Royal Roofing has been licensed since 1982 serving the regions of Los Angeles and Orange. Excellence is our baseline; we are among the oldest licensed roofing professionals in the SoCal region. The Pinkus family, led by Steve and Stephanie along with licensee Reg ""Reggie"" Wills have created a family-oriented business environment by being actively involved and available to both clients and staff.
Over the past 38 years, Royal Roofing has seen significant growth with a growing list of clients, an enlarged service department, additional staff, and a bigger fleet of trucks. Even with these changes, some things have not changed. From the beginning, Royal Roofing has used top-grade materials (no seconds) and we have our own in-house crews that are factory-trained and certified.
Our foremen and crews have decades of experience, with many serving for 20, 25, or over 30 years, and each takes immense pride in their craft. Royal Roofing has consistently kept up with the latest product knowledge and application techniques. Our motto remains, “Service is our specialty”, where follow-through is essential.
Steve launched his sales under the Royal Roofing name back in April 1980.
After nearly four decades, Steve continues to embody the drive and tenacity of his youth.
Together with Stephanie, his wife and VP/CFO for 29 years, they represent a dynamic partnership in the roofing field, committed to guiding newcomers while reflecting on their journey with their long-serving crew and foremen whom they deeply respect.
Steve and Stephanie enjoy giving back to the community through various local schools, churches, temples, and civic groups. Stephanie is a member of National Women In Roofing (NWIR), a group dedicated to mentoring, education, and networking.
Throughout the last 40 years of managing Royal Roofing, they have spent more than 20 years nurturing their son and daughter; actively volunteering with Indian Guides, Girl Scouts, and the PTA, they continue to enjoy time with their adult children who have both graduated from college and are pursuing their careers.

Two years ago in December I had my apartment building re-roofed by Royal. I was promised the job done quickly and waited 6 weeks!
Now two years later I am getting the building repainted and they discovered a large dish was left on the unattached to anything. Thank God it did not fall since a lot of damage could occur! SO unprofessional!!
Andrew P.I'm extremely upset that this company came to my house and apartments and not only destroyed the cable dishes on the roofs of multiple renter's witch now had not services but also destroyed the cameras we had around the apartments and the front house.
How can this company think thats ok? They should respect and take care of small things that are important yet did not care. I saw nothing professional about this company and the crew they brought honestly half the time the crew was pretending to get hurt or fall of the roof after throwing stuff down that made loud a noise.
Yelling and acting like someone fell off the roof.
I do not find that funny or professional and its honestly upsetting not only to me but to the people who rent and live next door.
If your thinking of going with this company I would re think your decision because they play around to much and are totally unprofessional.
I just had royal roofing put on a new roof for one of my rentals in Newport Beach. Steve pinkus, the owner, is one of the nicest, most diligent business owners I have ever come across. His crew is loyal to him, he cares about his work, and is one of the busiest guys I know. He will always take the time to go over my concerns, and still able to return phone calls late at night to go over work schedules for the next day. He's an Amazing guy. and now my good friends. You can't go wrong using royal roofing.
Alex L.1) Here is how you know the roofer is wrong.. 30 tons of roofing materials removed - 60,000 lb. yes Steve your roofers hauled off 60,000 lbs of materials on a commercial strip comprised of 3 small offices totaling less than 4,000 sf. You mentioned it was 20 tons NOW 30 tons? See attach Email. Why keep changing your numbers? Fact #1
2) You said over the phone the drains were covered instead of in the email why? Cause it becomes a he said she said conversation to cover yourself. Didn't i also attach the proof that your worker was working next to the drain with it uncapped. Fact #2
Lastly your claim that we try to save money using a handyman after spending $33,000? That is 0.009%.. Steve we got tired of paying you money that didn't fix anything. I mean who wants to keep paying when the same company can't fix it?
You were the one that said ""we are a for profit company, it cost my employees every trip they come out and we don't do anything free"". Steve your employee upcharged every chance he could get. He pointed at the paraphet covering saying that was the leak and a $3,000 silicone glue will solve it. We paid, and guess what, it STILL LEAKED!
Your roofers came out for free checks.. yes Steve your roofers Pointed at a neighbor property roof that has nothing to do with this! We even had 2 other licensed plumbers say the exact same thing.And every free check claim nothing was fixed and ""these claims kept pointing to wrong items"". Why would we pay for a company to come back and fix nothing?
You do remember that when you don't do the job properly you waste the time of not just your company but mine. I have to be there inspecting and wasting my day. Steve your first chat before anything was resolved was that you pointed I was wrong before you even stepped on our site to look.
Lastly, for all the readers out there. During rainy season, Steve gets a lot of calls, on his phone call with me he mentioned he had at least 50+ calls from existing clients. Now Steve, this leads me to believe there are a lot of people who probably have similar issues... Now furthermore, on one of your emails after the roof completion it stated please give a 5 star review we are offering $25 dollar gift cards. How many of your reviews are paid for through gifts?

Royal Roofing did a wonderful job installing a new roof on my home. Foreman Francisco & his crew were very professional and did a excellent clean up upon completion of the job.
Kim L.Owner Steve was honest and up front about not being able to help me. But, even though Royal Roofing couldn't help with our solar tunnel issue, Steve was very helpful with several recommendations.
They were an amazing ROOFERS that took care of EVERYTHING for us even during the crazy CRAZY rainfall we had experienced during the 21 days process! They CLEANED-UP EVERYDAY. Not a speck of nails, debris, or any roofing materials was left around my property. Now that's what I call service!
We had a situation and the owner solved it for us IMMEDIATELY and went above and beyond to keep this customer happy, satisfied and at peace ?.

His foreman, Guillermo is second to none . I can understand why he's worked for Steve for over 17 yrs. They become your second family. They were both attentive, careful, and extremely patience. They calmed my nerves each time I had to text them countless of times!!! That was many many times. They were responsive and complete professional.
I would give them a ten (10) stars .... or even 100 stars if YELP allowed me to! That's how SUPERIOR these guys were ?
W.E. L.* This morning Royal Roofing (RR) installed a skylight onto my building and this completed our contract. This was part of a 2019 reroofing contract. I've used Royal Roofing a few times over the years for my buildings and they've always done a quality job. I've found that they are not the lowest price nor the highest bid price, but again, they do quality work and they quickly resolve any on-site issues for the mutual benefit of the customer and company.
* On the reroofing job, RR staff went over and beyond in completing the job. Especially Royal Roofing's Gilbert, Hector, and Laura.
* Gilbert and Hector provided outstanding customer service and was very professional in dealing with a very difficult adjacent property renter. They kept their ""cool"" and not once did they lose their tempers at him when he blew up in a burst of anger, which was way out of line. They represented the company and customer in the best light and they are an asset to the RR company. I appreciate RR staff's approach to me, the public, and the neighbors.
* Laura did the follow-up in ordering a new skylight and coordinating getting it installed. She kept me informed whenever I asked for an update. I appreciate her commitment in following up on this lengthy process and getting this completed.
* Part of the success in working with RR is reading the contract, clear communications, and RR staff willing to assist and resolve any unexpected issues.
* I had a good experience with RR and will use them again whenever I need roofing work.
Patricia B.Found this company through the Apartment Owners Association magazine. The estimator (Johnny) was friendly, knowledgeable & thorough. The President (Steve) took the time to answer all my questions so that I could make an informed decision about the needed repairs. Glad that they were able to fit me in before it rained this weekend & especially appreciated the workers' attention to detail + how tidy they left the property upon completion of a patch. Will use again!
Antonio B.On Friday January 10, 2020, I discovered that the flat roof section of my rental had been blown over and folded in half by the heavy winds of the night before. I started calling people that had had recent roof jobs and asked for contact information for the roofers. None of the roofers that I contacted called me back that day so I decided on Saturday morning to look for a roofer on Angie's List. My search for roofers revealed a number of companies in the area, but the one that caught my eye was Royal Roofing in Bell Gardens. The reason they caught my eye was because they have been in business since 1980 and have great customer reviews. Through Angie's List, I decided to contact Royal Roofing. An answering service took my message and within minutes I received a call from Steve Pinkus, president of Royal roofing. Steve took the time to address my concerns and stated that he would do everything possible to help me get the problem resolved before expected rains on Thursday, January 16. Steve was able to get Johnny Bravo, one of their service representatives to come out and inspect my roof that same morning. On the spot Johnny, conducted a video call with Steve and they came up with the best solution to resolve a problem that had not been addressed by the previous roofer. On that same Saturday, within an hour I had a reasonable estimate which included a discount for using Angie's List. After discussing the estimate with my wife, we decided to go ahead and get the job done. Steve had a crew at my rental property first thing Tuesday morning and by Thursday at noon, the job had been completed. The work looks amazing, the workers were professional and clean. Steve kept me updated with photos, calls and text messages every step of the way. Steve, Laura (in the office) and Stephanie Pinkus, the owner, were all so pleasant and brought a family feel to the whole ordeal. The customer service and responsiveness I received from Royal Roofing is very difficult to find nowadays. I will definitely be referring Royal Roofing to friends, family and coworkers. Thank you Steve, Stephanie, Johnny, Laura, Guillermo and the rest of the crew.
