From quote to finish, we are so pleased with our experience with Roofing Specialists. The team worked quickly, efficiently and thoroughly despite us having other significant work done at our house at the same time and it being very chaotic. There was A LOT of rotten wood (we had multiple leaks) to be replaced and they did a wonderful job of making it look seamless, and painting to match. They send photos daily of the progress and the work as its being done so we knew what was happening without having to climb on the roof to check it out. Each day they would clean up carefully, including walking around with a magnet to catch stray nails. We've had multiple compliments on our roof already in the 2 weeks its been finished.

Like many of the other people who have written very positive reviews of working with Roofing Specialists of San Diego, I am joining the queue.
From the start, Mark and Eric were in speedy touch with me with to see our roof so I could get a quote. They were very thorough and understanding about the problems that I thought were due to incorrect installation of our solar panels. They went the extra step and took a video showing that the materials used by our solar company were definitely causing the leaks into our home.
Mark and Eric were so knowledgeable that I felt immediate confidence in R.S. of SD replacing our roof. I felt I didn't even need to look at other quotes - they had my confidence right from the start.
Throughout the process Mark stayed in contact with me and went well beyond what he had to do, including contacting the solar company, and always returning my calls promptly. He even drafted a letter to them for me, as a lot of the terminology regarding roofing stanchions, pitch-points, etc are not part of my vocabulary.
Our roof is completed now. It was done in 3 days and the very nice crew worked from 7 in the morning until after the sun set. We are using a new technology with super white PVC material that is supposed to help to insulate our roof. We are looking forward to a cooler summer out here in East County!
I've never regretted not checking out other roofing companies - I know a quality company when I see it, and Roofing Specialists of San Diego didn't disappoint.

The team at Roofing Specialists of San Diego were great all around! Mark Dice came in and did a very thorough walk-through for an accurate estimate. He was always available day or night, and even went out of his way to call me offline to provide some advice and help on an outside matter. On the day of the work, the crew arrived on-time, work diligently and did great work on time! After the project ended, I even received a letter from them stating they were planting a tree in our name.

In the end, we were very happy in going with Roofing Specialists of SD!

I don't have anything but praise for Eric and his business. Eric did a roof inspection on our house. While this doesn't sound like a very high profile job, there were some things that stood out for me: First of all, Eric was responsive right from the start when I called him for the first time. He called back as promised, walked me through the process and answered questions. He showed up when scheduled. And then he took the time needed to look at the roof, personally and with a drone for pictures. Once done with the inspection, he showed me everything that wasn't right and possibly needed a fix. He also called out what wouldn't need a fix just yet even though something was old. At no point did I get the feeling that he wanted to upsell me. The invoice for the inspection and the repair was extremely reasonable.
I will keep his business card, and he is my go-to roofer now.

Mark Dice and his team were amazing! We have a 3300 sq ft home in Scripps Ranch and they did the roof in 4 days!

Communication was always easy with Mark (returned both text and calls). Definitely high quality work and the one or two things we found they promptly attended to them.

Prior to choosing them, we priced out 2 other outfits that were recommended on the Next Door app and Mark's bid was believe it or not actually a tad bit lower.

Best part of all he squeezed us in before the holidays and pending rain. His guys were workers and were non stop till dusk.

Once they started we got detailed pictures and notes of what the roofers were doing each step of the way. They weren't the highest or the lowest quotes for the repairs, just the best. Earlier this year my wife and I decided it was time to replace our roof of 30 years and at the same time attempt to install solar before NEM 3 changed the alternative energy credit landscape in CA.
We had already given the nod to using Eric Richardson and Roofing Specialists based on Eric's prior excellent work on an addition that required roofing a few years previously.
What made our decision easier was Roofing Specialist had partnered with Unified Solar to make it a one stop shopping event.
Due to the NEM2/NEM3 transition, Mark Dice, representing both sides of business, gave us a thorough solar design and a fair quote to get the solar project permitted under NEM2. Once that proposal was signed off on, which by the way did get permitted under NEM2, we worked with Mark on the roofing project and again received a fair quote on removing and replacing our existing composite roof.
Great communication between Mark and us let us know how each project would progress, roof first, and solar next. Even though we signed off on both projects in April, we specified an August start for roofing, and then later solar, based on travel plans.
Mark let us know the roofing project would start early August based on our wishes and should be completed in at most 3 days. This included removing the existing roofing, any roof repairs, if needed, and installing a new 50 year warrantied composite shingles roof, and associated hardware. We were told there would be a small army of workers making this happen. That was no lie. Everyone was professional, courteous, and focused on the job at hand.
True to Mark's word, on the day we previously notified, the roofing crew showed up about 7:00 am. It was amazing what they accomplished on Day One, and it didn't change of Day 2. Day 3 was a half day to complete the roofing project and a smaller crew.
Prior to starting work on Day One part of the crew laid tarps around the perimeter of the house to capture those demo items that gravity took over.
Clean up was done at the end of each day and done meticulously.
The entire roofing project was documented with pictures sent by e-mail daily and upon final inspection all that was promised was delivered.
My wife and I were extremely happy with the entire roofing project. As it would happen, Tropical Storm Hilary gave our new roof a test just a bit more than a week after the completion. It passed with flying colors.
Looking forward to the completion of project number 2, the solar installation.
