Outstanding company to work with. The sales person, Mark, was fantastic. He answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable, and helped me make decisions regarding color and other options. He explained what was going to be done and why. He stayed in touch throughout the whole project, making sure I was pleased with the quality and progress of the work. The work crews did a great job, worked hard, got it done on time, and cleaned up thoroughly every day. The final project looks great.

Earlier this year my wife and I decided it was time to replace our roof of 30 years and at the same time attempt to install solar before NEM 3 changed the alternative energy credit landscape in CA.
We had already given the nod to using Eric Richardson and Roofing Specialists based on Eric's prior excellent work on an addition that required roofing a few years previously.
What made our decision easier was Roofing Specialist had partnered with Unified Solar to make it a one stop shopping event.
Due to the NEM2/NEM3 transition, Mark Dice, representing both sides of business, gave us a thorough solar design and a fair quote to get the solar project permitted under NEM2. Once that proposal was signed off on, which by the way did get permitted under NEM2, we worked with Mark on the roofing project and again received a fair quote on removing and replacing our existing composite roof.
Great communication between Mark and us let us know how each project would progress, roof first, and solar next. Even though we signed off on both projects in April, we specified an August start for roofing, and then later solar, based on travel plans.
Mark let us know the roofing project would start early August based on our wishes and should be completed in at most 3 days. This included removing the existing roofing, any roof repairs, if needed, and installing a new 50 year warrantied composite shingles roof, and associated hardware. We were told there would be a small army of workers making this happen. That was no lie. Everyone was professional, courteous, and focused on the job at hand.
True to Mark's word, on the day we previously notified, the roofing crew showed up about 7:00 am. It was amazing what they accomplished on Day One, and it didn't change of Day 2. Day 3 was a half day to complete the roofing project and a smaller crew.
Prior to starting work on Day One part of the crew laid tarps around the perimeter of the house to capture those demo items that gravity took over.
Clean up was done at the end of each day and done meticulously.
The entire roofing project was documented with pictures sent by e-mail daily and upon final inspection all that was promised was delivered.
My wife and I were extremely happy with the entire roofing project. As it would happen, Tropical Storm Hilary gave our new roof a test just a bit more than a week after the completion. It passed with flying colors.
Looking forward to the completion of project number 2, the solar installation.
I would recommend Roofing Specialist for all your roofing needs and look to their solar associates for an alternative energy solution.

I contacted Sales Associate Robert Garnier for shingle roof replacement. Robert was very responsive and professional throughout the process. After obtaining several quotes from other contractors, I decided to go with Roofing Specialists of San Diego. I was going through an insurance claim (which was a long process) and Robert was very attentive to the requests from my insurance company with providing a detailed itemized estimate, and photos before/after installation of each Owens Corning product with detailed descriptions.

The installation crew, lead by Project Manager Diego, did amazing work. They showed up each day at 7am, and ended each day with a thorough cleaning around my property. They replace all the rotten wood and soffit.

Replacing your roof is an expensive investment to not only protect your home but also add value to your property. I would highly recommend Roofing Specialists of San Diego and am truly impressed with their work.

We called because with all the rain this winter we discovered a leak in our roof. Mark came out to take a look and give a quote. He went above and beyond by risking life and limb to get up on the roof. . The quote came back and seemed reasonable. We appreciated that they were honest and said we could replace a section and not the entire roof. The only downside was how long it took to get on the schedule, but it makes sense that they were super busy, given all the rain we had! I'm sure half of San Diego was discovering roof leaks. When they came, they were thorough and efficient, and cleaned up after they were finished. Provided loads of photos of the roof before, during, and after the work. Very satisfied!

I needed a complete roof replacement, and this company was recommended to me by someone I know that was happy with their work. I am happy to say I also had a good experience. The 2023 winter storms in San Diego pushed our aging roof over the edge and we had a leak in January. After doing research and a few different quotes, we decided on Roofing Specialists of San Diego. From the beginning, Mark Dice was excellent with communication, timely, and wrote up a very detailed quote, which I was very appreciative of. You don't always see that with contractors. Even though they were super busy with the extreme weather causing slowdowns in the industry, they managed to squeeze our roof replacement in before Allstate canceled our house policy. What a relief to not have bad roof cooties and be able to shop for home insurance!
The crew worked really hard and got it done quickly and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. Mark Dice would be a good dance choreographer, he kept all the moving parts of the job coordinated and working well.

Eric, Robert, and the rest of these guys are top notch. I got multiple estimates for my full lift and lay roof replacement (including solar remove/reinstall). While they were not the lowest bidder, they - by far - took the most time and effort up front to thoroughly walk the job, fully understand the scope, and then they provided a very detailed estimate and explained everything very well so that I understood what they were proposing to do, why they were doing it, and how some of their competitors might not put the same level of quality in place. I ultimately just had the most comfort and confidence going with the Roofing Specialists because I felt they understood the job the best and provided the utmost professional service. When they came to do the job, they showed up in force and knocked it out quickly. They take TONS of pictures along the way and share them all, so you can see progress, as well as any change order scope (look, if you're replacing a roof - expect to uncover some dryrotted wood!). Everything was super straightforward, and even when there was a hiccup about some painting scope, these guys did the right thing and simply took care of it. I couldn't recommend them more highly - they're the right ones for the job!
