Founded in 1958 by brothers-in-law Sid Strand and Bill Van Velzen, Roofing Service Company began in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 2014, Tracy, the granddaughter of Sid, and her husband, Travis Kerner, set out to uphold their legacy in Lincoln, NE. After achieving success with our community-focused approach in Lincoln, we launched our latest branch in 2020 to provide the same exceptional service to homeowners in North Texas.

We focus on straightforward communication and the principle that homeowners deserve accurate installations for flawless performance. We don’t aspire to be the largest roofing company in the area; we simply want to do it right! Lane joined our Roofing Service Company team after six years working with a roofing distributor in Texas. Prior to his roofing career beginning in 2014, Lane received his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Lane and his wife, Chelsea, reside and work in the DFW area with their golden retriever, Lola.
