We were very happy with the job Jim did for us on our motorhome roof. He explained everything and kept us in the loop all the way through. He replaced our awning material as well. After reading the reviews, I recommend you go directly to his web site. It clearly tells what he can and can't do. The five stars are for the website, which saved me from calling.

We have a problem with our hydraulic system and his excellent web site that told me immediately he didn't do hydraulic system. HOWEVER, the next time we have a problem (and RVs do have problems, you know) we'll be sure to look and see if Jim can handle it.

I don't look forward to another repair but if his site says he can fix it, I'll call him first.

Solid Business. Solid work. Solid Guy. I have a 1989 Bounder motorhome with a nightmare of a roof leak. I tried and tried to fix it with no luck. Called around a few places and was getting insane price quotes for a roof replacement. It's a hard decision to make when it comes to replacing the whole roof an an old motorhome. After talking to Jim we felt more comfortable replacing it. He gave us a no BS price quote that was far cheaper than his competitors and guarantee no surprise charges.
So we had Jim put a new roof on, and even had him replace the awning fabric. He did a fantastic job and feel extremely relieved now every time it rains knowing I don't have a waterfall inside the Moho.
I'll definitely recommend him and use him in the future for things I can't tackle myself.

There are so many good things to say about this business! Jim saved the day for us!!! We live in a small trailer and needed a new fridge installed. Jim took out, and properly disposed of, our old fridge. It was a huge job and very difficult to get through the door, But Jim did it all by himself! Then he was kind enough to pick out our new fridge with us at Home Depot. We have no truck of our own so Jim did the transporting and all ( And I do mean ALL) the heavy lifting. Our new fridge was nicer and much bigger than the old one so Jim had to widen the space for it. He then MADE IT FIT in that space all by himself! I kid you not, this man has expert experience and know-how and is a great guy to boot! We have called him since and plan to call only him for work on our trailer from now on!!!

It can take a little time to get in touch with Jim because he's pretty busy (tip: try calling on a weekday rather than Saturday), but once we were able to get an appointment set up, he was there when he said he would be there, and got the work done quickly and well, and educated me about what he was doing and why. It's not a bad thing that he's busy, though. There's a reason for his popularity: he's good at what he does :-)

My RV problem: during a thunderstorm on the road in Wyoming this summer, I heard a loud bang, pulled over, and adjusted my mirror upward to look towards the top of my motorhome, where I saw my driver's side slide-out topper flapping in the wind. It stayed kind of loose and wrinkled and flappy for the rest of the trip, and I noticed there was a piece that seemed to be missing (the other side had one).

Thanks to Jim, I now know that thing is called an anti-billowing device, designed to limit rotation of the slide-out topper in the wind to one revolution before it contacts the side of the coach and stops. Mine apparently hit the side of the coach and came off, allowing the topper to unwind some more and develop slack. He got my topper re-wound tightly and had an anti-billowing device in his truck, so I'm road-ready again and educated about what to do and what part to get if this should happen again on the road. Best of all, I didn't have to drive my motorhome to a service facility to have it fixed.

If I need any other repairs in the future, I'll definitely call call RV Expert Mobile Service for anything they do (which isn't everything; they specialize. See their website for details).

Jim came out to my house and replaced the awning fabric on our trailer. Gave a good solid price and honored it. Unlike some of the other mobile services who charged a service call fee and then an hourly rate. Very nice person and good work. I am definitely using him in the future.

Jim Hargrove, of RV Expert is the best! If you want SUPERIOR work quality, integrity, and honesty at the convenience of getting the job done at your house vs, driving dropping off and picking up use RV Expert. I am a perfectionist and had problems with mobile rv companies in SD that do not meet my high standards, let alone the industry standards. But Jim not only mets industry standards, but he far exceeds my expectations with his superior workmanship, each and every single time I have used him. He is honest and will not do just any a job to make money he will take the job loss and refer you to another person. I won`t use any other mobile rv repair company in SD but RV Expert. And only will use a rv licensed company if Jim Hargrove won't do the type of work I want done. RV Expert did a new rubber roof installation several years ago and I have not had any problems. My RV is stored uncovered in the desert and we have had El Nino and my roof did not leak a drop. Jim Hargrove is ethical and trustworthy. I wanted a new propane water heater, mine was 15 years old and pain to light. RV Expert, Jim came out, and convinced me not to get a new water heater yet and cleaned it, and it is still working like new today. When my water heater does need to be replaced, I will have RV Expert install a new water heater not only because Jim Hargrove saved me $600 but also because if I have any problems in CA, I know that he will go to whatever campground I'm at and help me out in any emergency. RV Expert installed a new high rise faucet in my bathroom as I was sick of the original short style faucet, that my husband can barely wash his hands with and gets the whole counter wet. When I told Jim that my refrigerator works on electric but not with propane he checked it found wasp nests, removed it and it starts faster that it ever did before. He won't have me wait for another visit to charge another trip fee, but it will make him late for other appointments, but if he finds a problem with your rv he will do the same for you. If your main goal is having appointment start on time use another place, but if you want superior work quality, integrity and honesty use RV Expert.

Called Jim on Saturday from silver strand because our awning broke. He had the fabric in stock and was at our camp site in no time. Gave us quick, GREAT service!!!
