I reached out to Sierra Roofing through Yelp and received a super speedy response with an appointment, which was great! Prior to my appointment, I received a text with the estimator's contact info so I would know who to expect. They actually showed up when they said they would and after inspecting my roof, they said they are booking out 1.5 weeks so it would be no trouble getting the work scheduled. The estimator said he would have a quote to me by the end of the day or the next day at the latest. I waited about a week after not hearing from them again and sent an email to the person that booked my appointment and cc'd the estimator inquiring about the quote. Crickets.... No response, no follow up. If they weren't interested in the job, simply saying so would have been perfectly acceptable and would have saved us all a bunch of time and grief.

I'm glad I found another roofer that is super responsive and accountable. I would suggest you do the same.

Sierra did both our roof and solar back in December. I was incredibly pleased with all aspects of the project.
Manny came out to give us our initial quote. Very competitive with other roofing and solar installers (including Costco). I liked the fact they were a one stop shop so no coordination of services. They handled all in house. Manny did a phenomenal job of answering all of my questions and being available by cell whenever I had another question or concern.
Mark and his team managed the roof and were prompt, informative when I had questions. Did a very nice job and everything came out great.
Jeff and Alex managed the Solar part of the project. I didn't get a chance to meet Jeff in person, but Alex his site lead was AWESOME! Jeff is great too, and did a great job of communicating and even had a nice gift basket for us when the job was done. 5 Star Service for sure.
Alex did an awesome job of doing a clean solar install. Setup the system and went through explaining how everything came together. It's been 6 months since it was completed and the solar is doing great.
I would highly recommend this company to family and friends!

We had our roof in Oakland redone by Sierra and are very pleased with the results. Compared with other bids the quality of the roofing product they use (Landmark Solaris by Certainteed) had unique features such as invisible venting along the ridge lines, asphalt shingles that meet CA Cool Roof requirements, a lifetime transferable guarantee on the materials, and a 10 year warranty from Sierra on the workmanship. The crew did a very good job with the installation and left no debris or damage to the landscape. The Project Manager, Ivan, was very responsive to questions and resolving some fine-tuning required with the downspouts. The appearance of the house is much nicer than before.

Sierra Roofing was one of three quotes we got for a new roof and they came in significantly lower than the others so we went with them. We are happy with the roof and the time they took to complete the job.

Just met with Ivan to make final payment for the roof that Sierra installed and I have to say that I was really worried before the work got started. My attitude was stand offish and skeptical. My home is old and so am I. I'm a single woman, so over the years I've come to expect contractors to try to take advantage. Not all, but as a general rule it seems to be the nature of the beast. Well I have to say that I've been pleasantly surprised through the entire installation and transaction. The guys who did the work were very courteous, worked quietly and cleaned up the yard as they went along. But not only that, everyone was willing to stop and answer any question that I might have and really made sure I understood whatever it was that I might be questioning. And I know that prices have gone sky high these days, but I think I got a pretty fair deal over all. Needless to say i'll be calling them back next year to do the roof on my duplex.

Great Company if you are looking for Quality Job, Exceptional? Service, Financing and a? ? strong warranty. Gregg from Sierra Roofing has been amazing, the only person out of all contractors companies? that took his time to explain everything you need to know and how contractors?s cut corners with their job. I love who they have different options for? financing, including paying within 12 months? no interest. They? also work with a ?couple financial companies. Gregg by far is the most knowledge? and friendly person to work with. After talking to him I felt that I know pretty much everything about changing and putting new roof? on my house, he armed me with information that other contractors had no idea of. Like 30 Lb paper is not waterproof? only water resistant?. And you cant do this under the tile roof, a lot of other contractor quoted 30LB paper.

I have to say if the price was not the issue I would go with Sierra Roofing? hands down.

rediculous highway robbery. It is busy time for roofer right now so they are jacking up the price and lower their standard. 13,000 for new roof (shingle not tile roof) and extra 2,000 for gutter, this price only if you pay cash or check - pay 3% more if you paid with credit card. Who's going to pay this big bill with credit card anyway?
And, Chris said the work can start as early as November, and flexible work schedule if rainy started, what a joke!!
I will try to find another company more professional!! and honest!!
