When the Pandemic hit at the same time my roof sprung 2 leaks. I installed my own roof as an owner contractor 20 years ago. I had installed a concrete tile roof. I took 3 times over 2 weeks chasing the leak and mitigating it. What I found was the underlayment was failing. The concrete roof is supposed to be a 50 year roof. But the underlayment, that's another product. I decided to tear off the roof and replace it with a metal roof (aluminum) and I wanted the color to match the overall property design. I hired Sheet Metal Unlimited (SMU) and worked with Jacob their representative. He came across as honest and caring about the details that I would be expecting in the workmanship. I also drove up and inspected their office and warehouse because this is a significant investment and I was willing to pay for quality but was also expecting it. The warehouse was spotless and well organized. The owner Chris was also very professional along with the clean organized office and staff. The tear off and dry in went perfect and SMU replaced roof tongue and groove as needed. I was up on the roof about every hour inspecting the job and could not find anything they missed (HUGE RELIEF). The fire retardant layer, asphalt layer and peal and stick layer sealed up the roof 100% and the peal and stick is a sound deaden-er for the metal. The metal roof is the best choice I could have made. Total peace of mind for the long term. The job site was kept clean the whole time it was more than a pleasure to pay my bill. I would recommend SMU if your looking for a top-quality metal roof.
