All the positive recommendations here are spot on. Shea Roofing did a fabulous complete re-roofing job on our house. Their cost estimate was in line with other estimates we received, plus they threw in an extended 50 year materials warranty at no charge. We opted for radiant OSB (plywood), Thermasheet radiant barrier, and extra venting for the non-attic addition part of our house which added to the overall cost but should be well worth it in terms of comfort and lowering our utility bills during the hot SF Valley months.

The tear-off and installation crews were highly professional and answered all my questions while I was on site. The entire project was started, completed, and inspected according to the contract, and the cleanup was impressively thorough. Bottom line is that we love our new roof and have nothing but great things to say about Shea Roofing. Oh and owner brothers Ken and Bill are great guys.

I live in a two story home in the West San Fernando Valley where it gets mighty hot in the summer! The exact location of hell is Woodland Hills, and I'm hell adjacent (Winnetka). I had a new roof put on about 15 years ago - composite replacing wood shake. The good thing about shake is that it breathed. The composite is on top of plywood, which does not breathe. So, I've been meaning to address this issue and FINALLY got around to it. I did not know what the best solution to my problem was. Do I need an attic fan? If so, what kind? Etc. I had Bill come out and assist me with this dilemma. He climbed on the roof and assessed the problem. His solution was a ridge vent and 6 low profile dormer vents. He said that the way my roof is constructed, this solution was best and that I did not need a fan.Fine with me. Less electrical things to deal with. He gave me a written estimate on the spot.

Since I know nothing about the pricing of such things, I got another estimate, and another opinion. Their thinking was similar, as was their price. I went with Shea roofing based on good reviews, length of time in business, and the experience a friend of mine had dealing with them. Within a few days, they came and did the job. They were professional, friendly, clean, and efficient. I highly recommend this company.

Of course, since I had this done, the weather has cooled down, therefore I have not been able to properly assess the efficiency of this solution in reducing heat in my house, but that will come.

Bill came out to provide an estimate. He was professional and on time. Seemed like a gentleman, he is. After walking my roof he recommended some repairs and mentioned the roof is in good shape and needed minor maintenance, tile replacements, etc. He went to his truck and was able to print out an estimate and insurance liability forms, contractor license right on the spot; I guess he has a portable computer and printer in his vehicle. I thanked him.

Later I followed up via phone and asked a question on whether something additional needed to be done on the roof, I left a msg. Within 24 hours he responded to my msg and recommended against the additional item, said it was not needed. So he did not try to upsell or anything. He is honest and I can trust him.

I said to go ahead and do the work, he scheduled it and did it, I mailed in a check for the full amount. It's a complete and done deal. Very happy and satisfied with Bill's work ethic, professionalism and quality. I have zero bad things to say about my interaction with Shea roofing. I'll be calling him again for future roof work and refer people to him when someone asks.

Don't listen to the 1 or 2 bad reviews on here, some customers are unreasonable. For example, asking Bill to gather general contractor quotes for work he does not do, surprised he was nice enough to do that for a customer above. This customer if you want additional non roof related work, get them yourself.

Shea roofing did a job that included my patio roof and some touch up repair work near my power line wood connector and near my fireplace roof areas. They gave me a good quote and I was pleasantly surprised that I met with Bill Shea on Thursday for a quote and the Job was done in 1 day the following Monday. I contacted them after a careful Yelp review of roofers. I recommend them!

Easy to work with, prompt and efficient. I couldn't be happier with the work they did my room in terms of quality and price. Would recommend to anyone, but especially to Burbank locals. I can't imagine you would find a better roofing company than this one.

Shea roofing did a great job with my roof. They did a really high-quality job, and the roof looks great. We haven't had any rain, and probably won't for another three or four months, but presumably it will do the job it's designed for.

Something else to be aware of: These guys want you to be happy. There was something I was unhappy about when the job was first finished, and when I told them about it, one of the owners personally came over and climbed up on my roof on a 95-degree day to fix the problem. And he was really nice about it, too -- didn't make me feel like I was being too picky or like a difficult customer. Just took care of business. These guys are great. I'm really happy I went with Shea Roofing.

Shea Roofing has perfected the business model of roofing contractors. They promptly return phone calls, arrive on time for appointments, perform extraordinary work and are clean and respectful. I was provided with detailed information regarding the suggested services to be performed, plus what might be required a few years down the line. I was given a fair quote and, once approved, the work was done promptly and professionally. It doesn't get better than Shea Roofing.

This is a terrific company. From Bill Shea's estimate on forward, they did everything they said they would do, when they said they would, and cleaned up all the debris each day. The crew was courteous and careful, and Ken kept me updated on the progress so I knew what to expect. The roof looks beautiful, and the little extra things they did, like fixing some vent piping, told me that they really care about doing a quality job. If I could, I'd give them SIX stars.

Had my roof done started to leak not long afterwards.Its very discouraging when you put all that money out and it leaks.It took a while for them to return my call .My suggestion to you is not to use this company.
I looked at the reviews and they were really good,that is why I chose to use this roofing company,boy did I ever make a mistake.
