This company really came through for me. It rained and right before a home inspection the roof started leaking. The price was reasonable and ended up being less than the original estimate. During the last storm I noticed water leaking into my garage. I called Roofs 101 and spoke with Guillermo briefly about my issue. He was driving so I texted him pictures of my damage. He quickly got back with me, immediately knew the problem, and recommended his services for leak repair, and the Roof Tune Up service for the whole roof with a 2 year leak guarantee. Being that my house is 22 years old and the roof has never been serviced I opted for the Roof Tune Up. This was a Monday morning phone call and he scheduled me for the immediate Wed/Thurs due to upcoming rain. He then called me at 5pm with good news that his crew could come next morning!! From 8am-230pm his crew methodically removed my tiles and found all leaks, replaced any rotted plywood boards, and put everything back better than new. I had several cracked tiles(and tiles that were siliconed) that were replaced. All exhaust vents resealed since the caulking was cracked on every vent. They inspected the supporting wood underneath the leak and gave me the clear on just having to replace 2 drywall sheets that were damaged from the roof.
I am thankful for Guillermo's quick response, and his knowledge of roofing. They were able to catch several leaks that I didn't know about. If you have algae, moss, dirt, debris from trees, or simply have never had your roof serviced before(like me), then I recommend you call Roofs 101. Years of seeping water will eventually cause a leak. My leaks were happening for years and all it took was a few more heavy rains and they showed up. If you think you have 1 leak, you have more than you know.
One thing that I learned from this is that it's better to be proactive than wait for an actual issue. If you've never had your roof serviced please do so. I recently had my house painted(licensed contractor) and installed solar(owned by a roofing company) in the past year. I am very happy with both companies' work. Both companies assured me that my roof looked great and there weren't big issues. This is only to ensure their work was able to be completed. The biggest irony is both paint and solar companies were ON my roof and reported nothing major, yet Guillermo from Roofs 101 was able to spot problems from pictures I took from the ground with an outdated iPhone.
After the work was completed by Roofs 101, I was sent an online album of all work performed on my roof, before and after.
Answering/returning phone calls, communicating through text message, and great followup, I can't say enough about how good the experience was despite knowing I had a big problem on my hands. The price of the work was so fair I'm glad I didn't have to call my insurance company for fear of raising rates or just simply dropping me as a client. I will be calling them every few years to inspect my roof.
