We were referred to Shea Roofing by my boss who hired them a couple of years ago and was impressed with their professionalism and work ethic. When obtaining bids for our roof, we found that Shea Roofing was not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. We found that Shea Roofing presented us with the most detailed and professional quote and we had the most confidence in them to do the job correctly. They worked on our roof in March and we were pleased with the professional crew and the immaculate clean-up. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I called Shea Roofing in early March. Due to the high volume of recent rain, their voicemail stated that they were only able to book appointments 3 weeks into the future, but if prospective clients were OK with that, they'd be happy to assist. I left my number, someone returned my call, and I made an appointment--for late March.

In late March, Bill came to my home and inspected my roof, which has been leaking in several places. He said my roof is generally in good shape, but he identified several breaches, not only in the areas that are leaking but in other areas that are likely to leak. He recommended patching those areas, which sounded reasonable to me. He took my email address and said they'd send me a quote ""tomorrow.""

I never heard back.

About a week later, I left a friendly reminder on their voicemail. No call back. It's now been over *3 weeks* since the appointment--and still not a peep. I've now waited a total of 6 weeks for Shea Roofing--yet I'm right back where I started.

This is the very definition of ""flakey.""

I was not going to reply when Bill from Shea Roofing's
emailed me as I thought the email was disingenuous
and not true and I was going to leave it alone. I am
very busy dealing with a high stress job and other life
matters (like a leaky roof) but since you decided to
reply publicly on yelp- here is my response:

You mentioned that I ""insisted because Yelp said so"".
How impolite and not true. When your office personnel
said they don't service my area I simply replied in an
email that your website said you do ""all types of roofing
in and around the Los Angeles for 30 years"" and your
coverage map on Yelp and your reviews come from L.A.
If you did not want to do the estimate which now is very
obvious; you should have never come out. I take exception
to you saying ""I insisted"" as though I was bothering you.

All that being said- your company may do quality work
but I taught my children ""Spend your money where your
money is welcomed"". I stand by my review and again
your reply cements how I feel. I wish you well and
leave this bit of advice: your response in what you
say and How you say it to reviewers can mean the
difference of someone wanting to call you or not.

Bill and team did a wonderful job! Couldn't be happier. Caroline at their offices set up a time and followed up. Bill gave us a quick/concise/expertise/estimate and even fit us in to do the work the next day! Would certainly use them again and highly recommend them. Even our neighbors saw us getting a quote, asked Bill for a quote for their house, and he fit it in on the spot, and now they're set to have their roof done as well. Thank Bill, Caroline, team and all at the Shea Roofing for great service and quality work! We're satisfied customer!

I had a roof that leaked in a spot and made the ceiling droop. Since I didn't have any info on the age of the roof, I decided to replace the whole thing. I contacted 2 companies for quotes. One gave me a quote for putting a new roof on top of the old one, because ""that's what they do now"". Shea gave me a quote for the same cost... however, it included labor to remove the old roof, install the new one, repair all the vent pipes and capped them. They also did an upgrade to ""cool"" roof tiles, which qualified for a few hundred rebate and gave me the paperwork to submit to the city. The were quick, efficient with clean work and I felt I got a really good value for the cost. I will use the again.

I could not recommend this company more! Their prices are fair, they are fast, clean and professional and they show up and do what they say they will do which is huge if you've ever had the pleasure of working with contractors. After our job was completed, Bill Shae came and did a walk through with us to make sure we were completely satisfied before we paid him. Honestly, you will not be disappointed-call them!

Wonderful company. Despite not being the cheapest vendor, and in spite of several factors that caused the project to go beyond the intended budget, everything was transparent and ultimately agreed upon mutually. There were no hidden fees, deception, or gouging. Job was able to begin within days of signing the contract, and the entire process progressed smoothly and timely. If you don't mind paying slightly more than the next guy, I would highly recommend this company. But rest assured they are thorough & efficient, and do not take any shortcuts to ensure the overall job is completely satisfactory.
