Ruiz Roofing did a great job on a new roof to my house and garage. Oscar and his crew are professional, courteous and know their craft. I would recommend them. They removed the old roof, which was at least 25 years old, and installed a new awesome roof.

In September 2017, Ruiz Roofing replaced the roof of an apartment building I own in Burbank. I selected them mainly because a co-worker of mine recommended them. But if my co-worker hadn't recommended them, and if I had known about the company, I would've still have hired them not only because their quote was lower than the other two I had, but most importantly because of the professionalism I detected in Oscar Ruiz while he was doing the measurements of the roof and calculations for the quote. I'm 71 years old. That's a lot of time to observe body languages and learn to judge character. Of the other two quotes I had, one was very high and included in the specs of the job the installation of plywood. The installation of plywood was not necessary, as the old roof already had plywood on and in good condition. The other one of the two quotes was given to me by a company whose estimator didn't climb on the roof, and judged the dimensions of the roof and the work required from the ground. I have experience dealing with contractors. An estimator who gives a quote without looking carefully at the job to be done will either overcharge to be covered for a worst case scenario, or while doing the work will cut corners to still make a profit after finding that the job required more than what had been estimated. I disregarded this company right away.
The quote from Ruiz Roofing was the lowest of the three I had, and it seemed competitive to me. But price is not the only aspect to consider. Low price that means low quality doesn't make any sense.
I'm writing this review about Ruiz Roofing because I'm very, very happy with the work they did. The quality of the work they did on my property was exceptional. Not only they used good quality materials but also their craftsmanship is very high. The appearance of the completed roof is great. The roof on my property turned out very appealing.
In fact, I was so satisfied with the roofing job they did a year ago on that apartment building (3860 sq ft four-unit building), that I had Ruiz Roofing replace the roof on another apartment building (4,000 sq ft five-unit building) I own also in Burbank. The roof on this second building was still in good shape, it could've lasted a few more years. But I know that good contractors are not easy to come by. I wanted Ruiz Roofing to do the roof on this new building before I would lose their contact. They did this second roof starting on August 30, 2018, and finished it yesterday September 7, 2018. I paid the bill today. Again, this second roof turned out superb. Beautiful job, good looking roof and of high quality.
