RUN AWAY! What a disaster! RSH came and inspected our home on July 10, 2024 at 12:30. Steve was friendly and professional. Our house is in pristine condition and Steve said he could find nothing the matter with it. A few days ago (five weeks later) I found out our homeowner's insurance has issued a cancellation order because the inspection was never submitted to them. Our mortgage company will slap on ridiculously expensive homeowner's insurance and charge us for that policy. We really need that inspection submitted to the insurance company, but RSH won't answer their phone, even though I call several times every day. I suggest you go with a different company that follows through with their inspections.

One of the best decisions , I made in 2023 was to approach Realtor Mathew Joseph for my home buying. He assisted me in the purchase of our new home. Mr. Mathew being a sharp negotiator and with his interpersonal skills helped me save $$$$ during the negotiation process.
Mr. Mathew's expertise in Engineering, Construction and Building code was an added bonus for me. The home inspection and the follow up done by RSH Engineering helped me to get the home in good shape before our move in. This assured me that my family was moving in to a SAFE HOUSE.
After we moved in, there were few issues which showed up. Mr. Mathew responded for my calls and provided solutions for all these issues and stood by me at all times. Attaching few repairs and fixes under his supervision.
As this was our first home purchase, every interaction with RSH was a source of great learning on home purchase. Thank you for every assistance and support.
I sincerely recommend Mr. Mathew and RSH Engineering, if you expect a trustworthy friend to stand by your side in your next home purchase.
Thank you.

We have used RSH Engineering twice, in 2002 and 2020. BOTH times they were able to point out serious issues that the builder overlooked and both times their findings saved us thousands of dollars. Both builders responded to their findings and made the repairs. Don't let that End of Builder Warranty expire without calling these guys first. You'll be glad you did! TWO THUMBS UP!! Below is the framing left out of the initial attic build. Are you kidding me?? Thanks again for diagnosing RSH!

We've hired Mathew from RSH Engineering to inspect several homes for us over the past 15 years. In that time, we hired one other home inspection contractor because we decided to buy an investment property on such short notice that Mathew could not get to it in the time we had to have it done due to the other jobs he already had scheduled. There was no comparison in the results of the inspections -- RSH Engineering does the most professional job and produces the most comprehensive inspection reports I've ever seen. And RSH Engineering always delivers their reports when they say they will. They are also flexible on how soon they will deliver their reports based on your need. We built a house a year ago and had RSH Engineering do two inspections for us -- one before final delivery of the completed house, and then one just before the one year warranty deadline. There is no doubt that these inspections saved us thousands of dollars and untold headaches in the future due to the defects they found. The biggest mistake I made was failing to schedule a series of inspections by RSH Engineering during the course of our home construction. That would have saved me a ton of headaches having to keep on top of the builder myself, and would have resulted in even better quality of build because RSH would have found defects during construction that no one could see after the home was built. I learned about RSH Engineering's continuous inspection process throughout construction about 15 years ago when they did the first inspection for us, but I simply forgot about it until our new house was ready for final inspection. When I told the builder who was doing the final inspection, he told me he's glad I didn't have RSH Engineering do the in-process construction inspections because having RSH Engineering looking over his shoulder during construction makes his job harder. That's when I remembered that service and realized I screwed up by forgetting about it. The most reliable way to communicate with RSH Engineering seems to be by email first and by text messaging second. (It's probably best to reach out to them by both methods if you are in a time crunch.) It seems to take them a little longer to call you back if you leave a voice mail message. In summary, based on the work they have done for us over the years, I cannot recommend RSH Engineering more highly. I would never use another inspection company so long as I have the option of hiring RSH Engineering do the work. It is money well spent. And over the past 15 years, I never had any inkling that RSH Engineering was trying to upsell us on any construction, repair, or remodeling prior to, during, or after any of our inspections. (I'm just an ordinary repeat customer -- otherwise, I have no association with RSH Engineering and received no compensation for this very positive review.)

Mathew and his team came to us highly recommended from a colleague of mine. They walked us through every phase of the building process and gave us an excellent understanding of what to watch out for during each step. His thorough analysis and professional approach kept our builder honest throughout the entire building process and gave us the peace of mind that we were getting the best house built for our family.
Thank you Mathew for everything you've done!
Regards,
Brian

Matthew did a great job with the engineering of our house remodel. He wrote a very detailed report and walked through with the contractors at each inspection to ensure they knew what needed to be done. We were grateful to have RSH engineering a part of the team. We highly recommend them.

Our family hired RSH Engineering to inspect our home as it was being built. Since Mathew (President of RSH) is licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) by the state of Texas, he was able to make structural recommendations on our home. There were many changes and updates made to our home after Mathew came in. He was very professional and communicated with us every step of the way to make sure we understood why each change needed to be made. He even met with the builder to walk them through all the defects that needed to be fixed, and they fixed every last one. I'm happy to recommend RSH Engineering as a contractor and inspector.

I always fill great after getting a full report and I am able to show each party how he is trying to show a fit to each problem he is able to find. He offers a nice written report in a timely manner.

Mathew did an outstanding job on my new home inspection. He found several minor issues I had overlooked, and a couple more important issues I didn't know to look for. He explained everything he was looking at as he went along, and as an issue arose took the time to explain it and what the repercussions of it where. Mathew had his full report submitted to me within 24 hours. Working in the new home field myself, and dealing with P.E.'s for several years, Mathew is one of the best I have come across. I would definitely recommend him to anyone purchasing a home.

Mathew did a wonderful job on the framing inspection and then the mechanical inspection. He identified several critical defects which the builder decided to fix and this will ensure the structural integrity of the house.
