My roof leaked after heavy rains. I needed to fix it urgently, as more rain was on the horizon. Gabriel came to give me a quote. Inspected the roof, made some suggestions, explained a few things. Promised to give a detailed quote within a day. And disappeared! No response to multiple texts and calls. Just like that. No work ethic or professionalism whatsoever. I consider myself lucky for NOT having hired this person. Would not recommend to anyone.

Silva replaced our flat top roof in 2003. It is still going strong. We might have had them come back and do a little touch up in the year or so after the job when rainy weather revealed a few imperfections/leaks. Their pricing was on the lower side of a few bids.

I subtracted one star because during the installation my personal 'guardian angel' went up to inspect and said the flashing did not look right, so he requested an improvement in that process.

In 2017 we applied Henry's Tropi-Cool to the roof, and we just might get 20-25 years out of it. Pretty good for a flat top.

After researching various options, I decided to replace my wood shake roof with concrete tile. After seeing a Silva Roofing truck in the neighborhood, I decided to give them a call. Within a few days, Gabriel came to the house and provided me with a competitive bid and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Gabriel and crew did an amazing job with the removal and installation of the new roof. Everyone was very professional and worked efficiently to complete the project and keep the area clean everyday.

Marvin and Jerry Mainer and their crew at Silva Associated have maintained and replaced the roofs on our home for the past 30 years. I meet Gabriel in Los Banos he was performing a roof inspection for a client and was very professional. The entire time he was busy and since then I have recommended him to other clients. They all were very pleased with him and have used him and refer him to there clients.

I contacted Silva Roofing on the referral of a friend and I'm glad I did. I called them to give me an estimate for a leak discovered after Stormageddon 2014. Gerry came on time, was completely professional, and gave me his recommendation and quote. He was the first of three estimates I would get. I needed to replace a couple of tiles on the roof. That was it. No bullshit. The others came and gave me the song and dance I've sadly grown accustomed to getting from contractors. All three ultimately diagnosed the problem as the result of the broken tiles. The others, however, also recommended extras for maintenance-different maintenance from different roofers on the same day.

Silva's bid was the lowest by more than $100 so I went with them. They came the next day and replaced the broken tiles but they also left me some spares just in case, not to mention they fixed a broken tile that was functional but not aesthetically pleasing--and didn't charge me anything extra. The icing on the cake is that they're genuinely nice guys.

Reliable, punctual, professional, competent, and reasonably priced-This is how a business should be run. I'll recommend them every time and I hope they make a fortune.

These guys are a big joke! Fidelity Home Insurance contracts with these guys and after waiting a week for them to come out to see my leaky roof, they say ""there's nothing wrong with your roof"". I have buckets of water filled in my living room with 2 big holes in the sheet rock and there's no leak in my roof? Asked the technician to check again and now they find a small hole and patches it within 5 minutes. $65 deductible for this service and all I can do is pray it does not leak again. Yes, they are going to warranty me on the tiny hole they patched and nothing else. That's a good one!

I asked a friend of she knew any good roofing companies. She told me she had used Silva Roofing Company, several years ago. She stated they were prompt honest and they did not try to sell her services she did not need. She also told me to ask for Marvin. I called Silva Roofing and set up an appointment with Marvin. He came to my home, did a quick inspection of my roof and mailed me a estimate for repairs. I agreed to the amount and Marvin and his helper repaired my dry rot in a timely and professional manner. I was very happy with this company. I found them to be very honest. The last roofing company that inspected my home, when I purchased it in 2011, told me I needed 2 thousand dollars in repairs. I did not hire them. Marvin was very honest and he only repaired the damage areas of my roof. I would hire this company again.

They are timely, courteous, thorough (always showing digital photos so you can see what's going on with your roof), and their prices are fantastic. They've worked on several roofs for us, including a traditional shingle roof, a flat roof, and a less-common membrane roof. They know their stuff. I highly recommend them!
