In 1958, Sid Strand and Bill Van Velzen, brothers-in-law, established Roofing Service Company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 2014, Tracy, Sid’s granddaughter, along with her husband, Travis Kerner, took on the mission to continue their legacy in Lincoln, NE. After achieving success with our community-focused approach in Lincoln, we launched our latest branch in 2020 to provide the same exceptional service to homeowners in North Texas.

We focus on straightforward communication and the principle that homeowners deserve accurate installations for flawless performance. We’re not aiming to be the largest roofing contractor; we just want to get it right! Lane joined our Roofing Service Company team after six years working with a roofing distributor in Texas. Prior to his roofing career beginning in 2014, Lane received his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Lane lives and works in the DFW area with his wife, Chelsea, and their golden retriever, Lola.
