Claims to offer a free estimate, yet wants $79 to come look at the roof we'd like replaced. We already filled out all of their info requests and informed them we have the materials, due to a contractor up and leaving. Initially, this was fine, but now because the job isn't big enough, they want us to repurchase materials through them and pay the estimate fee. The customer service is pathetic here and different people provide customers with conflicting information. I do not recommend.

Not a fan. one guy said one thing, someone else said another. They ended up not honoring their word. What a huge disappointment. People word doesn't mean anything anymore.

They need to train there guys. I asked them if they could install a new roof in an area an hour and half away. The agent said 100% they could do the job. Call today and nope we don't service the area.

We worked with Sierra on a re-roof and solar install with battery backup this Winter. We wanted a local company who would offer both of these services to minimize coordination and headache working with 2 providers.

From the first site walk with Chris, Sierra was professional, transparent, accommodating, prompt, and detailed. Our proposal was thorough and price was right on par with other roof replacements we had seen done and had the final costs for.

David and his team knocked out the roof work in 1 week, and was able to get us in earlier than estimated due to a change of plans on another clients project. Materials were top of the line Landmark Solaris which had the Cool rating and an extended 50 year warranty. The final install looks fantastic. Everyone on the team was polite, professional, and put in a good deal extra effort on a few late nights to get us water-tight ahead of a weekend rain storm.

Our solar project followed the week after the roof. Alex, Jeff, Carlos, and team were equally as fantastic. We had complete transparency on the progress of the project each day, and with clear expectation management with regards to working with PG&E. Our install was quick, clean, and well managed. Our system (LG panels, LG battery, SolarEdge inverter) is producing right inline with the system's designed estimates and we know it will serve us well for a long time. 25 year LG warranty, and the benefit of working with Sierra is that they warranty and are accountable for both solar system and roof. If we have a problem up above with anything at all, one phone call.

We would not hesitate to recommend Sierra to friends and family, and would not have changed anything in our project if we were to do it all over again.

Joe from Sierra roofing and solar came out and gave us an estimate to replace our roof and gutters. We got 2 other bids and to be honest Sierra's was the highest but Joe knows his stuff and explained the details about roofs and gutters, warranties etc... so well that my wife and I went with them. Another thing we considered is that they have been in business for many years so they'll be there down the road if anything happens. The tear down of the old roof and installation went perfectly! About one week later they sent a QA person over to scour the yard for any debris left behind. This business is special! We are considering solar panels for next year and may use Sierra roofing snd Solar for that project as well.

After the storm on Monday, we had a gutter issue and Marty came and gave us an estimate the very same day, provided a fair quote, and we will have our gutter fixed as soon as possible. I'm a meticulous project manager. I track all large/small details. I'm also hard to please. This was my first roofing job. I did extensive research so I was knowledgeable about the materials and roofing systems available, before signing a contract. Three quotes were considered. Multiple contractors were queried. Sierra Roofing and Solar eventually came out on top. They had the best pricing and warranty for my scope of work, each associate I interacted with exhibited exceptional responsiveness, customer service and comprehensive technical knowledge. And, they were able to remove and reinstall my existing solar system with a dedicated solar team.

Omar and Pedro have 20 years of roofing experience between them. They're both incredibly knowledgeable, hard-working and diligent, and they patiently accommodated my frequent interruptions to their work to ask them questions and make random requests. They're also very friendly and encouraged me to come to them during the install whenever I felt the need, that it was my home ultimately and they were happy to help me better understand their processes and methods. I was able to quickly build trust in their ability and feel secure that they were providing the highest levels of service and skill. The final product is beautiful and their expert craftsmanship will protect my home and family for many years to come. Thank you both, Omar and Pedro!

Solar Removal and Installation Team: Alex, Francisco, Jose & Carlos
Alex inspires confidence and is a true asset to Sierra! He leads the solar crew, which is a specialized team that only works with solar systems. They are able to focus solely on solar, leaving the roofing application to the roofing installers. This ensures that they have strict quality control and address every critical detail necessary to either install your new solar system correctly, or remove and reinstall an existing solar system. For my existing system, I required new footings to replace outdated, non-compliant hardware and they installed a mounting system that was up-to-code, adjustable, and aesthetically pleasing. I was impressed they didn't just try to re-use hardware that would soon fail and cost even more money later on to repair. They also discovered that the first solar installers didn't even hit the roofing joists with the footing anchors, but instead mounted right to the deck, which is totally sloppy. With the new mounting system they installed, they were able to mount right to the joists and clean up the previous mess. I appreciate their dedication and attention to detail, which was displayed throughout the two days they worked on the solar: Carefully removing the panels, stacking them far from the house and wrapping them. Methodically identifying my solar configuration so they could re-install it correctly, ensuring it worked immediately. Snapping lines for the new footings and cleaning the panels before leaving the site. And, like their colleagues, the solar team was incredibly friendly, accommodating and provided outstanding customer service. Thank you to Alex, Francisco, Jose and Carlos!

Scheduled an appointment for roof replacement consultation. The following week this company was relentless with email and text appointment reminders every other day. Kind of annoying but reassuring at the same time. Day of scheduled appointment get a call from tech that they will not be able make it and can they reschedule for the following week. This is at 9:30am, likely the first or second appointment of the day. No thanks, you wasted enough of my time and expect me to accommodate you by taking more time off work? Moving on.

I gave the company 5 stars, but I should be clear that all that happened was an inspection of my roof (they have yet to do any work for my roof). Nevertheless, I will praise them about these things:

1) Scheduling an appointment with Rhonda was a breeze, and she was prompt about emailing me a copy of their insurance (which I required before I had someone climb on top of my roof).
2) They have a good system for confirming the appointment. They include a picture of the person who will be showing up, which is a nice touch.
3) Robert, the roofing specialist, was on time. He explained well what he was doing and saw (he checked for any damage to the shingles and checked for any entry points for squirrels or other rodents around my roof). He made no effort to sell me work I didn't need. He was friendly. He was also very respectful about maintaining distancing during the pandemic and wearing a mask.

Overall, the whole process was very professional and smooth, so I will definitely reach out to them in the future.
