Called to get a quote on a roof repair for a client of mine. I have a flyer that advertises same day service as well as ""giving realtors our highest priority"". He said he could be there the next day which was okay. But He wanted another bid before he came out there so he could explain to me why it was no good. When I asked just for an estimate he refused. Not sure why but he did comment that the house was ""way up there in Vista"" so I can only guess he didn't want to drive all the way up to Vista.

The big thick shake shingle roof was there favorite part of the houses exterior.
Thx to Mitch and his crew the roof has only been replaced once in 60 years.
They treat and patch it and it is still,
one of the prettiest roofs around!
A Raccoon made a very big hole in it. I called Mitch, he New exactly what happened and he and his artist repairman patched it the next day.

I am really torn on what to write about Mitch and his business. Pricing is excellent, and Mitch is a positive and caring business owner. However, he isn't the one doing the work typically, and the quality of his crew can vary widely. We had a roof put on by a crew that apparently didn't know what they were doing. After a rain, we sustained heavy interior damage. He sent back the same crew to fix it, and sustained interior damage AGAIN after having the same issues. Luckily, I hadn't paid him in full yet, which may have kept him motivated. To make a long story short, Mitch ended up tearing off the roof and replacing it with a different crew. To his credit, he stood behind the work and deducted the damages off the bill, however this kind of stress was not what I needed and I would never in a million years go through that again. If you use him I would recommend not paying him until you KNOW the roof is water proof.

As the last poster commented, this company just wants to install the roof coverings in their own way. Granted that their advertised price on Craigslist is rock bottom, but the homeowner would have to deal with the roof tear-off and the materials supplier. And when I started to define the details of the installation work, Mitch stopped answering my emails and phone calls altogether with no explanation. Unprofessional behavior, to say the least.

Mitch and his foreman, Jim and his workers, are professional, friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and always ready to answer questions. Mitch spent a great deal of time making sure he understood my needs, and gave me the addresses of several houses in my neighborhood so that I could see the quality of his work, which is outstanding. All of the people for whom he had done shingle restorations and roofing sang his praises, so I felt confident in my decision. Frankly, I wanted to hire Mitch months ago, but I am going back to college, and have been helping my elderly and ill mother. So finances prevented me from giving Mitch the job sooner. Yet he still patched a large hole in my roof for free right before a big rain, asking only that I consider hiring him when I did have the money.

When finances permitted, I was happy to do so. Mitch worked with me to restore the front half of my wood shingle roof, which now looks like new. He shimmed it, replaced all worn shingles, then stained the new shingles to match the old. At the end, he oiled it with a preservative and fire retardant.
Mitch also replaced the back half of my roof with asphalt shingles, as the sun is just too intense there for a wood shingles. Mitch and his crew made sure that the restoration and new roof look great, and that neither clashes with the other. In addition, Mitch gave me a fifteen year warranty on the restoration and a thirty year warranty on the new. I had several roofers make bids to restore this roof, and not one offered a warranty their shingle conservation work.

Each day the men started on time, respecting our neighborhood CCNRs about not starting construction before 9 am. Because there was rain due this week, they worked very hard to finish the job, putting in long hours. Each day they also cleaned up my drive way --the major site of material loading and dumping--so that everything looked neat.
In addition, Mitch did a remediation of termite damaged wood, replacing what needed replacing, and patching the rest. He saved me thousands over other companies that do this same sort of work, and did a great job. He does not do actual termite treatments, but it actually paid me to have him do this woodwork, and I used Bill Evans, of Termite Advisors, to do the treatment. Bill also did a great job and I will review him next. Both men coordinated their work, and did so without any resentment or undercutting.

Finally, Mitch came over during my VA home inspection for a refinance, and explained his work to the inspector. She said that this really helped, and complimented Mitch on his work. My home passed the inspection with flying colors. Who could ask for more? Frankly, I thank my lucky stars that I hired Roof Savers. I am recommending them to all of my friends and neighbors.
It has now been almost seven months since the work was done (sorry about taking so long to write this review, Mitch ) and I can say that the roof has performed beautifully through some heavy storms. Thanks again, Mitch!

You could look far and wide up and down all around EVERYWHERE and not find a more HONEST and talented roofer in this city!
He guarantees his work and it's a REAL GUARANTEE!!!!! He's reachable instantaneously and will be out to repair your roof no matter WHAT the problem. I've done a complete shake shingle refurbishment and the man is unbelievable!!! He's been repairing my roof for YEARS and he is the most polite and responsible guy you'd ever want to meet!!

FANTASTIC JOB! For me, within hours after I placed my first call for ""free estimate"", Mitch and one of his installers, Tim, were on my roof! His price was so reasonable, I loved his honesty, referrals given to see their work, shingle choices and quality of materials. The job was started within days, by polite, diligent and prompt installers--with Mitch's personal touch each day to answer any questions I had. My yard was kept neat throughout the process. Mitch and crew did a complete and timely job. My roof has never looked so good! (Ps--I am hiring them to do my second property)

Mitch and his crew are the best guys to do your roofing job small or big. He will make sure his crew will not leave you until you are satisfied. His price are very competitive and my roof looks great now. He helped me out after a some contractors misrepresented themselves to me. After that bad experience I had several estimates done, Mitch distinguished himself by not only his price but also his genuinely kind person. He will advise you on your decision if you need to, he is real pro. It is not all about a quick job, it is about a long term relationship. I am definitively recommending his Co. and hope to work with Mitch again in the future as I have other rental properties.
