System went down several months ago and not yet repaired. I am now on my 4th call and trying to get someone to call me for installation of broken solar edge controller. The controller was ordered on December 9th and shipped January 19th. They are good and selling and installation but fall short with anything after that.
Charles H.I just saw a Semper Solaris commercial on TV. Please avoid them. I'm an OEF and OIF veteran and they fucked me. Deceptive sales guy. Repeated delays. My simple project lasted over a year, they damaged my house and did not make things right. The owner refuses to engage with customers. This is an overspread org that can't keep track of their own subcontractors. Stay away from these crooks that give combat veterans like me a bad name!
Nick J.OVER TWO YEARS we have been working on this solar project with Semper Solaris. They are STILL not finished and everything was installed months ago. The worst part is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of anyone at their company. You will wait on hold for hours to speak with a representative. We're lost in the machine with these guys and it has been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with them. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR YOUR SOLAR PROJECT, they will leave you hanging out to dry.
I hired Semper to put in an Enphase battery backup system. They did not file paperwork properly and I lost my original loan rate per the contract I signed. Then after more change orders the actual work started and in the process of connecting the battery system cables to my solar panels they damaged my roof tiles and removed an entire section of roofing. They left my northern california roof with nothing but black plastic garbage bags and never replaced the missing tiles. Months later they sent some one out who was not a licensed roofing contractor to ""fix"" things and he actually made it worse by shoving broken tiles in between the missing sections and plastic. I then hired a licensed california roofing contractor and paid for the damage Semper caused myself. Had I not paid for the repairs, my home would have suffered THOUSANDS of dollars in damages. I have requested reimbursement for the repairs and they just keep having different people call me saying they are ""looking"" into it but no one calls back with a solution. I cannot in good conscience recommend working with this company.
Mike P.We had Sempra Solaris come out and give us a bid. We thought it was high, but they seemed like a reputable company...NOT!! Do not, for ANY reason, no matter what someone else tells you, ever use this company for solar or roofing! They destroyed our roof! We just had a brand new roof installed and it was less than 6 years old. Because of what they did, we no longer have a warranty on our roof and the roof in the attic looks like a waterfall when it rains in many areas! It also is going to cost over 13K to fix what they did! There were multiple holes drilled into our roof so these clowns could find a beam to screw there lag bolts into. In MANY places in the attic I found 9 straight drill holes in a row until they could find a beam to screw into! They knew what they did, so they put glue on the roof to try and seal up the holes! You can't get a hold of ANYONE, especially a manager that has any authority to help us and talk directly to us. We have now filed a complaint with the state licensing board and the BBB sense its been like pulling teeth to get a hold of ANYONE from this company! They are coming out in Feb to look at it, along with my roofing contractor and have put us off for 3 long weeks until they would even come out! Please beware of this company and don't ever use them for ANYTHING! There commercials are a complete and utter lie and I never saw ONE SINGLE vet working for them, because I asked all who worked on the roof! Hope this helps many of you to stay away from Sempra Solaris.
Where do I start? Semper Solaris has been a complete and utter disappointment. My solar contract was signed with them on August 22. It is now January 2023 and to this day, not one thing has been done. They were quick to get my signature on the contract and to sign on the dotted line and after that, not even a call. My representative that made the pitch, is not returning my calls or text. I have been calling customer service since about October 22 to get a ""Project"" update and each time I call, they tell me the same thing, ""Someone"" will reach out to me to schedule the project and start the work. I trusted them and did not push the issue, but now this is getting ridiculous. On my two most recent calls a have been given the same excuse. ""Someone"" will call to ""Schedule"" the work. I went with Semper Solaris not because their prices were the lowest, because there are other companies that came in with a lower bid, but because they were a reputable company and they touted their experience and customer service.... At this point I'm not impressed and looking to get out of the contract. If they could just be honest and tell me the real reason why my project is stalled, I might be more understanding. But after multiple calls over the past few months, I still cannot get a straight answer on why my project is stalled. Going on 6 months now and still no solar panels or even a call back from someone to explain the delays. If you are reading this review and have other options, other than Semper Solaris, I would strongly recommend those other options
2023 Update. With the recent rains, we have now had three separate leaks in our brand new roof. Each time that they repair the faulty seams (or actual un-welded holes), they tell us they have checked the entire roof for additional problems before leaving. Then, there is a new leak which makes me wonder not just why it was so poorly installed, but if they know how to check for additional problems. We are currently waiting for someone to respond to our emails and texts to come and repair the latest one that leaked over one of our bookshelves.
Install of Tesla Powerwall was done in a professional manner.
The solar rebate hasn't been issued yet after 8-9 months since install. I was told by Siemper, I had to call their main office, that PG&E wasn't offering the rebate at this time. So, still waiting!
I was told that the battery representative would come out to explain how the system operates using the solar app they install on your iPhone. I guess they don't do that service anymore. I had to call their main office to speak to the representative. He told me if I had any questions to please call him. It would have been nice to be instructed on the app, it would have saved me a lot of time.
I have to clarify as this all started in November and it's been a nightmare just when you think it's been all the way to January 20th water coming in my living room like water fall since November 11th isn't right but I'm reassured they are sending a Restoration company to get things done right but no in stead is one guy that thinks it's ok to tape it coat it so that all the other wet crap mold contamination area aren't delt with just crap again I think it's horrible I wrote a review being honest no reply but I changed it on the 20th thinking ok they are going to get everything fixed our carpet walls ceilings windows shutters Christmas tree ornaments hand made on and on ruined our furniture has been exposed to water this sucks
I originally contacted Sempra Solaris for a quote to expand my existing solar system. After evaluating the existing system and the roof, we determined that the roof needed to be replaced as well as the solar. We have now had to call them three times to have the roof looked at because there is a leak. There is now water damage inside my house. Sempra is working to resolve this issue but I would not recommend this company for anything outside of a solar system instal. Very disappointed in the quality of work from this American owned company.
