I believe his roof work could be great but I would not recommend Santiago roofing to anyone because of his 'he's important than anyone else'. His exact words as a response to waiting for 10 min is ""I wasted an hour of my day"". ""I am a busy guy and can't wait around while you do whatever. Good luck finding someone else""

At first, he said he would come one Tue afternoon. Didn't show up; didn't follow up. He is very busy. I kept following up. We finally made an appointment for another Thur between 10 and 11. He didn't show up nor contact me at all. I followed up with him at 11:16 very kindly. We rescheduled to 12-12:30. I walked to the gate for my delivery at 12:17 but didn't bring my phone with me and went back to the house for the restroom. When I reached my phone I saw missed messages and calls from him. I called and texted and apologized immediately and ran to the gate. On the phone I said literally ""I am sorry. I am at the gate."" He said, ""I waited. I am done!"" and then hung up on me. I texted to apologize that I didn't have my phone for 5 min. His text back was ""I waited 15 min+ min, not 5 min. I'm a busy guy and can't wait around while you do whatever. Good luck finding someone else."" I double checked all the time stamps for our communication. It was 10 min. I feel very petty now that I'm writing this review. Yes it was my fault I didn't have my phone for 10 min. But I don't deserve his abusive attitude and language. I wouldn't want any service from someone like him.

He made me feel he's an abusive boss. I need to be at my phone any second - otherwise I'm fired. But he can ignore me, not show up because he's a very busy man.

Santiago Roofing was great! We had two leaks in our roof and in one day they replaced 40 roof tiles and now we have no leaks. Also, their price was very competitive. We highly recommend them!

Steve and his crew did a great job on our new roof. Our property was kept clean though the process and the quality was what we expected. I have already recommended them to my neighbor! I have another property that needs a new roof and will use Santiago Roofing.

Though the roof was replaced years ago.. the damage uncovered recently was do to poor workmanship.
Drip flashing was not properly installed, water penetrated and saturating the backside of fascia, causing paint to peel off front and backside.
I don't care how old project is water should not have penetrated like that.
In over 35 yrs of experience, I've never seen this... I've worked on old victorians and craftman style homes.. never ever..
Steve angrily walked off and told me to take him to court.

Really like this company. I thought Steve was very trustworthy. He worked quickly and when our roof leaked after his first repair on an addition, he was at our house within 30 minutes retarping it in the pouring rain. He fixed it quickly and added extra reinforcement for no extra cost. Will definitely use them when I need to reroof the rest of the house.

Steve and his crew did a great job on our roof!! Looks better than we had hoped for! :) We had the original 65 year old wood shake roof covered by composition so needed a complete tear off with plywood installed. We paid a little more for thicker shingles and really feel that made the difference in the look of it. We also had a flat roof that they put torch down on. Finished it a few days after Christmas, we had a rain storm and all looks good! Steve is a very nice man also :)

Like most homeowner's, sooner or later, I faced the prospect of having my entire roof replaced on a 2 story (3,000Sq feet of roofing) home. Like most, I checked the Internet, attempted to educate myself; Very stressful and time consuming.
My neighbor owns apartment buildings and recommended Santiago Roofing. I called 3 contractors, who all came out and gave me a bid.
Then I called the owner of Santiago Roofing Contractors, Steve Eliason, for an estimate. He arrived, on time, evaluated my 50 year old wood shake roof, gave me an estimate and answered all of my questions. Because there was no plywood beneath the shake, the replacement would be more time consuming and expensive. Also, there was a lot of rotted wood that needed to be replaced. Steve's price was the best, in some cases by a lot. 4 days later he came out with his crew and began the job. His workers came out each day, on time, and put in a full days work. They were respectful and professional. I called Steve a couple of times with questions. He was always available and returned my calls promptly. The job was done in 5 days meeting Steve's original estimated timeframe. I could not be happier. Who would have thought replacing a roof would be a Pleasant experience? Thanks Steve, I recommend your company, Santiago Roofing Contractors, to anyone who needs roof repairs or a complete replacement. Great job.

I had heard excellent reviews about this company, but was disappointed when I called and left a voicemail after hours and never received a call back. I had to call back the next morning to speak with someone. Their response was ""Oh yeah, I got your message , but we are booked til Christmas. Sorry can't help you."" Literally - the exact words. I Totally understand that, just getting a call back stating that would have been nice. That's all. Rude.

I dreaded this roofing project but as soon as I met Steve it got easy. I knew exactly what I was getting with the information he provided. On top of that he had the best price. ( I talked to 4 roofers before him) The job went as planned and I was always able to reach him. I love my cool roof. Thank You Steve.
