Absolute worst company. Representative/ account manager named Dan has terrible customer service. I am with an HOA and I urge everyone to go a different route. We completely replaced our flat roof for a good amount of money. They dont respond to email or calls. When I FINALLY get Dan on the line he was very rude and has anger issues. In our case they slapped stucco on the roof and were only present for about 30 minutes. They then randomly billed us about $800 because they said it wasnt part of the warranty. When asked why didn't they ask for approval before billing they didn't have anything to say. If you are going to bill a customer you should inform that the issue isn't part of the warranty(even though it was) and advise that it will be an extra charge. He said he would refund the money but will void out our contract, I agreed an he ended up hanging up the phone on my face. Of course it was complete b.s. We placed another call to speak to a supervisor and he was the one who called again a week later after asking not to speak to him. You get no where with this company. When you call them for warranty issues they dont come to fix it or take a look(they dont even answer) in my case i had to send an email with the contract copied in. I asked to speak to a supervisor and still haven't spoken to one yet. Very unprofessional and the entire board is upset with this company. We regret doing our flat roof with them. I dont like writing bad reviews but there is no other way of contacting anyone at the company. No other HOA or homeowner should have to deal with this type of bad service. This company is horrible. I advised i would write bad review and Dan didn't care one bit. I kind of feel bad for the owner having someone like that work for you and destroy your business.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. You'll notice a trend in the reviews for SBR that something happened after the pandemic where workmanship and quality control went downhill. I hope this company sees my post and it makes them sick to their stomachs what they are doing to my mother because of their negligence as my mom who is suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia by not Including housing while my mom will be displaced and forced to find other living arrangements and I'll be having to pay for those other arrangements and to pay for movers to move my mom's furniture because they are refusing to cover that part of the consequences for their utter neglect to tarp my mother's condo including 9 other homeowners condos that resulted in major water damage to our ceilings from relatively a small amount of rain a week before hurricane Hillary when they didn't come back to that particular row of condos for two days leaving the roofs exposed to a very small freak rain drizzle but major damage that was a week before hurricane Hillary passed thru. The kicker also is they signed an agreement with my moms HOA that they are trying to claim falls under the rain is an act of god even though if they hadn't neglected to cover the roofs and simply tarped the exposed roof as they decided to not return to the job site in my mom's particular row of condos they wouldn't have had any damage. They also damaged my moms HVAC condenser line a few days prior when they were doing the demo to the roofs and tried to tell my moms HOA property management company that they couldn't have caused my moms HVAC to stop working, and that we needed to find our own hvac repair person as they claimed it wasn't probably working cause my moms hvac was old. Little did they know by not properly inspecting the unit that my moms hvac was relatively new and that they said I'd be responsible for repair costs. I magically got an email from my HOA property management team that they had finally confessed to cutting the condenser line to my moms hvac ac unit. They did fix the damage they caused but wow again with bs I had to go thru to get RSB to fess up to the damage they caused. My HOA and the roofers and the mitigation is trying to force us to go thru our homeowners insurance but have already have been told that it would make my moms insurance rate to go up potentially 30 percent and that the insurance company that protects RBS doesn't want to pay for displacement, or movers to move furniture because of the damage cause by the roofers neglecting to secure the roof I'm case of rain.

So much more I could say but I'll stop.

I repeat do not use RSB or if you know someone that will be using them or if your HOA decides use this company please don't use this company as they will likely neglect their customers. Don't even

Stay away. Seriously read all the 1 star reviews. Everything they say is true. They have a singular focus which is the roof and any other destruction they cause along the way they just claim is not their responsibility. What a joke.

I was on the phone with this company about my roof issue and trying to schedule for work order and the person on the phone, Ryan, was extremely rude. Will not use this company at all. This company can start by hiring someone with better customer service and phone skills. Like many of the reviews before me, the workers here seem unprofessional.

UPDATE AFTER BUSINESS OWNER'S RESPONSE: Gary, yelp is not a great place for your business because it's a platform where users can share their experience and unfortunately, for your company the experience isn't positive. I have received 1 message from your company to try to schedule a work order but that was 2-3 weeks after I had called to report a roof leak. In that time frame, since I didn't hear from your company again, I found another roofer to take care of the issue. When Ryan called me today to try to schedule the original work order, I told him the original issue was resolved but that I have discovered a new issue on an opposite side of my house so we can schedule for your company to come out to take care of it. His response was rude and unprofessional. My advice to you is, whether you are dealing with commercial or residential customers, you can start by training your people to have better customer service skills - that's important regardless of what kind of customer you are dealing with.

Oh boy. I just read the other reviews and I wish I would've seen them sooner. I spent $10,000 with SBR to replace the roof on my house. Less than 4 years later, we have a bad leak. My handyman opened up the wall to see where it was coming from; the plywood under the roof is rotten and growing mold. The contract specifically says they remove the rotten wood! I've called three days in a row - no response. The (rude) receptionist finally picked up and told me there would be a fee to come out. I specifically asked Jake about the inspections before we signed the contract; he told me not to worry about it, ""their roofs are reliable"". This company is fraudulent and unethical. I'm truly disappointed I ever gave them a shot.

The skylight in my unit had very bad leaking right after replacement by SBR roofing.
The crew came to repair that issue
However, after latest rainfall I still had a small leak from the same spot of the skylight
Besides that it did cause some damage to the area underneath the skylight (please see attached pictures)
SBR roofing co representative Dan Cahill have refused to do repairs to correct damage they cause by unprofessional job of his company.
Stay away from this Mickey mouse roofers!

WATCH OUT! COMPLETE CROOKS! We had SBR come out to do an estimate on a leaking roof on April 22nd. Two guys showed up, whom I spoke with and showed the damage. They went on the roof to take pictures, as well as take pictures underneath the balcony where the roof was leaking. While they took pictures, they seemed to be pulling back some of the shingles to take further pictures, or poke around. I verified twice with the men that they were only doing an estimate. I was told that the balcony needed to have the shingles removed, and a different type of roof installed over that area. When they left, I asked when an estimate would be sent over, and they stated that their boss would be in contact within the week, after he viewed the pictures. I called a week later, after not receiving the estimate. I never heard from them again, until we received a $500 bill for REPAIR. That's right, A BILL for REPAIR! We never hired SBR, never saw an estimate, never signed a work order, or agreed to anything! What a bunch of crooks. When I called to dispute the fraudulent invoice, I was told that in order to save money for potential clients, they just go ahead and do repairs without permission, if they are under $500. WOW!!! And further, they didn't repair anything. According to the fraudulent invoice, they added some mastic glue, and re-nailed in a sagging gutter! Again, this is after I was verbally told that the fix was to remove the existing shingles, and install a different type of roof for the low slope on the balcony... which would be discussed in an estimate sent by their boss. After all that, at the bottom of their fraudulent invoice, it states ""At your request we can prepare an estimate for this work."" Wow, wow, wow. We are reporting them to the California State Attorney General, the FTC, and filing a complaint with the BBB. STEER CLEAR!! I'm shocked that a company thinks they can get away with this sort of blatant, deceptive behavior.

***Update, in response to the owner's comment.
Gary, that's a lie, and we both know it. 61% of your reviews on yelp are 1 star. That should speak volumes. Nobody hired you. I was the person who called and had you come out for an estimate. Your estimate magically turned into an approved, and then completed work order, cleared by the building owner, whom you nor your workers didn't have a phone number for... all under an hour?? Gee, that's pretty strange. Go lie to the office of the Attorney General when they contact you. Rest assured, I will keep hammering you until you cough up the truth, and rescind your bogus invoice. You got the wrong guy.

This roofing company did a fabulous job on my commercial flat top roof with six skylights. The roof has several intrusions from air conditioners, heaters, etc. It was so wonderful to have a big rain and not have rivers coming into the building. The roofers were kind and professional. Dan was the person who evaluated the work to be done. He did a thorough work up on paper (so there were no surprises). I can't give enough thanks to this company for doing such a wonderful job!

Avoid at all cost. This company takes advantage of businesses and the workers are really unprofessional, careless, and slow. They lack customer service and professionalism. They are also messy which can be a liability. Will never hire them again.
