We had to get our roof done, and we shopped around. Few places got on the roof and threw out a price randomly... Shake, Shingle and Roll Roofing, came out, got on the roof and did measurements, handed us a packet and went over the process with us. In the packet contains licenses of all their workers, letters of recommendation from previous clients, a list of over 50 houses done in neighborhood and show us their employees are insured and company has workers comp (important) Also they were rated A+ on BBB. Dave showed us the different types of shingles we can choose from and was very Professional. Priscilla contacted us in the following days to give us an estimate to do the roof. It was a fair price and decided to go with them. They explained the steps to us what to expect and did a great job communicating with us during the whole process on what needed to be replaced (bad wood). A+ x10!! Highly Recommend!

Shake Shingle and Roll did a great job on our new roof. Great communication every step of the way, and they showed up every day, worked all day until the job was done. Cleaned up everything along the way as well. Not the cheapest bid we got (but they were a lot cheaper than the bid we got from Home Depot) but they really know what they are doing and take pride in their work. They told me they have re-roofed something like 42 houses on the same street over by Mesa College. Great company, honest and hard working. Two thumbs up!

I am grateful that I found this company to install my shingle and rolled roofing. I did get estimates from seven other companies and chose this one because of the professionalism and preparedness of the owner of the company, Dave. He came out to my home and explained all my options and showed me the materials at the first meeting. The office manager, Priscilla, is a gem and I am not exaggerating. She knows the business well and keeps up with everything including communicating consistently when everything will happen. The team that was assigned to do my roofing were both skillful and diligent in the roofing process for my home. The two main workers that were assigned to my roof were Steve and Jason. They were good communicators also which is very important to me as the homeowner and were always pleasant if I asked them where they were in the process. They were responsive to me and this is the way businesses should be to their clients but often it gets lost from owner to workers. I have a beautiful new roof that has a great warranty not just by the company itself but also by the manufacturer of the shingles, Certainteed. The final communication from the owner was to remind me to call them about once every five years for a tune-up on my roof as the sealers wear out over time especially in the area of East County where I live. I especially appreciate that reminder as this is a company that doesn't plan to go out of business but plans to be here far into the future. I am sure they will be with their attention to service. The date of this review is: August 24, 2016 which is the day the roof was finished!

This company was exceptionally easy to work with, and results were great.

For starters, I obtained one other quote for my project, and Shake Shingle & Roll came in much lower. Not sure if their rates are low, or just reasonable, but I can say that they seemed very fair.

They communicated very well, every step of the way--from the quote to completion of the job.

Work was completed efficiently and on schedule, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the end result.

I would recommend Shake Shingle & Roll to anyone.

I Just had my roof installed.Steve and crew did a great professional job!! I had them install the presidential roof and looks amazing.they showed up on time every day cleaned when finished.I can't believe someone leaving a negative reviews for this company after checking out 10 companies this one showed up did a professional job .I would not hesitate to recommend them for your roofing need.I am very Happy!!!

If I could give this company 10 stars, I would! I wish more businesses conducted themselves this way. First, I met with Dave, the owner who gave me roof lesson 101. He was thorough, patient with my questions and his pride of the company shown through! Then we scheduled with Priscilla who was a dream to work with in the office. They are VERY busy and that is a good sign! Be patient, it is worth the wait. They prepared me for what I needed to do before the arrival, had teams of people who removed the old roof, replaced old wood, then applied the new roof. Like clockwork! Took a total of two to three days. They kept me updated as to any changes in billing as additional work was identified and thoroughly explained what and why. Everyone was efficient, respectful and cleaned up like they were never there. They suggested improvements like replacement of an old solar tube and even sealed an area between my porch and house. Mike was helpful with wood replacement and built up the garage to avoid water pooling. Dave came out regularly to check on the progress. I did not get this good of an impression with other estimates.
No hesitation, would highly recommend them and you want to know you got your monies worth when spending this kind of money.:-)

I had a previous roofer check some possible leaks (no rain and dry at the time) and said the leaks were inactive (we were buying the house so this was part of the inspection). A few rains later that has definitely proven to be incorrect. Had SS&R come investigate and they found very obvious issues right away; removed tiles to check issues (which prior guy did not do) - was obvious even to the untrained eye there were problems. They did a great job fixing the issues and checked the surrounding areas thoroughly. My only grumble is their pricing seems high, but I have nothing to compare it to so that is just my general opinion. They have good communication, friendly staff and did the job well - which is what counts in the end.

I posted a negative comment on this business prematurely. I was definitely wrong, I did not take in consideration up just how busy this company is, after very pleasant conversation with Priscella my entire outlook on the company changed. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.
