I waited a few years to write this review because that's how long it takes to know if a roofer did a good job.

Jose came and looked at our roof, which was a mess - we shared a roof with a neighbor and it was 1/2 replaced 18 years prior. There were issues with drains and posts which were causing leaks all over.

I got an estimate for a complete re-roof and one for a strategic patch and repair job. Being tight on funds, I took the latter. Jose brought some very experienced workers who re-constructed some parts of the roofing, patched others, and left the area clean. The price was more than fair, I got an estimate right away, and the work started and completed promptly.

So here we are a few years later and the roof is great - five stars.

Jose is also bright, personable, and a straight-shooter. My experience with other roofers over the years has been the opposite. Jose was great and when I need more roofing work he'll be my first and likely only call.

Jose is simply an incredibly nice guy and very professional which seems to be a rarity in the roofing business. We had water spots on our ceiling so we called and made an appointment. Jose was right on time, checked our attic and found that the leak was from a vent pipe and not the roof. He even videoed the leaking pipe. If we ever have a roof related problem we know who to call. The best in the business.

We had two leaks in our roof and wanted to get them taken care of before the rains started again this year. I called several roofers. Many of them wouldn't return my call because they only wanted to do larger jobs. The company that originally installed our roof wouldn't even answer their phone. I received bids to fix these two simple leaks ranging from 6k to a 20k full roof replacement! Jose was incredibly professional and responsive. He promptly returned my call and came out to check out our leak. He and his team fixed our leaks within a few hours for a little over 2k. I now look forward to the rain to see how great my roof repair is working! No more leaks. We are so happy we found Roofing Craftsmen on Yelp. They provide a much needed service with professional, affordable solutions.

We had a nasty leak and could not get our previous roofer to return our calls. Yelp reviews led us to Roofing Craftsmen. It took a little bit of phone tag to connect, but once we had an appointment, Jose showed up on time, identified the problem, and was honest enough to tell me that what I had was not a roofer problem but a handyman problem. Thanks to Jose, all is well. Next time we need a new roof, we know who we'll be calling. This is a man who loves his work and has an inspired sense of customer service. He also extended a kindness to me on a day when I truly needed it. I will not forget that. Thank you!

Based on great Yelp reviews, called about a roof leak. The exchange answered. Asked if Mill Valley was in Marin. Took my info. Never heard back. Moving on.

Excellent customer service! Jose was so prompt in calling me back, polite and knowledgeable. Unfortunately after speaking with him we realized we needed a different service. But if we ever need a roof repair (instead of a replacement) we'll call him.

Jose is amazing. I'm a real estate broker who has been in the Sonoma/Marin county real estate market for 17+ years. I have never worked with a roofer or frankly any contractor that gives the service that Jose gives. He follows up after hours and on weekends even when he doesn't have to. Beyond that, his work is excellent and his prices reasonable. Jose cares about the clients much more than he does the paycheck. I recommend him completely and unequivocally. In fact, I'm referring him to a client right now!
