update to previous review: for the background it was a job that was predicted to take one day but the guy would just destroy and dessemble the pool equipment (heater, pump, pipes, everything) and left it there for weeks without even letting us know.. literally would just show up and disappear after a few hours (no communication for weeks)!!!! next day we tried to call, text, nothing... weeks went by and I ended up calling the police and filing a police report. he came back and guess what... did the SAME exact thing again and again!!! I saw other reviews from years ago with the same experience (except those people actually reported their entire pool being abandoned and damaged... they ended up spending thousands more etc!! they should have had the guy arrested and actually sued for damages!!! all this guy could do is ask me to remove the review after a two and half month nightmare (also we had family visit plans and they had to come from europe and just stare at the nasty green pool , bugs, just terrible business they need to be accountable!! we are still very weary of this business and have our lawyer on call in case the finished product ends up being some scam in its self!! also have the police still investigating because they find this to be very strange and something that could result in serious damage, adversity, safety issues, and liability. seems this person learned nothing as they did the same thing (just disappear on the job and we have track him down for weeks/months to try to get out equipment back etc)) an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! Especially if you have children with ransoms coming and leaving??? No communication??? eventually finished the job but it's really not a sure thing considering the events that took place! We have our entire neighborhood on alert now as well and the local police department near by!!!

Ive had a jacuzzi that was stagnant for years that didn't work. I reached out to Mike and he was able to come by the next day and gave me a reasonable quote and had my hot tub cleaned within the next few days. highly recommend Schaefer's Pool Service!

Seemed great until weren't! Pleasant & responsive initially! No showed a few weeks during peak summer heat, which started some algae. Seemed like they we're going to try to fix the issue, but I guess they decided just to abandon it instead. Stopped showing up or returning calls. They left my pool in much worse condition than when they started. Now I have to scramble to find someone new to rehab a green pool. Ugh!

If you want a sparkling clean pool contact Michael from Schafer's Pool Service because he will know exactly what the pool needs to get it back in excellent shape. Michael is an honest and knowledgeable pool/spa service specialist. It shows that he cares because he has made critical adjustments to my pool equipment to prolong the life of the salt cell chlorinator, which will save me money.
