I hired Shadowcrest Roofing through my contractor. The work was completed 9 months ago, and I do not have an issue with their work. (We will see over time). I have a major issue with their communication and billing. I received a $6K bill 4 months after the completion of the project. I asked for a reconciliation of the bids, work done and money received. It took numerous emails over 30 days to get an acceptable response. I was corresponding directly wtih the President of the company. I asked him twice to call me to resolve the issue, but got no response. A full 7 months after the completion of the job I finally received evidence of the work done. I have paid the amount due based on my documentation, and am now being threatened with small claims court for what they say is due. I fully intend to pay what is due, but do not trust their bookkeeping, communication for professionalism.
In short, poor billing practices and unprofessional.

Shadowcrest roofing contact was given to me by my general contractor. Mike, I believe the owner, came out and put together a well thought out plan and estimate. I said I wanted to proceed with the work, Mike said they were busy and would take a few weeks to get me on the schedule. I said no problem I just wanted to start before rains in the winter. I checked in with Mike every few weeks and he kept putting me off saying that my job would be scheduled soon. Now it's deep into winter with rain and he basically has stopped responding. I would have went with another contractor if I knew he would not follow through on doing the job, however I already committed to them. I cannot comment on the quality of the work however the professionalism is lacking in my opinion.

Our 45 year old house and garage needed a new roof. We had cement s-tile but wanted boosted clay tile.
We did a great deal of research and interviewed several roofing contractors. The only contractor who came back with a workable solution was Mike at Shadowcrest Roofing.
We chose them because they were not only interested in our project, they said ""we can do that"" to everything we wanted. They did the entire job including demo, some structural repairs, skylight replacements and new gutters.
The process was always friendly, comfortable, and on time. We absolutely love our new roof!

Mike & Pam have been spectacular they have gone out of their way to get my roof inspected. My house is three years old shingles have falling off three times. The original roofer wanted to just repair it again. Mike came inspected the roof, sent a report with pictures and video. His recommendation was not to repair it needs to be replaced. Without his help I could have potentially had more problems. THANK YOU

Since my first review, Shadowcrest Roofing responded. I'm happy that they are changing their operating procedures to ensure no other customers experience the ""lost estimate"" as I did. This was the customer service I was expecting all along.

I was hoping to find THE roofing company to service my Oceanside rental from now on....unfortunately this company wasn't it. Adrian came out promptly to access my roof and I told him exactly what I wanted. Once it was time to get the work done, it was impossible to get in touch with him. Once the work was done, I went to inspect and 25% of the work wasn't done as we agreed. I went back and forth with the company many times and I finally got fed up and just paid them to be done with it. I asked for ALL broken pavers to be replaced and for ALL the mortar around the various vents to be replaced and it was not done. Also, they left a bunch of old tiles sitting on top of my roof.

The only bright spot about the company was the nice ladies that answer the phones and take the payments. I guess when it's time to replace the entire roof, I'll find someone else to do the work.

I know Alex and his team to be honest and professional roofers. As a Realtor, I need a roofer I can depend on and Shadowcrest delivers. They are great for inspections and reports, but really know how to take care of a customer with service and results. Alex is my 'go to roofer' in North County.

After building a large shed, about 200 sq ft, I hired Alex to put the shingles on the roof. He was quick, efficient & definitely worth the money. He knew exactly how much material I would need and didn't waste anything. He is also very pleasant to work with. I give him my highest recommendation.
