We have a complicated roof with a 12:12 pitch plus three large dormers on the front side of the house. Shelton Roofing was recommended to us by another roofing company who wasn't interested in our job due to the steep pitch. When Shelton's estimator Steve came, he spent a long time on our roof measuring things and very little time selling the company to us. A good sign. They completed the work a couple of weeks ago and we now have a beautiful new roof. Their work was meticulous, their price reasonable by our experience, and everyone who worked on our roof was professional and friendly, making it a very happy experience. Shelton Roofing has been around this area for a long time and I hope they will be here for a long time to come. They are a real treasure in this area.

This review is for a built up tar and gravel roof. We were very pleased with Shelton Roofing; they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and they did a very good job. Communication was good leading up to, during, and after the project, they cleaned up after themselves, project was completed on time and on budget (except for small additional charge to repair some dry rot), and the roof itself looks great. Everyone we worked with was highly professional. We paid extra for white gravel, which is what originally was on our little mid-fifties ranch house, and it was so worth the cost. We did find Shelton Roofing to be on the more expensive side. Their quote was several thousand dollars higher than the other bids we received. However, we decided to go with Shelton based on the across the board high quality reviews and ratings they received, unlike the other roofers who bid. We are very pleased we chose Shelton.

Previous roofing company screwed it up (Responsible Roofing) not too many years ago and I had continuous leaks in many places. So I had Shelton replace the flat roof. They were efficient, they installed new metal flashing around all the edges, came when they said they would, finished when they said they would. Much more professional crew and the roof looks so much better. No leaks in all the recent rains. A bit more expensive, but worth it.

I only write a review of something when I am extremely unhappy or extremely happy. In this case, it's because I'm extremely happy with my new roof from Shelton. Yes, they had a backlog this summer which meant that I had to wait for the job to start, but they fully informed me of that up-front when they came out for the estimate. Their attention to detail, their crew, and their clean-up were fabulous. At no point did I feel like they wanted to rush through the project to get to their next job. The estimator that I deal with, Sean Lawson, kept in contact throughout. When one of the other bidders asked me who I selected, and I said ""Shelton"", he said ""Don't worry you are in good hands, they run multiple crews, and they are very good"".

Boy, oh boy did we have a project! Not only did we have a house on the historic register, but our old dilapidated asphalt shingle roof was covering old redwood shingles from the 1800's! Sadly, for fire safety, those had to go. Shelton Roofing not only handled every last complicated detail for us, but they did it right on time and in the midst of heat waves! And they sincerely seemed to be enjoying what they were doing (I even heard a few ""Yahoo's"" that made me laugh out loud)! So the take away...happy crew, happy county inspectors=VERY happy client! Roof tear off jobs like ours are as about messy and loud as they get, but I tell you, Shelton Roofing made it as easy as possible. If you have to wait a while to get on their schedule, they are worth the wait. Thanks guys!

Shelton Roofing (Sean) returned my calls promptly and provided all the information needed to select a new roof. Once we agreed on a plan, the process went smoothly according to the schedule. I was impressed with their attention to detail, the removal of the considerable debris from an old shingle roof and attention to other details we discussed months earlier. Overall, excellent service and highly recommended.

We remodeled half our house recently and Shelton Roofing did our roof. After installing the full roof, Paul, the owner, realized that they had used the wrong membrane material for the type of roof and slope that we had. Without even any hesitation, he redid the entire roof. He had to supply all new materials and labor. I'm not sure I've experienced any contractor who was willing to own up on their mistake immediately and fix it without any hesitation. I'm really very grateful that he did this versus waiting until rain season and then realizing that we have a problem. Clearly he is honest and trustworthy and stands behind his work!!! Plus the roof looks great!

We went to three other roofing companies and were most impressed with the honesty of Joe who came out and their reasonable quote. But most of all was their service. Our roof leaked twice after they came out the first time, and they fixed each minor leak immediately.
Make sure you ask for Joe at extension 16. When our complex has our roofing redone in 8 years, we are definitely going to have Shelton do the re-roofing for our 23 units.
