Buyer beware: this is a horribly run company and should not be in business. Their salesman was great and their prices were reasonable, but everything went downhill from there in a very big way, despite our constant efforts to maintain a good relationship while having our job completed and done correctly. At this point, it seems like their ""15 year warranty"" is practically worthless as other reviewers have said and we have experienced.

We had our roof done two years ago and it was nothing but maddening dealing with them. Scheduling took forever, months after their initially promised time window, which should have been a red flag, but we weren't in an immediate rush. Once started, it was obvious their goal was to complete the project as quickly and with as little hassle as possible by taking shortcuts. For example, part of the contract included checking some existing spots of concern that we pointed out before foaming - we should have been more persistent in retrospect, but this was before we fully understood how they operated. They were able to talk around it and foam over before we could press the point sufficiently.

Our contract (and spoken agreement) explicitly stated it included necessary permits. Not wanting to deal with the hassle and expense, they initially tried to talk us out of getting one once the job was already past the inspection point and we realized they had no plans to do anything about it. After a herculean effort on our side to have them honor the contract, the salesman finally pulled through for us and the city executed it even though it was already completed.

While waiting for replacement skylights, they taped the opening up with sheet plastic and duct tape and sure enough, it rained. Big surprise - it caved in. We were at work and didn't find out until the rain had half a day to leak in our bathrooms, though we (and Sierra's insurance company, if they have one) got extremely lucky that it didn't completely flood the bathrooms as there were gallons of pooled water drooping overhead. My husband spent a couple of hours up on the roof in the rain to tape and tarp the whole area. (It would be unthinkable to expect them to come for an emergency service call after-hours to fix a problem they created, though we tried). The head guy who did the work on the skylights did not care to even call back to apologize. He decided not to come back to install the skylights and was literally ""MIA"" for a couple of weeks and no one was able to get a hold of him. Needless to say, general workmanship on the entire roof was sub-par, with very little effort to minimize puddling or grading for proper drainage.

The skylights were ""installed"" by another worker - they were haphazardly dropped on and didn't fit correctly because the bases were oversprayed. The wind could blow right inside since the skylight was off-skew by a couple inches and didn't fit flat on the opening. My husband got fed up trying to get a hold of Sierra and decided to trim some of the foam off himself so the skylights would fit. We are now attempting to get them to come back to spray a top coat around the trimmed sections so the foam doesn't degenerate without it. My husband reached them on the first try, and was immediately warned that doing something like that could void the warranty. They promised to call back 2 weeks ago to schedule a visit, and he has called nearly every day for the last 2 weeks, left multiple messages with multiple people, and no answer and no calls back since.

The only person who actually cared and tried to get any problems figured out when we had no one else to appeal to was Ralph, the salesman (which is not his job). He tried pretty hard for us on a few occasions, but the inertia of incompetence and unprofessionalism throughout the organization is too much to overcome. We even sent a email of grievances to the owner/manager which was never responded to.

Despite this entire ordeal, during every single conversation or encounter, we have tried to remain composed, courteous, professional, but direct and persistent on where they are dropping the ball - after all, we want them to execute. Good luck getting what you want when you piss people off by calling them out on their failings. But eventually we have to speak out and spread the truth on their business practices: Bar none, this is the worst business we've ever had to deal with, and unfortunately on such a large investment. If anyone from Sierra ends up reading this, and has any interest in attempting to repair their tarnished reputation with us, we would be more than happy to have our complaint tended to and to update this Yelp review with actions taken. Readers: if there is no update, you can assume no one at Sierra bothered to follow up.

This company has lost its license in February 2013. Which may explain in part why
it hasn't responded to requests for someone to come and fix a leak. I've called 4 times and feel like I'm getting the brush-off.

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. From the start, they were unprofessional nightmares. They asked for a deposit and immediately cashed our check. They never called and we had to chase them down to start the work (months later). They showed up at our house unannounced to start the work and proceeded to water sand blast our roof...it flooded our inside hallway because they were too stupid to check to see if the skylights were open. No apologies and no desire to show an interest in cleaning up their mess. Their workers were overheard making anti-gay comments about US while working on OUR property. They ruined our upper deck and did a shoddy job on the studio hut by also spraying our surrounding olive trees. They did not install the new skylights properly--leaving huge holes around them when they ""finished"" the job. On the first rain, our roof leaked and caused internal damage. We submitted claims and, to this day, they have never returned our 15 calls nor remibursed us for the damage to our home. Note that this is the edited version of what went on...

Now, we fear another leak down the road because we know that this company will never abide by their warranty. They should have their license to do business revoked. STAY AWAY FROM SIERRA SPRAY FOAM.

Don't hold your breath trying to get Sierra Spray Foam Roofing to uphold their warranty. They will stall, obfuscate and otherwise try to get out of any after problem of their work.

These guys are a waste of time. Not only are they difficult to get a hold of, they put our job off for 7 months... Then canceled our contract right before winter.

If you want a proactive and professional roofing company, do call Sierra Spray Foam. These people couldn't even run a lemonade stand.

If I could have given NO STARS I would have.
