Good job all around. Was very communicative and helpful. I liked that they used modern materials. Job was done quickly and neatly. Crew was organized and respectful.
These guys actually call you back when you leave a message. You will read several reviews on yelp with other contractors that do not. I have had the same experience when interviewing other contractors.

Got a good impression right away when Phil came out to inspect for our quote. He took time talking about the process and what alternatives were available without pushing anything on us. He got back to us fast and there were no problems when we changed our minds back and forth with what we wanted done.

Phil took extra time to drive out to our house one extra time showing us samples and moved things around bringing his team out to work over the weekend to get the roof done before the next expected rain.

The team was very professional and Phil himself was onsite everyday updating us in their progress and available for questions.

They finished on time and even arranged for new gutter to be installed within a day even though we didn't order that from the beginning.

We highly recommend Roofs Roofs Roofs Roofs if you are looking for a good roof contractor.

Roofs Roofs Roofs Roofs definitely has my future business. COMMUNICATION is a big ticket item for me and they definitely kept it. Phil kept in touch despite a busy work schedule (thanks to these passing storms that got us out of the drought), and managed to squeeze our small roof leak we had going. He informed me of all my options and avenues to approach my roof problem. Reasonably priced for their good and timely work. I have them bookmarked in my yelp account.

I genuinely like Phil and all the 4xRoofs workers (Apperently, so does my 80 year old neighbor, who has told me, twice now, that he is very handsome). I've been around the trades for four decades, so I've gotten to see some great work, and some not so great work--Phil has quickly become one of my favorite contractors (definitly my favorite roofer). A few things I really like:

He answers the phone. Not just the first or second time you call, but pretty much anytime you call. And if he doesn't answer, he will call you back.

He's nice, and articulate. If I had to guess what he studied in college, I would say he has an English or Literature degree.

He doesn't make you believe that you house is falling apart. How many times have we all called contractors/roofers and been fed some terrible scenario? One that only they can fix, and one that's going to be expensive. You won't get that with him. You'll get a realistic assessment. Price is subjective, but I liked the price too.

He's a local, and a De La Salle grad, so there is a sense of community pride. His Nephew's grandmother lives really close to us. It was nice to see his nephew getting off of work and walking down the street to hang with his g-ma in Martinez.

The underlayment he uses is fantastic. I looked it up, it's not cheap and it's superior to felt. I did not pay extra for it either. The shingles were really good quality too (I could have spent more, or less, for better or worse shingles).

The price was the price. There were no hidden surprises.

I personally don't care that much about punctuality, or speed, (I'm strictly a quality guy), but I know a lot of people do care. They showed up when they said they were going to show up, they worked hard, and got the job done when they said it would be done. Phil was working too, so if you like an owner that is often onsite during the roofing process, you'll be happy. He was definitly there, working hard, the day they put the new shingles on.

My wife and I talked to about 15 roofers (I pretty much went through the phone book), and we weeded the people we liked down to four bids. Of those bids, Phil was my clear choice. He has not only replaced my roof, but my friends roof as well. My friend was also very happy with the work.


Honestly, Phil's your roofing guy. It's hard to imagine having a better experience. I'm really happy that we found him.

I don't make a habit of tipping contractors, but I believe (as my Italian uncle taught me) if you find a good worker, you treat him or her well. I was more than happy (as I think you will be too) to tip him.

And to my own credit, by the end of the job, I finally got the logo and the name. The dog on the ladder hammering nails (the logo) and the name ""Roofs, Roofs, Roofs, Roofs."" Think woof, woof, woof, woof.

Phil and his team did a great job on some roof repairs and new gutter installation. He was very quick to respond to coming out to inspect my roof/gutters and gave me a reasonable quote. The work was scheduled and done very efficiently and well too. Phil provided photos as well. We really enjoyed working with him and will definitely contact him again for any future roof work!

I could not give Phil and his crew a higher recommendation...From start to finish Phil was professional and transparent. He addressed my concerns every step of the way and whenever I reached out to him he responded within an hour. The workmanship was excellent and his pricing was very competitive as I wanted top line product at a reasonable price. I highly recommend using Phil and Roofs Roofs Roofs Roofs! He was honest, easy to talk to, and our roof looks beautiful! The price was very reasonable. The flashing on the roof to wall intersections and on the chimney looks perfect. Phil and his team also installed gutters and were so flexible with my last minute emails and style changes. When the roof was finished it was quite a bit lighter than I was expecting and I was a little worried. Instead of being defensive, Phil was SO understanding and took all of my feedback and was very appreciative. I've really grown to love the color and am happy with our decision and with Phil's work. We plan on having Phil and 4Roofs do the insulation in the attic too once we finish electrical and plumbing!

Phil, did an outstanding job for our roof. He listened to our concerns and helped us work through the color, design, gutter, and insulation needs. We wound up going with a cool roof and added extra foam board insulation in areas that needed it. We also asked for some trim replacement and he helped us correct some roof drainage issues as well. We paid a little extra for some of that customization but to our surprise it did not add too much to the cost.. We always ask a ton of questions of our contractors and Phil was very patient and gave us a fast honest response. We wish all contractors were as good communicators as they were.

What can I say Roofs Roofs Roofs Roofs was recommended to me through a friends as I live in SF. My mom is in the East and reached out to have a roof done. I contacted Phil about coming out to my moms house in Livermore. Not only was he professional but he drove to Livermore on a Saturday for an estimate, above and beyond. Although I have yet to head back to Livermore to see the roof as I have been traveling my mom couldn't have been more pleased with the job well done. Based on her recommendation I would recommend Roofs Roofs Roofs Roofs and Phil to any of my East Bay friends. Thanks again, I'm looking forward to seeing the roof in person.
