Great customer service !! Thrilled with my new beautiful metal roof! Steve Baguley was available to me through phone and email with no problems. This was my first metal roof and I had many questions and concerns. He came out and gave an excellent informative estimate and answered all of my questions and concerns throughout the process. If I had chosen to go with the traditional 3 tab asphalt roof, I considered these things.. What am I paying for? I am paying for a flash-mob crew of about 7 guys $$$ to descend upon my house & swarm it like buzzing ants , scraping, banging pounding ALL day long; $$$ for a roll-off container to carry off my old roof..and pay the dump fee; $$$ for a big truck to drop off a pallet of heavy asphalt tiles; $$$ for thousand nails for the 7 guys to hammer a million tiny holes onto my roof..and I have an old house that probably had many tiny holes of previous roofing projects already, plus I have to think about installing asphalt shingles in the optimum weather and what that means. Shady Vent had a trained 20 year professional and 1 assistant install my roof, they pulled up in 1 truck , I asked where are all the supplies??? Why, it is up there on the truck ...a small stack of metal panels, premeasured because Steve has carefully planned all the supplies needed for the job. There was NO waste, I know that I paid for 2 professional's years of knowledge & labor , 1 truck to bring them & my roof supplies. The installation was quiet and quick. No POUNDING. My dogs did not even know they were there. The result is beautiful, plus I know that I have a roof that will last longer than me, a roof that is environmentally superior, a roof that my neighbors love, and a roof that makes MY house stand out from the rest. I will never again waste my hard earned dollars on a shingle roof and I will use Shady Vent again because my experience was very good.

My experience with contractors lately makes me feel like I'm living in the twilight zone. It's as if they don't follow the rules that the rest of us do in trying to run a business.
Anyway, terrible customer service. I am not a picky person, but when you say you are going to do something, please do it. They said they'd be out to give us an estimate on a new roof on Day X. It came and went with no word from them, and trying to contact them got us no where. Meanwhile, we had to move on because we were on time constraints, and got our estimate from someone else. About a week and a half later, the person who was originally supposed to do the estimate called to say that they had finally gone out to see the roof, and that it was too steep and could not be done.
REALLY? Multiple competitors made no mention of the slope of the roof. Isn't that your job as a roofer to get up on steep roofs and fix them? Crazy. Not only that, but how about following through with what you promise or at least communicating if you are unable to.
