Our POC was Jose. He was honest and straight forwards from beginning to end. He made us aware what was going to be done, and took us step by step as the work was being done keeping us abreast when issues were found with our roof and working with us to make sure we had a solid unit. The workers were courteous and mindful of our safety. I am very pleased with the results and am happy that they did not take shortcuts in the product. My house feels much more solid after the work and we are already noticing that the house stays cools throughout the day and cools off even more at night. I would definately recommend Sierra roofing and would use their services again.

I must admit, taking on a complete roof removal and replacement can be an intimidating project. So I decided like most consumers to obtain three cost proposals. I contacted Sierra Roofing by phone. There was someone to answer the phone, not a voicemail. I was scheduled for a review of my roof. Agapito arrived on time as scheduled. Agapito very courteously explained the major components of a roofing system, also providing many photos of options in a new roof. I asked many questions regarding the different components, the installation, the inspection process, the warranty, and also on different types of gutters. We walked around the house together. We looked at the fascia boards and other existing conditions. Agapito answered all questions directly. After reviewing other roofing contractor proposals, Sierra Roofing included a HIGH QUALITY 3D asphalt roofing shingle, sun tubes & 2 skylights for the same price, or nearly comparable. The guys showed up for the tear off and install. They did everything as Agapito explained. There is always a large mess after tear off, but they cleaned everything up. The crew was careful with my property. Then, Agapito returned several times to make sure everything was done correctly.

I had 3 roofing companies inspect our roof in March 2013 and decided to contract with Sierra based on price and yelp reviews. Finalized the contract in end of March and we decided on a day in early April that they would do the job (I wasnt at home during that day however they confirmed that they did do the work that day). They said they would provide before /after photos and detailed invoice.

2 weeks after work was done, I received a message from Sierra stating that actually their camera was broken when they did the work, but they'd go back up on my roof in late April and take photos. Mid May came around and I asked when I'd receive photos and invoice. They said theyd put it in the mail next week. By the end of May still nothing so I asked to speak to manager. He called me the next day and said it would get taken care of and that actually no one had gone back up on my roof to take photos in end of April.

At this point I started to wonder if they really did the work in early April. 8 days went by and I called manager again and he said didnt we talk just a week ago? 'I didnt have you on my priority list.' I told him to please have someone go up on my roof, take photos and send me a detailed invoice of what work that they did (almost 2 months ago).

The next week (early June) I received 4 unlabled photos of my roof and an invoice that did not describe any of the work they did; invoice only referred to an inspection report, however, the inspection report was not the document we had used for the final contract. I called manager again and explained again I want labeled photos of all the work done as per the contract we signed in end of March bc Sierra offers a one yr warranty and I need something that shows exactly what/where it was fixed in case I need to make a claim to be covered by warranty. He promised he would do so.

Over the course of the following 6 weeks, 2 people came to my house from Sierra approx 3 days apart and each said they were going back up to the roof to take more photos, (one visit I knew about in advance and the other guy just showed up a few days later). I told him that someone else had just been here several days earlier to take photos and he asked who so I showed him the guy's Sierra business card and he tells me oh that guy is one of our repair guys, so I asked him what is he repairing if he's only supposed to go up there and take photos? (my suspicion re: a lack of work done in early April has now grown).

More phone calls/emails and finally I contact Better Business Bureau and I inform Sierra that I have done so. Within 2 hours I receive an email from Sierra with a complete set of labeled photos and detailed invoice and also hard copy arrives the next day (7/31/13), almost 4 months after they did the work initially. And they didnt offer any discount for all the time I spent on this. If you want to hire these guys after reading this, then I wish you the best.

This is a top notch company, and I have dealt with a lot of service providers related to home repair. I worked with their Gutterman division. I needed my gutters and downspouts replaced. Two installers came out today - CJ and David. They were very pleasant, professional, and efficient. My new gutters and downspouts look great, and they left the place as clean as they found it.

As per the front end to the process, I had two men come out to provide quotes. Because the first estimator since left the company (the owner, Jeff, had good follow up), so Jeff sent out another person. The owner Jeff was good to interact with, as well as both estimators. I believe pricing is fair as I got a quote from another company.

I highly recommend this company.

I had my roof replaced by Sierra Roofing they were quick and courteous and fulfill all the request that I made of them. They installed an addict fan (That they let me purchase) and two vents for bathrooms. And when I had a problem the boss himself came out and did the work himself to make sure that I was happy. When my attic fan stopped working two weeks after the roof was finished Sierra roofing came back and install the new fan for me free of charge. I had a total of eight estimates for roof replacement and Sierra Roofing came in with the best price and the best warranty. I am very happy with the work that was preformed. I would definitely recommend Sierra Roofing to my friends and family.

My water heater broke and I was told that it was due to a clog in the vent pipe on the roof. I called Sierra Roofing on Monday and got an appointment on Wednesday. Jose came out and went up to the roof and inside the attic and found no clogging. He took multiple pictures and explain to me how things worked. He showed great professionalism and courtesy. I was very surprised when he told me that he is not going to charge me anything since the issue was not roof related. I would have happily paid him for his time and effort since he did spent a good hour investigating the issue.

Would definitely recommend. If I ever have a roof problem, I will use them for sure. Thanks, Jose!

I will split my review into two parts - roofing and solar.
I opted to go with one contractor to do both, absolutely eliminate finger pointing, from that perspective I made a good choice. But - always a but, you do not get best of breed.
The roof is great, the team was great and they stayed on schedule - my attic was messy but they did an ok job cleaning it up when I pointed out the mess. I should also say they fixed the problems associated with a very bad house extension done by previous owners.

The solar - everything went great until the electrician came to wire the system. It then got slow, very slow - they sub'd out this work and their main guy had a conflict. Their back-up guy was a piece of work. He spent weeks working on the system. Jeff, the owner was aware of the situation and was on-site several times to move things along. I don't believe it actually was on-line until their primary electrician came onsite for a few days that things started coming on-line. Jeff was rock solid through the whole process.

So my review of Sierra roofing two thumbs up, my review of the solar side is conditional - verify the electrician working on the job has installed your specific system before you sign the contract and is not the ""gentleman"" that attempted to do my job. If you get this you should end up with a solid system.

We have been on-line for 4 months and it is just wonderful watching the meter go backwards.

Five stars all around for quality of workmanship, service and maintenance.

Our roof construction is atypical for the area. It's a flat mansard, which makes it not only an ideal candidate for solar, but also more susceptible to pooling and leaks. So when it came time to reroof, we were looking for a contractor who could do two things: provide a bid for solar panel installation, and also suggest a long term solution to our chronically leaky roof. SRS did both. Three other contractors bid our solar -- SRS was the lowest. Their roofing bid came in higher than others, but only because they took our concerns about leaks seriously, and suggested resurfacing with a heat-reflective, water-resistant pvc-type liner, as opposed to the conventional tar-and-gravel surface already in place. The liner also came with a lifetime warranty. We gave both the solar and the roof contracts to SRS.

It was a great decision. The installation of the new roof was timely, with no additional or ""hidden"" costs. The crew was friendly and kept the site clean. And the liner works beautifully. The few minor leaks we noticed after installation we repaired immediately for no extra cost. They've even repaired some small items free charge after the warranty period expired. Terrific customer service, which is truly an anomaly in residential construction.

Same applies for solar installation. On time, on budget, and no hassels. Once they turned it on, haven't experienced a single glitch. It generates about 3/4 our of annual power consumption.

Many thanks to Jeff & Sean. We'd recommend SRS for either solar or roofing without reservation.

Jeff Basch, the owner and his staff from in Deb in the office to the project manager Aggy are excellent. They converted my 20 year old tar and gravel roof to a composite roof and re-slanted and coated two flat roof decks. My leaks are gone. I cannot say enough about their attention to detail and customer is always right attitude. I highly recommend Sierra to anyone looking for a new roof.

This firm just completed putting a new IB roofing system on my flat roof over my addition. The tar and gravel roof and the transition to the pitched roof had been a problem since purchasing the home. Sean made a survey of the situation and recommended the IB solution. I will say there were some mistakes and communication problems but each error was quickly resolved and I even was provided compensation for the extra aggravation. They showed up when they said they would and did not cut corners. They always left the job site immaculate. It is difficult finding a decent roofing contractor who will do the right thing for a fair price. I highly recommend this company and would have given them a 4 star if they were not a roofing company but being that the bar is set pretty low in that industry these guys deserve a 10!
