They may be good at customer service and craftsmanship if you get a chance to hire them.. but basically it is almost impossible to get hold of this guy Roger. I left him an email on Jun 27th after I called and left a VM. After that I called him 2 more times and left messages with a number to call me back.
Till today I did not get a response either to my calls or email...
They can give me the regular BS that they are on job.. small company... or the most arrogant of them all.. your job is too small for us we deal with big bucks and big roof jobs...

Here is the thing roofpros... if you are not organized enough to return your future customer calls ... no matter how good you do the work you are not good enough to do my job.

PS: We just bought a house and we are dealing with all kinds of contractors.. we try to hire small and medium local businesses instead of the big box stores and from our exp so far everyone of them returned calls at least to tell us that they are unable to take new customers bcz of an ongoing big project they are working on. That is how you gain and retain customers.

I like Roger. Some may not like his demeanor, but hey, some may not like mine!

Getting a hold of him can be a challenge, but I blast him with phone calls, text messages, and emails - the latter of which seems to get the best response rate.

His crew did a total remove and replace job on my house in June/July 2011. They did a great job. Roger made sure every concern i had was taken care of, and in the cases where his employees kept forgetting something, if i reminded Roger, he reminded his guys on the spot.

I also had my roof mounted HVAC unit R&R by a HVAC contractor in which Roofpros had them redo their work to ensure water tight sealing. I appreciate these guys going out of their way to have the job done right, even by a different contractor.

His foreman has had to come out to my house two times since to take care of small issues in September and November - didn't take too much pestering but you gotta stay on 'em.

I am happy to report I have Zero issues with my new roof, but know that if I do, Roger will be the first person I call, and I know he will get it taken care of.

Five years ago we did a major remodeling of our home. When it came to replacing our roof we turned to Roger Tominello and ROOFPROS, based largely on their Better Business Bureau membership as well as their inclusion in the Done Right Directory for San Diego Metro.

Because there were several contractors working on the house simultaneously, it was necessary to coordinate the various activities taking place. Roger was particularly helpful in this, dividing his old roof removal phase into two parts by first stripping all of the edge trim tiles from the old roof to accommodate the application of liquid stucco into areas that would otherwise be inaccessible had the edge pieces not been removed beforehand. He then suspended his operation for a week to permit the completion of the liquid stucco application, resuming his operations again and removing the remainder of the roof tiles. His crew was hard working, professional and well supervised, with the on-site foreman keeping me fully apprised of developments and progress. Workmanship was consistently of the highest quality and the crew's experience and the pride taken in their work was clearly evident throughout the project.

While you can only imagine how a job will turn out when you select styles and colors from tile samples--even with pictures of other completed jobs--there is still that element of apprehension while the job progresses on just how your new roof will actually look in the end. The results exceeded our expectations in every respect. The crew was even able to mount a decorative tile endcap we had received from relatives in Japan at the ridgeline of our entryway as the finishing touch.

I would recommend ROOFPROS and Roger Tominello to anyone contemplating replacing their roof. This is a business run with professionalism and integrity while producing outstanding results.

A home that I am purchasing has evidence of a prior leak that my home inspector reported was likely due to vent flashing that had failed in the past. He recommended that the roof be inspected by a professional roofer, so I contacted Roofpros.

Roger returned my call five hours later and his professional demeanor immediately struck me as odd....there was a patronizing tone in the way that he spoke; not typical for one who is experienced working with the public. Anyway, I explained my needs to him and Roger advised me that the house needed a new roof. He indicated that almost all houses of that age used a single layer of 30lb roof paper with a 15 year life span. The 19 year house would require a new $15,000 roof, and any repairs to extend the life would be wasteful.

I asked Roger to consider the possibility that the almost $1 million house in Poway might have better that a single layer of 30lb paper and may only require a repair to the flashing. He seemed perturbed that I questioned his professional advice and quickly ended the conversation.

Roger may be right; the house may need a new roof. However, the fact that he would not even take a look at it combined with his self-righteous indignation was my clue to look elsewhere.

Roger, was great! These rains have been so intense that my remodeled house had a leak for some reason. I called him and he walked me through the logic of lots of wind, rain, and attic vents. Instead of coming over and charging me a fortune for nothing, he advised me to wait and make sure it is truly a problem. If it does turn out to be a problem, I know I can trust Roger and will definitely call him!

Seriously!! Ok so I read the only review this company had and said ""nice a small company that provides good customer service and does not try to cheat you"" so I've been trying to get a hold of this guy named Roger for almost a week, left some voicemails, no call back. Finally got a hold of him today, introduced myself told him about the estimate I needed and all he said was ""not interested"" and hung up. Thanks Roger! Not even the courtesy of a call back letting me know you can't take another job at this time or anything. It's ok, little do you know, I oversee the operation and maintenace of 8 buildings in the downtown/ little Italy area, that are in dying need of roof repairs. In these times, I'm sure there are plenty of roofing companies that ""are interested"" in my business.

When I saw that water started leaking into the roof/walls around our sky window... I wasn't exactly sure what was the cause. This was about three years ago and I don't quite remember how I stumbled across finding Roofpros (probably via Craigslist), but I'm glad I did!

I really had no idea what I was talking about when I called, but I spoke with Roger and he was so helpful in explaining how long roofing typically lasts for and gave me my options for repairing our roof. Redo-ing the whole roof was not in our budget at the time. So Roger suggested that we redo the lining underneath the shingles. It would be something much better than what was done on the original track home. I asked him honestly, how much time that would buy me before I would ultimately have to redo the roof anyways... and he was honest and informative.

I felt that the cost was reasonable for the job and amount of time we anticipated it would last. He provided me with some phone numbers to previous clients so that I could check their references (obviously Yelp was not available at the time). It checked out, so we went ahead and gave them the thumbs up.

Roofpros came out and got the job done in a very timely manner. If I remember correctly, they even replaced a couple of the shingles that were broken up there. =)

Its been three years now and we have had NO problems with any leaks coming from the roof (*knocks on wood*). I do anticipate that when the time comes, we will be going back to Roofpros to do the whole sha-bang... But for now, I will enjoy what we have.

They apparently do rain gutters too... I had called for a quote once but again, funds were tight, so we have yet to conquer that home repair. I will probably go back to them for that as well just based on previous experience with this company. Will update my review when that time comes.
