Had a roof leak after a rainy day on Thursday , saw Samson on Friday and everything got fixed by the end of Sunday, right before Monday's rain. If you want fast, reliable and professional service, Samson is the man!
I would definitely recommend!

Our Association contacted this company to replace the underlayment on a tile roof that was leaking in our community. We were looking for a new roofer to handle our entire communities roofing needs. The company responded rapidly, gave us a solid bid and promised the work would begin the following week as they were finishing up another job in the area. This was important because the interior of the home was suffering significant damage from the water leaks and the work needed to be done soon or a tarp needed to be placed. I specifically mentioned that he would need to tarp the unit if there were delays; they readily agreed.

After the contract was signed I began having doubts due communication issues on there end and delays with simple verification of insurance and licensing. They went radio silent and it took days to secure this simple paperwork. Then, allegedly, the city delayed issuing a permit. I say allegedly because the city disputes that there were any delays in issuing a permit. When these delays continued for several weeks I became concerned about rain damage to the interior but was assured they could tarp if necessary.

I felt I had to chase them, and follow up with them on the job process, which is concerning. Yesterday, when rain seemed imminent I asked when the tarp would go up to protect the interior. The project manager went radio silent, and Samson also ignored inquiries. Finally, I received a cryptic message last night that the Roofing foreman had died from Covid; the job was cancelled. This was followed less then a minute later with a demand for $463 bucks for the cost of the permit which they claimed was not refundable. They seemed far more concerned about the $463 then the alleged passing of an employee.

I learned that the permit could be cancelled, and they would receive an eighty percent refund from the city. I also believe that their negligence in not tarping the unit earlier, when aware that it was damaging the interior; while claiming the city was delaying things was the actual reasoning for cancelling the job. Due to the poor planning and incompetence of the company they were in a position late on Tuesday evening to incur significant costs to tarp the unit before the rains hit on Wednesday afternoon. They were faced with either walking away from the job, perhaps using the excuse of an employee passing or shelling out a lot of money to pay a few of their workers to come tarp the unit.

We were later forced to pay another roofer for his four employees to come and tarp the roof, which took half the day. This cost us $1000 so it became obvious that Samson was willing to burn a bridge, walk away from a job rather than incur the cost of doing the right thing and tarping the roof. In the end you need to avoid Samson. His roofing license is relatively new, from 2018 which contradicts his claim of being in roofing for decades. He does have a General Contractor license from 1995, but that does not mean he has years of roofing experience.

In the end, the only tragedy here is the passing of one of his employees; if this tragedy occurred I have sympathy of the man's family.

Samson came out for an estimate, assessed the roof and let me know we had approximately 5 years left on the current roof. Didn't try to sell me like the other companies did! Love that type of honest business practice. If you think you need a new roof, you should call Samson

What a pleasure it's been working with Tom, to get my roof repaired. He came out to do an assessment, and thoroughly explained what the problem was, and possible solutions. He worked with my schedule, and made sure to get the work done in a timely manner. The guys who came out to repair the roof, were knowledgeable, and equally as helpful in explaining what they needed to do, and made recommendations for keeping my roof in good repair. Thank you for the great work, and friendly helpful service.

Okay, we are back on business, Samson took care of everything and almost a year later, we are good. I also referred him to my friend who did a roof and was so happy he referred another friend, so give Samson a shot, he is AOK

SAMSON ROOFING was the fifth roofer I consulted about replacing my 19-year-old flat roof. What impressed me most about Samson is that where other roofers saw problems, he saw solutions. My separate garage had an odd-shaped metal roof that was starting to rust through. Other roofers wouldn't touch it. But Samson just treated the garage like the rest of the roof, and got it all done at once. On top of that, the other roofers wanted me to hire a solar company to remove & replace my panels. Samson instead lifted the panels in place, installed the roof under, and sealed them back perfectly. His workers were professional (in summer heat), and cleaned up well. And his pricing was competitive. I can't ask for more than that.

Honest, fast, quality work. Not much more you can ask for in a contractor. Very easy to work with and his crew did a fantastic job.

Very nice folks. They did a free estimate and were very personable and professional. I ultimately went with someone else because, a better estimate but get an estimate from Samson Roofing too. They may be perfect for you.

We called 4 different roofing companies that had good reviews on Yelp and Samson was one of the 2 companies that picked up the phone.

When we called, Samson picked up the call himself! It can go either way though, right? We scheduled for him to come check out our roof in a few days. He showed up on time at the door with a younger assistant. To keep everyone safe, they entered through the back and the whole appointment was done outdoors. He was efficient and gave us a good quotation.

From when we decided to go with Samson Roofing to when his crew completed the project, it was less than a week. The crew was efficient and they cleaned up well every day before they leave. We really appreciated that. They did a deeper clean on the very last day before taking off. Samson came the next day to pick up the check and schedule for the inspection.

Inspection was also super easy. The guy who came was super respectful because of Covid. He walked into our place and saw that the smoke detectors were intact, gave some advice and politely walked out. He was in our house for maybe 5 minutes tops and when he approached the door, he actually took a step back and let us open the door (contactless yay!) - which we really appreciate.

We had considered installing solar panels after the roof and Samson reminded us of the tax credits we will be able to get if we do it by the end of the year, but he wasn't pushing for us to have it done asap. In fact, he even told us to go back and check our bills to see if it actually makes sense to do it. And we didn't end up doing it. He was totally cool about it.

Samson is the kind of business owner who really cares for his customers. Many times he's over, he takes calls from new customers or old clients referring neighbors to him and he is always thankful and kind.

Would definitely recommend him for roofing!
