I called these guys for an estimate on fixing a cracked roof tile. I had to make 2 calls in order to get a call back - that's OK these days as all roofing contractors are slammed because of El Nino. However, the person that called me back asked immediately if I had lightweight concrete tiles, to which I answered ""yes"". He then said that ""you can't walk on those without breaking a half dozen"". This is materially untrue, I've been on the roof myself as well as other contractors, and no one, repeat no one has ever broken a single tile. When I challenged him on that assertion, he proceeded to get very smug and proceeded to tell me he knew better. The roofing contractor I eventually did get to repair the tile was able to walk the roof several times without damage. Shame on you Seqouia - don't ever treat a potential customer like that. It tends to make us write angry reviews.

Thoroughly impressed. Sequoia was the 5th roofing company I called because there was a leak by my kids room that needed to be fixed before the next rain storm. Every other company I called was going to make me wait for at least 2 months just to have someone come out. Sequoia had someone come out the next day, had a quote emailed, and the work was finished the following day. Thank you, Aaron for your follow up, and thank you all for being so quick and efficient. While I don't want more roof problems, if I encounter them, I'll be calling you for sure.

Called their service: 2 days later, no response.

If you don't need the work or don't have the capacity, at least let people know. But don't leave potential customers hanging, who are trying to give you business.

Rudy came by to do a quote for a roof repair. He arrived on time and was very friendly. He suggested that we should go with the original people who did our roof and will most likely get a cheaper price. He couldn't find anything wrong (as the other 3 roofing companies couldn't find it either). I will follow his advice to contact the original roofers. I appreciate his honesty!

I had Rudy out to check two properties that had significant leaks. I assumed both needed new roofs or major repairs. With a lot of experience and integrity evident he pointed out simple steps to take to fix the problems and suggested that I use my handyman.
He also offered a number of tips to make sure I would not need his services for quite a while.
This guy must sleep well at night.
I would not call anyone else when I do need a new roof.

Sequoia is an outstanding roofing company. Rudy Turner managed the whole process. He came to inspect our roof and gave a competitive quote. He followed up with samples of shingles and answered all our questions thoroughly. During the tear off and roofing, he coordinated closely with the crew, and quickly resolved all issues. The roofing crew was excellent. They communicated well with us, and did top quality work. They also coordinated well with a general contractor who was replacing some siding. The best thing about Sequoia is that they care a lot about Customer Satisfaction. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy about all aspects of the job.

Very helpful! My gutter installation guy had noticed something suspicious about my roof. I called Sequoia to take a look at it. Not only did they get back to me right away, the looked at it the same day. Their assessment was that my roof is fine and for me to call them back in 10 years. Rudy (The Roofer) responded quickly to our request for a bid on our roof replacement and provided a quote that covered our needs without adding a bunch of unneeded options. He recommended using the highest rated roofing material which carries a lifetime warranty.

We appreciated receiving the information we needed without being overwhelmed.

We called three times on three different occasions and left msgs each times with the answering service. The 2nd time I called I asked do you think someone will call me back soon and the person says ""I don't know do you want to leave a message or not"".

I realize my Yelp review is more for the Answering Service and not the company....unless Sequoia is receiving our messages and not returning calls. But based on the calls it's probably the answering service.

So Sequoia, tell me the name of your answering service and I'll cut and paste my review onto their Yelp page.

We were in Escrow on a home and had this company come out to check the roof. Gave us a free estimate, answered all my questions. Very nice guy and on time. We will definitely call them again.
