Shanika G T.Have you ever walked in a store and instantly got sleepy? Or have you ever walked in a store and said ""well hello 70s""? If you want to experience any of those scenarios, try sears. The atmosphere walking in was not very inviting. The lighting seemed dim and the areas were not clearly defined. I seriously wanted to take a nap after walking through the store. I looked at the ladies clothing and there were some good deals that's why they are not getting one star. There were some nice pants for $7 and my friend even found dress pants for $3. There weren't many items that were stylish to me to choose from. But there were deals if you were looking for those. The check out process was awful. After waiting in line for about 25 minutes, we got up to the front and gave our info for the shop your way points and the associate kept stating it was not working. Well it turns out that the associate was not entering the .com in the email. oh boy, that was interesting. It's an ok store just not a place im going to be running to go to.
Have not been in a Sears in a long time. I now know why its been so long. Horrible service, supervisor behind the counter is standing around doing absolutely nothing. Long line people are dropping their items leaving store frustrated. Simple return 3 or 4 items customer in front me, guy took 10 minutes to process. Manager still doing nothing, now one of the cashiers is singing along to the overhead music. This is a joke, go short on Sears stock, thank goodness they sold the craftsman line.
I have to express this horrible experience I had buying a mattress from SEARS. Please don't do it.......... Go anywhere but here. Their policies are the craziest I've ever heard of. I am in this business as a designer. Their Sears Solutions Department had me on hold 50 mins and 60 mins twice today and then just disconnected. I have written letters and gone to the store twice to have this mattress picked up as I spent 4500.00 and now I am sleeping on my sofa because the mattress actually causes me pain. I have a severe back and neck pain from being hit by a car. Can you believe they treat people so inhumane ? I cannot. I went to store twice this week and was promised a call by the manager and asst. Manager. No calls have come to me yet. I was told sleep on for a month your body will get use to it. And our salesman will lose his 500.00 commission. REALLLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU F$%KIN KIDDING ME?
They will be having a sale for Memorial Day soon...... go anywhere but here. I promise you will surely regret if it not the mattress for you or has a defect like my first one did. You can return a car after three days why not a mattress?
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN SOMEWHERE ELSE! THEY ARE THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN FOR HELPING YOU WITH CUSTOMER ISSUES. THEY DON'T CARE HENSE WHY THEY ARE IN FINANCIAL TROUBLE.
Great prices and selection, but while I was helping my girlfriend pick outfits and the assistant was extremely rude and wouldn't allow me to help her, and made her walk from the back of the dressing room to the main store to show me the look. She had several outfits and combinations to try and is very uncomfortable trying on new clothes in front of lots of people. Definitely lost my business today by not accommodating clients in a simple way.
Do not buy Sears jewelry!!! It's the worst quality even if you get 60% SALE that by the way they advertise ALL year round! it is not worth it!! Also even if you decide to get the LIFETIME warranty it will be the worst decision you will ever make because it wont make a difference, you will need to take your jewelry in for repair twice a month because the quality is horrible. On top of that the customer service is horrible!!!
The last time I dropped off my engagement ring to get the stone replaced because it had fallen out, I handed my ring over to the Store manager at Cumberland Store (the Jewelry dept. Manager had just quit a couple of days before and they had not replaced her yet) So I handed her my ring... 2 and a half weeks went by I called and talked to the newly hired manager she didnt know about anything, so I figured she was knew I was going to give her a break. But she said she was going to take care of it for me. almost another month went by so now it had been 2 months since I had dropped off my engagement ring and nobody had told me anything about where my ring is.... So I call back.. Talk to the new manager.. she puts me on hold.... tells me there was a glitch on the UPS system... :s for 2 months?? my ring was just sitting there on her counter for 2 months?? but she failed to mention that glitch the first time I called..? nah!
SOooo yeah save yourself the trouble/headache don't buy jewelry from SEARS!!!!!
Raj D.I went in to buy a dryer. Sales people were not pushy at all, and quite approachable and friendly.
Delivery day came and I was worried that it would duplicate my HH Gregg experience (lousy), but it was on time, and the delivery staff were efficient and courteous.
Would definitely recommend Sears appliance center for your needs! Fair prices and great staff made a smooth experience!
Jeffrey K.I had to go to the mall to return something I bought online, and I decided to wander through Sears out of morbid curiosity. I was not disappointed!
If you wanted dated attire, this is the place to go. The store doesn't look like it's been renovated in 20 years. After my adventure, I read an article on the finances of Sears and it indicates that this is true - they had allocated money for improvements to online channels, but have made no capital contributions to the physical stores in years. It definitely shows.
The downstairs has a strange hodge-podge of clothes. At one point, we couldn't tell if we were in the men's or women's section. No joke - we weren't sure. There was a giant Lands End area, so if you're into that, there might be something here for you. If not, you can explore the men's section (confirmed) where boys' sizes are intermingled into men's. See that XL t-shirt? HA! It's for a little kid! GOTCHA!
The upstairs is even more depressing. There are rows upon rows of dated appliances. They have a massive section of overpriced televisions set behind these big, clear plastic walls to keep it separated from the rest. What else do they have behind those walls? Vacuum cleaners. Yep, those two really go together...
Look, everyone already knows this place is a joke. It hasn't been economically relevant in 15 years, and over that time has managed to slip even further. How this place is in business is beyond me. Save your time, and go somewhere else.
DON'T GET IT TWISTED!
I don't shop at Sears, I simply chose to indulge my husband and escorted him into the store so that he could drool over the tools. After all, it is Father's Day weekend and what Honey wants, Honey gets. Actually, I have to say that their tools are the best and their warranty cannot be beat. I just don't care for their overall customer service in other areas. When I entered this store, I was shocked that it actually looked like a store. It was fully stocked and had actual customers waiting to be checked out.
I still walk through the Sears stores on occasion as I have been waiting on that ""closure"" shoe to drop on the remaining stores because each store I have visited over the past few months has been dead and looked as if it was in the final stages of liquidation, including one in Tennessee.
Apparently, this store has not been written off and is still a viable asset to the shopping community. For their awesome tools ONLY and their great replacement policy, they get three stars.
Mosiah L.I put a treadmill on layaway at this Sears location. Since I don't shop there often, I'm only going to rate it based on the layaway process, the purchase, delivery and overall customer service.
The store price of the treadmill I put on layaway was $450. But I ended up paying over $700 total because of the delivery charge, the assembly charge and the warranty. It seemed a bit much but I just considered it the cost of doing business. That's what I get for not knowing how to put a treadmill together from scratch.
The guy who originally set up the layaway told me that I would have 12 weeks to finish paying for it. However, when it was time for me to make my first payment, the polite, young lady behind the counter nervously stated that my agreement was not for 12 weeks but for 8 weeks. It turns out that she was right. I should have reviewed my paperwork instead of just taking that guy's word for it. Not only that; you have to pay the amount Sears has broken down for you to make with each payment. You can pay more if you like, but you can't pay less than that amount. Thinking I had 12 weeks to get it out and then being told I had to finish paying for it in 8 weeks made things inconvenient for me but I finished paying for it in time.
A few days later, the delivery department scheduled a weekday delivery. I told them that I don't get home from work until 6:30pm and the customer service rep on the phone said ok. Of course on the delivery date, I end up getting a message on my phone that was left between 5:30 or 6pm saying they'd tried to deliver my order but I wasn't home!
I rescheduled the delivery for a Saturday and they arrived on time. There were two guys that hauled my treadmill (which was unassembled and in a box) up three flights of stairs and put it together in my apartment. It took them only about 15 or 20 minutes to put it together and have it up and running. I was satisfied with their work and tipped them $5 each. They appreciated it and went on their way.
I'm rating Sears Cumblerland 3 stars only because of the little mix up with the layaway length and the originally scheduled delivery. But overall the customer service was fine and the ones who actually delivered my order were superb. I will do business with them again now that I'm properly educated about the process.
David K.I really wish the best for Sears. I have fond memories of going into their stores with my grandfather when I was little and alway having a blast playing with the riding mowers and other cool tools they sell. Appliances always made up a big part of their stores. On a recent visit I was surprised to see a sign advertising rent-to-own appliances, but I digress...
Convenient parking works in their favor because even though I'm not looking to shop here, there usually isn't anyone parked near their store and you can park close to get into the mall. Over the last few weeks I've made 2 purchases. One was a great pair of New Balance sneakers that I for got about $50. The other things was a mattress... and I love our new mattress.
Edward L. and I had been talking about it for a while and one day we decided to go over and look at beds. I wanted a Tempuredic and we ended up finding a hybrid version that has memory foam built into the top and a regular mattress makes up the bottom. This is a really clever way to get the comforts of memory foam without having to pay the price of a full foam bed.
Anyway, Sears was having an awesome sale where we got 50%, plus an additional 10% off and I think some other discounts. Regardless, it brough our nearly dream mattress to within our rational budget. We were able to take advantage of special financing available using a Sears card, so we won't pay any interest for 12 months.
Our salesperson was great and handled our paperwork almost perfectly. One small omission really messed up our entire weekend. He forgot to add mattress removal to our order. Then our delivery was super late on Saturday and we waited all day for them to bring mattresses and then tell us that they weren't taking the old ones. Very frustrating, but at that point there's nothing you can do. You just have to accept delivery and get them out of your home.
