I've spent some time now trying to find a someone to check my roof. My neighbor used and gave great reviews of SCM Roofing. Finally, an honest and responsive roofing company. Insurance wanted to drop me because my 5 year old roof had 2 shingles that looked out strange. Brian came out and immediately saw that there was no issue. They shingles were placed that way on purpose. He told me there was no repair needed and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. He suggested a roof air vent for comfort and to prevent warping which I will get installed, but told me that was the only thing he could see.

Very slow service. I'm talking snail speed. They start off by giving you a date they're coming out, then cancelling because they ""wrote the date down wrong"". Then they take almost a month to actually get you the quote because they ""typed the wrong email"". Super unreliable. Would not recommend if you're looking for roof work to be soon fast.

I had the unfortunate experience of coming home from work and finding water pouring thru my ceiling in my living room. Once I was over the shock and got some friends to tarp my roof I started the fun job of finding a roofer who wouldn't take me to the cleaners and would be able to do the job rather quickly. SCM was the last company to come out, Brian was wonderful he had sent out one of his employees to take pictures and get on my roof before he came out. When I met with him we walked around the house, he did look at things and then he gave me a packet containing all kinds of information. He took the time to discuss all of my options and the costs associated with each one, the warranties and financing if needed. He then also said that he would send out a crew to add tarps to my roof since it was in fairly bad shape & the rains were coming daily. I went back to my office and looked at all 4 proposals I had received and made the call to Brian. He had a crew out that afternoon to add tarps to my roof. They were very busy and he had me schedule for about a week later. I came home a few days later after several torrential rain falls to find that my living room ceiling had partially collapsed and I had water dripping down. I called Brian at 5 pm, he was shocked and said he would get some people over there asap. He arrived within 30 minutes with two men following close behind. They all got up on my roof and rearranged, re-tarped and nailed down every edge of the tarps, my flat roof was in very bad shape and had a belly, so this was the cause of more water coming inside. Then after that he had the young men come into my house and clean up the downed ceiling drywall and insulation, they swept up, mopped up and took all that nasty stuff outside so I wouldn't have to do it. He called me the next day and had me moved up due to my roof being so bad. His men showed up on time and started work, they worked all day (about 11 hours) and got my roof completed in one day. I was amazed, they cleaned up the yard and took everything away with them. Everything about this company from Brian to the office personnel has been wonderful, they made a very stressful situation much better for me. I would recommend them for any type of construction work, but especially your roof. They are my heroes.

After having an insurance check since October 2017, they did not signature verify the check. They signed my name to the check, than it got kicked back. I went to Well Fargo bank with them, they forgot check and expected me to keep running to bank! They sent insirance. Heck to me and I discovered signature forge. I cancelled. Heck and insirance sent me a new one. SCM put a lien on my house for the insirance check amount! Don't hire them! They are only a middle man to the contractors! Find your own contractor and stay away from your SCM PROBLEMS! They had that. Heck signed it without signature verification and blamed homeowner! Completely uborofessional On all levels. I had to hire another company to fix my ceiling and finish my bathroom! WORD....don't Hire SCM!
