We talked to several vendors; both national and local companies and settled on Signature Roofing based on several factors:
1. Pricing: although not the cheapest, they were definitely competitive and the combination of this and the other factors listed below made us select them.
2. Local: we always like to support local companies, especially when they come as highly rated as Signature Roofing.
3. Professionalism: from the bidding stage to the end of the project, Signature Roofing displayed excellent professionalism. They were very helpful in answering questions, providing guidance on what the process would be like, and keeping me updated on the status of the work.
4. Years of experience in the Bay Area: self explanatory

The whole project was quick, efficient, and no nonsense. They really seem to know what they are doing and the final product was great. Billing is simple and straightforward and the whole experience from start to finish was quick and painless. I strongly recommend them.

If you want an old fashion experience of professionalism, personal attention, and attention to every detail than Signature Roofing is who you want to contact. It only took 3 day for them to do our house including clean up. At the end of each day I walked around the house looking for anything that might hurt our dogs feet, but I could hardly find anything. Make sure you include them in your line up of estimates because you will see how good they are just from that.

Signature Roofing replaced the roof on my parents home earlier this month. Of all the roofing companies that provided quotes, George Belden and William Cotter were the most informative and responsive. The work was accomplished in a week from removing the old roof(s) to the eventual clean-up. And, I was kept informed of the step-by-step process via e-mails and telephone calls. I was pleasantly surprised by the professional way the entire process was conducted. If I had to do this again I would not hesitate to call Signature Roofing because of their excellent service.

After getting several quotes, we decided to go with Signature because of their track record and responsiveness. Seems like they have done every roof on the peninsula!

We were originally scheduled to have the roof done near the end of May, but they ended up moving us up 3 weeks because they had an opening. This caused an issue because we had an electrician coming the following week to do some work that required some roof damage. But, George quickly agreed to come back and patch up where the electrician did his work. Unbelievable service.

George updated us daily throughout the project. The property was left pristine when they were done.

Very happy with Signature and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

I highly recommend this company even though they weren't able to replace my roof due to its steep pitch. I was late for our appointment, yet William waited for me to deliver the bad news and offered to pass along some referrals, which he did. As well, he took the time to thoroughly respond to many questions I emailed him afterward. It was reassuring to be able to have his expert knowledge and general support during this stressful time of decision-making. From start to finish Signature Roofing has been professional and courteous and I can't thank them, and especially William, enough!

I cannot begin to say how happy we were with Signature Roofing! The entire experience was hands down the best service we have ever had from any service company. The truly professional communication on every level was both impressive and unbelievevable. The process from quote to roof completion included updates and check ins along the way. We were especailly impressed with the hand-written notes from George and William. Every question or concern we had was addressed quickly and to our expectations from George and everyone with Signature. The workers that actually did our re-roof were very nice, professional and adressed all of our questions. The crew was very clean in dong their work. Each day I came home, I was shocked at how clean things looked. And, the best part is the roof looks great! We just love it. I would also add that the bill was exactly what they quoted plus a very small extra charge for some discovered dry rot. I am so happy we went wth Signature Roofing. Signature Roofing company is as good as it gets in the roofing industry. Their quote was the lowest which surprised me because typically I expect well established companies to charge more. George was fantastic at providing all the information one would need regarding the roofing process. The job was scheduled and completed on time within matter of days. The staff was very efficient and left the area surrounding the house very clean. And i really appreciated the daily updates from George informing me about the progress made and what to expect the following day. We had a great experience with Signature Roofing and we love our new roof. Highly recommend their service to anyone looking for a new roof.

Even with the little rainfall we had this past Winter, there was enough rain to expose a few leaks in our roof. Yes, our luck finally ran out, and we finally realized that we needed to replace our roof, which was way, way past its warranty, and its life. In addition, the material for our current roof was obsolete, and the company that installed it went out of business.

So we had to start from the beginning researching roofing material types, and more importantly, looking for good, quality roof installers.

I only have the energy to get quotes for two vendors. Fortunately, my wife is a shopper, and got quotes from 8 different roof installers. All of these installers seemed very knowledgeable of their products. The quotes from these installers varied between each other.

We narrowed the list down to 2 installers, and ended up going with Signature. Of the eight vendors, Signature's quote was in the middle. Their quote was very detailed, but the owner, George Belden, was available to answer all of our questions. In our discussions with him, he detailed how long the roof installation would take, and what will be done by the end of each day.

Signature is a family owned business that's been around since 1993. Not as big as some other companies in the Peninsula, but they have an experienced crew that's been with them for many years. Some of our friends and acquaintances have used them, and they are a local company. The latter is especially important, should we have any problems with our roof, they would be able to respond quickly.

The installation went very smoothly. The first day they tarped the interior of the garage, and removed the old roof. The 2nd and 3rd days, they installed the roof. At the start of each day, George and/or William would meet with us to go over what they will be doing that day, and to answer any of our questions. They also arranged to have the county building inspector come into review the roof, and to file a permit.

Overall, we are quite pleased with the installation process, and the customer service of not only the owners, but of their crew.

As of this writing, all of the reviews for Signature are 5 star reviews, and for good reason. I'll add mine as well!

There are probably many other good roofing companies along the Peninsula, but I would highly recommend Signature.
