We decided to replace our 20 year old roof, gutters and some siding on our almost 40 year old house. We obtained 3 estimates that were fairly close with Schantz in the middle. Part of our roofing replacement solution included a 7 year old porch roof that one company, due to the existing roof being glued on, over engineered to replace and another overlooked entirely. Schantz He suggested to not replace it now as it wasn't leaking or necessary. They also said we had another 5 years left on the existing home roof. Since we are in our mid 70's and things are not getting cheaper we opted to replace it now before the leaks and/or problems began but we appreciated the honesty. We chose GAF Timberline Ultra HDZ shingles with Golden Pledge limited warranty. As the work was being scheduled we were in constant contact with Liz who did all of the scheduling. She is one hell of an asset to her company and is a great communicator. The quality of work on the roof replacement was extraordinary as tarp was placed all around the house and the dumpster had rubber tires so as not to ruin our expensive aggregate driveway. Liz even called them to make a dry run before work started to calm our fears. Roof and clean up was done in one 90 degree day. Next the siding was repaired and two ""bird boxes"" were replaced with hardie fiber cement trim instead of wood. These are portions of the soffits that had unfortunately rotted. Finally, the 30 year old Leafguard gutters were replaced with new 6 inch gutters and Raindrop gutter guards. Our Leafguard gutters had lost their effectiveness due to black mold growth on the critical edges that move the water into the gutter. The Raindrop reviews are amazing and we feel are a big improvement. So quality communication and service, quality sub contractors, quality choice of materials and complete honesty have given us peace of mind in the work done by Schantz. From now on all our home improvement will be done by Schantz.
BTW no deposit was required and we paid upon completion of the total job.

Their prices might be higher than some other contractors, but these folks are selling quality. Greg is a great person to work with.

We recently had our windows replaced and we were very happy with Schantz. Greg and Liz were always quickly responsive to questions and we did not have any issues with high-pressure sales efforts from them. The team they sent out was fast, efficient, receptive to questions, and cleaned the entire work area up before leaving.

I had a small leak in my roof and gave Greg and his team a call. They came by the house within 3-4 hours to inspect the situation. He quickly identified the problem as an old nail (when the house was originally constructed) that had popped up. He sealed the hole quickly and I was able to get back to work in no time. I highly recommend Schantz for your roofing need. They are very professional and courteous and very responsive

Unless you're willing to immediately drop $7k+ on roofing with subpar products, don't waste your time. The staff were very pushy and were not interested in the requests or needs we had clearly outlined. They repeatedly tried to push financing on us when we didn't want it, just to get us into a $10k job. I looked into the products they use, and I'm in disagreement. They save on materials and pitch an appealing price. Do your research and find a company that works for you. Greg Shantz was very rude.

When we needed new windows on our home we called Schantz, while at the time we decided to go with a different company and boy to we regret not using Schantz. When it came time for a new roof we knew exactly who to call. Greg and the team were incredibly quick to respond and give us a quote (both times). The front office staff was incredibly helpful, and informative. The install crew were incredibly professional, fast, and made our roof look amazing. Greg and his entire team did a fantastic job with our home, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody!

My roof was in terrible condition and it needed to be replace. Greg was so kind and he explained everything that needed to be done in full detail. He did a detail proposal. When the crew came they were fast and did an excellent job. I would have Schantz do another project in the future. They answered every question I had in details. 5 stars
