Let me start off by sayin RSI installed a roof that hasnt leaked over the past 5 years, so to that point, they were competent. I don't have any reason to believe they installed anything but a good roof.

RSI installed my roof as well as the roof over my industrial garage. While working on the garage, the banging caused at least 10 pieces of fiberglass insulation to come loose and fall. I asked if they could replace those and was told that wasnt within the scope of their work. The ceiling is 12 feet high, so i ended up having to hire a handyman with a 15' ladder to staple them back on.

The industrial garage required tar. RSI parked the hot tar mixer outside my front door and the tar smell and smoke for 2 days was overwhelming. I didnt receive any warning about this and the workers said they wouldnt be able to relocate it anywhere else. I couldnt be home 9-5pm for 2 straight days with no warning.

Near the end of the job, RSI hung a banner over the side of my roof without my permission. They anchored it to cinder blocks they left on top of the roof, but also tied free hanging cinder blocks to the bottom to weigh it down. The wind blew the sign over the next week and the dangling cinder blocks banged up against the side of my building. After complaining, RSI immediately took the sign down and cleaned the wall, removing 90% of the marks made by the dangling blocks, but I was still unhappy this occured.

I've have used RSI on three separate occasions to repair tile roof damage.

Each time the work was done on time, and for the agreed price. Quick, professional, no up selling. Fair pricing.

I would never use this company again.

Horrible communication and one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I was thoroughly frustrated with how they operate.
This is one reason I alway shy away from using bigger companies. I would much rather speak with the person doing the work rather than have to coordinate between three of there managers to get one simple answer

What matters here is that I called and left a message for the owner of RSI and asked him to call back. He never did. To not call me back or have ANYONE at RSI call back a dissatisfied customer is simply unacceptable. At the very least, that's extremely poor customer service. I can only imagine what would happen if I had hired RSI to do my solar and ever had a serious problem. Then to defend the review on Yelp that I ""never did business"" with the company in an attempt to discredit me? Come on. The fact is, RJ Baca is the head of your solar business and he lied to me - telling me that it would be TWO months before someone could come out and give me an estimate for home solar with RSI because he knew I also had an issue with his pool solar install/equipment. TWO MONTHS!! Lastly, after I posted this review, he emailed me and promised he would refund me $500 for the defective pool solar he installed. That never happened, even after follow up emails, texts, phone calls. Is this a company and a solar guy you want to trust? Good luck!

Called RSI Roofing to address a recurring leak on the flat portion of our roof, which only occurred after heavy rainfall. Mitch from RSI Roofing was very professional and courteous during our first meeting. He took the time to describe the current condition of the roof, as well as explain the few repairs required to the roof edge material. In a matter of a day or so, we had an agreed-upon service date planned for the following week. The cost estimate for the repairs was reasonable: not cheap, but not expensive.

Mitch's crew completed the repairs in a few hours' time, and now we will have to wait for the next big rain fall in San Diego to determine whether the leak issue has been entirely resolved. I trust that it has been remedied.

I know about RSI Roofing & Solar because the Company I work for and RSI are a part of the same commercial networking organization BOMA San Diego. When I needed a new roof for my house, I looked to this network to find out if any of the member companies did residential reroofing and was happy when I found out that they worked on homes too.

Melanie (VP of Marketing and Business Development) assigned Jess (Project Manager) to my account. Jess was very professional, working with us and our time schedule, offering us good advice, explained roofing terminology, kept up good communication after we signed the Agreement and during our project, and ran a good crew too. They finished the job ahead of schedule and luckily just before it rained again. The onsite crew also cleaned up the site well at the end of each day.

My wife and I recently bought an old craftsman style house that needed some upgrades. Of all the various trades we hired, RSI Roofing has been the easiest to deal with. We had new rain gutters and downspouts installed, as well as structural bracing for the exposed rafter tails. Their prices are fair, their communication is great, and their quality of work is top notch. I will definitely use RSI for our future roofing needs!

RSI recently completed a re-roofing job for us and we were very pleased with the results.

I know this was a small job for them, as most of their business is larger structures but we still felt valued as a customer.

They are very good at communicating and we knew what to expect each day. The initial estimate was very detailed and exceptional, including pictures and what we needed to do in advance of the job. All costs were explained and there were no surprises at the end of the job. We knew we had wood damage that was not included in the initial estimate. We were informed of these extra costs when they became available and we even received a small refund when they didn't use as much wood as expected.

RSI is a great company and we highly recommend them.

RSI recently re-roofed two industrial buildings for me and replaced the old asphalt roofs with new TPO product. The workmanship was excellent and the customer service from the PM was great. They were happy to answer all questions whether about installation or the contract. I walked the roofs everyday checking on progress and the foreman was happy to spend time with me walking the job. Prior to using RSI to re-roof these two buildings they had performed countless repairs on other roofs for me and always with the same professionalism and workmanship. I have been very impressed with RSI and definitely recommend them for your roofing needs.
