If I could give negative stars,I definitely would. This person that we met in Home Depot parking lot and asked if he did the specific work we needed,which was installing a new door in our daycare. He said he would come and give an estimate,which is the stage of the project we were in,getting estimates. My husbamd met with this person,and he walked in,then back out and told us the job would be 5500-6000 to install one door. At that point we had already had two other estimates,and the highest was 1400 WITH materials. Of course,my husband called me,and we agreed that was absolutely insane and let him know we would not move forward with him for this project. He then stated""well u owe me 75.00 for the estimate"" this had not been explained,not agreed upon,my husband explained that he never said that,and that we didn't have that to give. He got all in my husbands face,and was argumentative,threatening and letting my husband know,he was from the streets,I told my husband to call the police,but he didn't,he just left. We
ended up hearing that this guy does bad work,over charges,and hires drug addicts to do jobs for him.The guy then proceeded to let another contractor know,not to work with us because we
don't pay. I am now in the process of filing a claim against him for threatening and defamation. Please,don't waste ur time with this man. I'm grateful that we dodged this bullet,but I won't allow any lies to be told on my business.

I had a wonderful experience with Shepps Residential Maintenance. I had a pipe burst that cause a major leak in my house. I was amaze that he was able to make it before the fire-department came. The fact the it was an unexpected emergency and he was still able to come just WOW! If your in need of a plumber I'd highly recommend receiving services with them.

Do not ignore the reviews. Stay Away!

I run a property management company in Metro Atlanta. Never have I been price gouged the way this person (Rod Sheppard) / Shepp's Residential & Commercial Maintenance Repairs did. Pay attention to the reviews and take your business elsewhere.

Did repairs without getting authorization and charged double what these repairs would normally cost. Somewhat rude when I tried to talk to me about it. Vague invoice on what was done.

Recommend you take these reviews seriously.

This business is a rip off. Bad attitude and poor quality work. Stay away from them.

Don't waste your time calling (Shepp's). I'm not going to go into all the details. But he wanted to charge me $3,200 for a job I ended up paying only $375 for. This is a total rip-off and should be against the law. So if you value your time and money. Call someone else!!!
And he had the nerve to ask for half the money upfront...Can you believe this s_ _t! A lot of nerve!!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Charged a fee for coming out and didn't even stay ten minutes. He doesn't want to do the work, he's just floating around to get his service fee for work he's not doing. I also noticed that his service fee is different per household. Will NEVER use him again.

Ok so I've decided to have my master bathroom
and my bedroom painted and decided that I
would get a quote from these guys. They
informed me that there would a fee to come
and give me a quote, which was between $40
and $50 dollars. I'm a bit confused because this
is for home improvement, it's not like calling an
electrician, Plummer or contractor for something
broken or some major issue that interferes with
the operation of your home. I even asked if I
approved him to do the work would the money go
into the work. He said No. Also their place is
only 5mins up the street. I don't know it just seems
to me a little bogus to pay someone to tell you how
much( they want to do a job for you, especially when
it's something that I don't have to do. I might have to
go find a couple of Mexicans for the job ......

First issue he had is that he couldn't find the property, and I had to talk him in multiple calls to give directions. His service fee was $125, and this was not considered a part of his labor costs. I should have paid him this and sent him on his way. I had told him that the oven was heavy. He brought no help, and no jack to be able to lift it. I, a disabled Vet, had to assist multiple times in the installation, as he was unable to do the work. He didn't measure anything, didn't even bring his tape measure in. I had to prove to him that the oven would fit, after he failed to get it in, multiple times. Once the oven was in place, he did no cleanup, just leaving everything in a pile in the floor. His total fee was more than I make in a month, and he gave no credit for my labor. Never again.

Not only was the work completed in a timely manner, but he showed us what the problem was, how he fixed it, and ways to prevent issues in the future. We recommend him to anyone who needs repairs in their home or business. Great work Shepp!!

I used Shepp's to frame a bathroom in my basement. He showed up on time and completed the work in a day. His crew was professional and courteous. Moreover, they left their work area clean and informed me they would be back if I needed any alterations. I would recommend them.
