I was very happy with these guys doing my roof. Everything was super fantastic. They would have got five stars but I had a real hard time getting in contact with them. I knew they did a great job because my neighbors had them do their roof a couple years back. They were reasonable priced and totally reliable. When it came time for me to do my roof, I called several of their phone lines and left numerous messages. No call back. Two months later, I called and left another message and got a call back. They were very busy but were able to get the roof done in one day. Zach is wonderful and so was his crew. The only feedback for areas of improvement was the lack of communication. If they fix that they are golden.

We have 2 styles of roof...your typical peaked roof, which 2nd generation did a fine job on ....thus the 2 stars...
Our other roof is a slightly sloped roof---if I could give negative stars I would. It has been a problem from the first winter. I won't go into it...long story short, they are poor at communication, follow up, or resolving it. Do not get a flat or slightly sloped roof from 2nd Generation Roofing!

Hopefully they roof better than they communicate. Didn't show for an estimate appt. Never called, never followed up. Most be nice to be busy enough to blow off returning customers.

This is a wonderfully professional company! Communication was great, very friendly service. I originally asked for a bid on the flat roof on my detached garage and a week or so later I asked for a bid on the roof of my house. They were very understanding and didnt seem bothered coming out twice for two different bids in close succession. I ended up going with their bid on the garage because it was the most pressing. They called me up when they had a surprise opening, which I eagerly took. Work was done quickly and with quality and I have been very pleased that my garage roof is now leak-free. Thank you guys!

Zack gave us a competitive bid. Did our home and garage in less than two days. The crew was great. Whenever they were walking from one part of the job to another they were constantly picking up the occasional whatever had fallen to the ground. They ran a magnet carefully over the drive/parking areas of our property. The office checked in with us as the startup date approached and the guys came when they said they would. I can't imagine a smoother operation.

We recently had our roof and gutters replaced by second generation roofing, I called many places and got a few quotes. This was the best price, zack was professional and very easy to work with! They were timely and efficient, had the job done in a day and a half! They did an excellent job, I highly recommend them

Had a complete tear down of my roof 6 years ago and new installation.. Roof shingles
started to develop bulges in a few areas and called for warranty repair. Steven Daniels,
Project Manager responded and agreed to fix the roof. Roof was fixed this Wednesday.
Good to know that a company stands behind their work. Very pleased with Steven and his excellent crew.

After several years I went on my roof to paint. When I did I found that the flat part of my roof was retaining water. I asked 2nd generation to come review their work. The first person looked the roof over and stated the roof was not sloped correctly but would have to take the information back to his office. After a couple of calls because my wife and I had not heard from anyone we were told another person needed to look at it. This person said the roof is ok and the slope was ok. Most flat roofs have an inch of pooling water. Even though ours was a couple inches it was still within specs BUT they could fix the drainage issue for 500 dollars. Since I had two different opinions from the same company. I decided to contact the owner. After no returned calls for three weeks I went to their office. The secretary, who was very nice, contacted the owner. I talked to him on the phone and after asking why two employees had different responses I was pretty much told that they didn't cover the flat part of the roof and that the standing water wouldn't cause any problems. But they would be willing to fix it for several hundred dollars. There was no ""let me come over and see why two employees differ "" or ""let me take the time to look at it myself"" just I was wrong and that they did not cover the drainage of flat roofs even if they worked on it. Except for the secretary and the first guy I have pretty much been told I don't know what I am talking about and the two plus feet of pooling on my roof is ok.

Second generation roofing did my roof 3 years ago, this winter has been the worst rain and storm season we have had in probably 30 years. The roof has had no problems what so ever and has not leaked and has held strong. Dale came out to my house and gave me a very fair estimate for a tear off and new shingles. We set the date up for the following week and his crew not only showed up on time but 10 minutes early. Dale has a very efficient crew of 5 or 6 guys, they had the old roof torn off and the new roof put on in around 6 hours or better and we're very clean and left no mess behind. I highly recommend second generation roofing for the great and efficient job they did for me.

This company is the worst! The roof leaked with the first rain! Water running down the walls and pooling on our tile floor, causing interior damage they would not repair. Skylights they installed leaked too. The owner tried to get out of repairing them arguing they did not install the very skylights that they installed!!! They ended up coming back twice to repair their shoddy work. It's been 12 years now, and every winter we have leaks around the skylights. You never stop paying for poor quality, but expensive, workmanship. You have been warned.
