A friend recommended SS&RR 5 years ago when I had a roof leak. I had a great experience then. After recent rains, I encountered another leak in a different location of the roof and went direct to them again without hesitation. Dave, Priscilla and Valentino were the team that pleasantly and professionally repaired my roof. They came out on relatively short notice considering their busy schedule from the first major rain of the season and a forecast for heavy rains in several days which came to fruition. As before, they were friendly, professional, honest and have many years of experience that alleviate concerns. They will get on the roof for the estimate and show you pictures of the professional work they did. They have my highest recommendation.

Steve & William did a great job fixing a flat roof leak repair & also general flat roof maintenance for a reasonable price on my 1923 home in North Park. They are honest, respectful & hard working guys that showed up when they said they would, were quick with completing the job & cleaned up properly too. This company was originally recommended to me by friends who had their North Park home's whole roof replaced by this team & spoke highly of their work.

The entire crew did a wonderful job. Kept us informed throughout the process and once they started the project, they did not stop working until it was over. We decided to go with the upgraded venting system for our attic and are extremely happy. When the project was complete, they cleaned up around our property including using a magnet to pick up all the nails and any metallics and debris that might've come off the roof. They even blew out our attached garage and patios. Thank you so much to Dave and his entire company. We highly recommend.

Thank you Shake Shingle & Roof for my beautiful new roof! I just purchased a house and it badly needed a complete re-roofing. Shake Shingle & Roll is very well known in my neighborhood (they're literally neighbors!) and so I gave them a call after receiving two bids from other companies where I felt like I wasn't being given much info as to what exactly was included in the bid. I was concerned about surprise cost increases and as a single gal, I don't have much roofing knowledge. SSR was awesome every step of the way. They came out before work the day after I called, got on the roof, walked me through the entire tear-off and roofing process and showed me various budget friendly and energy efficient options, explaining benefits and approximate costs of each. I received a written bid later that day, again laying out the different options we had discussed. Not only did I feel more comfortable that I had the information to make a good decision, but it was the most competitive of the 3 bids by a decent amount. They got me on the schedule just 2 weeks later. The tear off crew was done in just a few hours (thankfully since this is definitely the most disruptive part of the process) and the entire job was completed in less than 5 days as promised. The roof looks beautiful, they cleaned up every scrap and nail, and my house is a lot cooler due to energy star shingles and ridge venting they offered. I'm glad to start off owning this house with the peace of mind that comes with a high quality new roof. Thanks again guys!

I had Shake, Shingle and Roll replace my roof in July 2017. I met with David in my initial appointment. He got up on the roof (which was not the case for some roofers I met with), inspected the roof and provided me with his honest assessment of the condition of the roof. He was extremely informative and was clearly an expert of his trade. Their estimate was fair in comparison to other estimates I received, but David's expertise and straightforward approach is what pushed me over the edge to select them. They started work ahead of schedule, which was great. The process of removing my old roof and installing the new roof went smoothly. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves each day so as to limit the disruption to our lives. David, Priscilla and William were always available to answer any questions I had. They clearly went above and beyond every step of the way. I would highly recommend Shake, Shingle and Roof (as I have already done with my neighbors).

Shake, Shingle & Roll Roofing Inc. 4655 Ruffner Street #100 San Diego, Ca 92111 is the WORST Company I have ever done business with! I will only state facts in the review. This company was referred to me by the HOA my first appointment with them was very profession and they were prompt to the appointment. A few days later I received and estimate of the charges and approved them to do the work. The contract was signed with a completion date within 90 days I gave them my deposit and that is when the problems begin. October 2015 until April 2016 no work was even started. I would call the office and they would give me every story in the book why the work had not been done I even ask for my deposit back because it was 5 months into the contract February 2016 and Priscilla told me that I would not get my deposit back because I had signed the contact.... A little background on the property, this property is a townhome that did not have any roof damage but the neighbor's side did have roof damage and according the HOA the entire roof would need to be replace and both owners are responsible for repairing the roof. This property belonged to my sister who had passed away 7 month prior and I feel they took advantage of by grief. It was not until April of 2016 the work was started and a price increased by $2,000.00 dollars on a roof that was not even damaged. I asked them to leave any damage wood for me to inspect if any was found and they only thing they gave me that was damaged was 1-1x 8 shiplap, 1-2 x 8 fascia and 1-2 x 6 rafter tail and the price increased by $2,000.00. The roofer who was doing the work would leave gas can on the roof every evening I complained and nothing was done. They workers would start work at 8am - 3pm and take a 2 hours lunch break. You have been warned about this company. In addition to all that once the work was done I told them I will be in 3 days later to pay the remaining balance during that 3 day period I was sent a certified letter saying they would put a lien on my property if I do not pay even though I told Priscilla the day I would be in to pay them and she agreed. Shame on this company!

We had to get our roof done, and we shopped around. Few places got on the roof and threw out a price randomly... Shake, Shingle and Roll Roofing, came out, got on the roof and did measurements, handed us a packet and went over the process with us. In the packet contains licenses of all their workers, letters of recommendation from previous clients, a list of over 50 houses done in neighborhood and show us their employees are insured and company has workers comp (important) Also they were rated A+ on BBB. Dave showed us the different types of shingles we can choose from and was very Professional. Priscilla contacted us in the following days to give us an estimate to do the roof. It was a fair price and decided to go with them. They explained the steps to us what to expect and did a great job communicating with us during the whole process on what needed to be replaced (bad wood). A+ x10!! Highly Recommend!

Shake Shingle and Roll did a great job on our new roof. Great communication every step of the way, and they showed up every day, worked all day until the job was done. Cleaned up everything along the way as well. Not the cheapest bid we got (but they were a lot cheaper than the bid we got from Home Depot) but they really know what they are doing and take pride in their work. They told me they have re-roofed something like 42 houses on the same street over by Mesa College. Great company, honest and hard working. Two thumbs up!
