Since Tracy once again has tried to make it seem that Semper Solaris might have done something right, I'm updating yet again. My problem was resolved by Tesla. Until I posted the updated review several days later, I heard NOTHING from Semper Solaris. When I did hear from them it was not from technical support, but to just blow smoke, like Tracy has done.

Since she's opened the door, I should also mention that I'm going to be paying an actual licensed, competent electrician to fix the hideous mess they made of the outside of my house. It's going to be expensive.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY OR TIME.

We started with a plan to install solar panels along with our new roof. Once we had a contract in place, I was surprised at how fast Semper Solaris completed the project and how clean they left everything. Fast forward a year later, and we contracted for a Tesla battery. Unfortunately, the rep we were dealing with left the company and didn't tell anyone we had signed a contract for this battery. It was Bill LaCommare who stepped in and expedited the project. The crew spent time with us to understand exactly what we needed. We were lucky enough to be able to afford a second battery and, again, Bill and all at Semper Solaris were friendly and efficient, and perhaps most importantly, reachable whenever we had questions. (Bill even responded to a quick (text) question while on vacation.

The roof, solar panels and battery projects all went smoothly and passed inspections without issue. FYI, understanding that staffing at all companies may be tough, all of our questions sent via text or email got a response within one business day.

Bob Mellino and Rafaela highly recommend Dawn Williams of Semper Solaris for your future solar projects. Dawn helped us on two solar projects (installation and back-up Tesla batteries). We contacted several solar companies before her; to that I say 'RUN, DON'T WALK!' Not so with Dawn, she is extremely knowledgeable, straightforward, honest, and caring of her clients. She answered all our questions regarding our projects and contracts, without hesitation. I have several decades of experience as a California licensed Real Estate broker and Loan Officer and am not in the habit of endorsing a business or individual, unless they are stellar or exceptional, because invariably it will always reflect on me if things don't pan out. Dawn is that person; extremely bright and a wonderful human being. She will remain your go-to person long after the contract is signed.

We needed to replace our roof and thought it would be beneficial to have solar panels installed, too. Bill LaCommare was not only our sales rep but also had our backs throughout the whole process. There were many moments we had questions about doing the roof and solar panels in the beginning, and we, unbeknownst to us, asked Bill while he was having family/friends time. He kindly told us he would answer our question afterwards, and he followed up. I was quite impressed with his response and patience. As neighbors and friends have noticed and inquired about who installed the solar panels, I have continuously sung praises for both Bill and the Semper Solaris team who managed our roof, solar panel, and now battery installation. The care, the calls to check in with us is why we highly recommend them. Thank you Bill and the Semper Solaris family.

worst customer experience imaginable. Project in process and zero proactive outreach and updates provided to existing customers and absolutely no way to get an update or reach an actual human. Company sites list multiple phone numbers -- ALL of which go to some AI system so you are forced to either stay on hold for however long you can stand it or request a ""call back"" by some random rep. Emails go unanswered. The only response to messages sent were auto generated texts to schedule a marketing/sales appointment! Completely unacceptable, completely unprofessional.

It took 5 months for them to finish our solar system. We already had the panels. It did take 2 days to put on the new roof. And the battery was actually installed in July. But Semper Solaris was unable to pass two City inspections, and was delaying the third inspection until November 25th. They did finally passed the third one on November 10th after I hired a lawyer. After the Cupertino inspector left, the technician informed me he would be turning off the power in order to put all the system back together. Then he left the site without turning the power back on. Calls to Semper Solaris did get him back here and my power was restored after a couple of hours. However, I have since learned from the manufacturer of the battery that sensors under the solar panels are not reporting and stopped reporting on November 10th. The manufacturer has given me instructions on how to get them and the system back online properly. I'm in the process of finding a new solar company to complete those instructions. I do not recommend Semper Solaris.

We had an urgent need for an HVAC tech. Kieanta (Chianti ""like the wine"") Rice was dispatched. He was on time, courteous, professional and very knowledgable of the work necessary to resolve our issue. He was quick but thorough and shared vital information with us in regards to our AC unit we've enjoyed for over a year now. We highly recommend Kieanta for your HVAC needs should they arise.

It looks like Semper Solaris has a few different offices so I hope I'm rating the right location.

We had solar panels and a new roof installed in 2016 by a company that heavily advertised on TV and print but has since gone out of business (probably because they did horrible, shoddy work). Three years later, a few of the solar panels weren't producing as much energy as the rest of the panels so we called their service department to come out since it was still under warranty. They said they were understaffed and demanded $300 to just come out to look at the panel. Annoyed, and not wanting to give them any more of my money, I decided it would take some time before the loss of energy produced equaled $300. Shortly after, they went out of business and I feared I would be screwed if anything went wrong with the solar panel/system. Fast forward to June 2022...I noticed the app that monitors the panel output was offline. I called around and Semper Solaris was one of the few places that is willing to service solar systems that they did NOT install. It took a few days to hear back from them but I was able to schedule a service call at a reasonable price (and CHEAPER than the crooks that installed the system!).

Rubin was the service technician that showed up and he was AWESOME. He looked at our system, called Enphase (the manufacturer) and was able to get our system back online in a short period of time. He also confirmed that while the app was offline, we were still producing and sending energy to the grid (that made me feel better). He climbed to our roof, took a look at the troubled panel, couldn't see anything wrong but cleaned it off and said give it a few days to see if the reading would get better. He had such a great attitude and was pretty much willing to do whatever we needed to make sure he left us happy. He even cut down a few tree branches that were shading the panels (with our approval, of course). Turns out he used to install solar panels but moved to the servicing side. I would not hesitate to call Semper Solaris again and definitely ask for Rubin.

We bought a new home in 2019 and wanted to get Tesla Powerwall battery so that if there is an outage our little kids could study without interruption and also save $ on the PGE true up charges. Our roof has got Sunpower solar. We wanted a battery that works with our roof solar. I called so many companies like EnPhase, sunpower, LG, Tesla etc for a battery and they all mentioned I need to change both my roof solar and the battery which would cost me almost 35000$ for one battery and 50,000$ for two batteries. Then I ended up with Semper solaris and they didn't push me to buy everything for their business. They gave me a good deal and assured me that they will take care of everything like city permits, SGIP etc. What others found impossible Semper made it possible. I paid 1000$ as deposit and was put in queue and was told the battery could come in April and interestingly in just one month, the battery came in January and I got a call and in less than a week they came and installed everything professionally.

I was assigned to Jessica Robertson for any questions or issues with my battery. She is very knowledgeable and friendly throughout the process. I always got prompt answers for my questions and meaningful timelines for my rebates. She treated me more like a friend rather than a customer. She genuinely cares for customers and was very soft-spoken. Together both Semper and Jessica have made a good impression on me.

I am not normally a person who writes reviews, but when I spoke to Jessica, I felt she needs to be rewarded for her professional behavior and friendliness which wins business.
