At Roofing Service Company, our mission is to deliver the finest roof installations every single time. Through our local approach, we walk our clients through the entire roofing process. Roofing Service Company was founded by brothers-in-law, Sid Strand and Bill Van Velzen, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in 1958. In 2014, Tracy, the granddaughter of Sid, and her husband, Travis Kerner, set out to uphold their legacy in Lincoln, NE. Building on our success in Lincoln, we established our latest branch in 2020 to offer the same quality experience to homeowners in North Texas.

We focus on straightforward communication and the principle that homeowners deserve accurate installations for flawless performance. Our goal isn’t to be the biggest roofer in town; we just want to ensure quality work! We are proud to be ShingleMasters certified by CertainTeed, a premier roofing manufacturer, and we consistently uphold an A+, 5-star rating with the BBB.

Lane became part of the Roofing Service Company team after spending six years with a Texas-based roofing distributor. Lane obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Ag. Economics from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln before starting his roofing career in 2014. Lane and his wife, Chelsea, reside and work in the DFW area with their golden retriever, Lola.
