming our diagnosis. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and he worked with an HVAC specialist to develop a solution. He quickly delivered an estimate, got the work done, and came in under budget! Chris is a straight shooter and I would definitely recommend his services!

My house needed a complete reroof and all the facia replaced due to rot and bad roofing when they built the house. I called 6 local roofing companies. One never even returned my calls. Two came over, looked at my house, measured it, said they will provide a bid, and never got back to me despite messages I left for them. Three roofers came buy and ultimately provided bids including Chris from SLO County roofing. One local roofing company's bid was $15,000 more than the two other bids for the exact same work. First, Chris returned my call the same day. He came over within a couple days where the other roofers took 2-3 weeks. When Chris initially came over, I was impressed with his knowledge of roofing and local codes and his honesty and ethics. He is a down to earth guy and not a typical salesman trying to get you to do stuff you don't need. In fact, he made several recommendations that made sense and ways to save money without sacrificing quality. I got his bid within a couple days and he communicated with me throughout the project and kept me up to date on the time frame and work. SLO County roofing was not only the most reasonable bid but they included some extras like installing O'hagen vents to help ventilate my attic better. Chris's team were hard workers. His carpenter that replaced all my fascia did such a good job you cant even see the seams. All angle cuts were perfect, made at a rafter, and glued together and nailed. Chris's tile guy is no doubt the best around as he was extremely meticulous, cuts were perfect, and the new tile looks great. The workers cleaned up my property every day before leaving. Based on my profession, I think I have a pretty good judge of character and ethics and honesty means a lot to me, especially spending the amount of money I did on my roof. I wanted it perfect and they accomplished that. I have recommended SLO County Roofing to many friends and business associates and highly recommend them to anyone looking for roof work.

Our first ever ROOF leak experience was not at all like I would have imaged. Chris, you made a stressful situation and a homeowners' inexperience very comfortable.
You identified a mystery leak over my cook top, making no weather-related excuses to postpone us. You came out during the worst of the latest storms ( end of Feb ~ early March 2019) repaired our roof and fixed other issues we never knew we had. Even cleaned off our 3 skylights that have been exposed to the outside elements since we built our home.
Your company was a referral to me by my contractor whom I use through business. I appreciate your honest appraisal and excellent service.

The owner Chris is very knowledgable, personable and managed to fit me in when our area had a massive storm which caused a leak. He was able to fix our broken tile on the spot at a reasonable price. I will say I was a little leary at first since he just answers the phone ""hello"" so I wasn't sure if it was a legitimate business that I was calling, but I was pleased in the end.
