James B Robertson Inc put a new roof on my house 3 years ago. Since then we have had high winds and very few rain storms. In a torrential downpour a few weeks back, I notice a very slight ""drip"" in my family room ceiling next to the fireplace chimney.

Within 3 hours, James was on our roof in blinding wind and rain finding and fixing the source of the leak. Problem solved

Where have you ever had a contractor, any contractor, do that for you!!!!!

James repaired an old leaky flat roof that covers a patio at my house and he did an excellent job. The whole process was very stress free for me. The price he quoted was very reasonable, much more so than other companies. And mind you, this was done about two years ago, so I can attest that his work is reliable because I haven't had any problems since. I also remember being impressed by the fact that I didn't have to clean up after his workers when they were done, which I always appreciate. Thumbs up!

James has been in the business for a long time. He knows what he's doing.

Everything was done properly; nothing half acre (if you know what I mean). The roofing guys had been doing it for YEARS, the material was 1st rate, and they did NOT scrimp on the material. I really believe if you do work (painting, roofing, etc.) with plenty of material, not skimping, you'll get a good job.

We had a very wet winter (2016/2017) ... and no problems!

My hat's off to James & his crew.

Update on my review... The owner sends me messages asking me to take down my review. Calls me all kinds of horrible names and says that I am ""pathetic and lonely because I'm not married""! What does that have to do with his crappy work LOL. He uses vulgar language and tries to attack my character which again has absolutely nothing to do with the work he did on my house. So he is not only a horrible roofer he is also immature....

At first they seemed great, seem to do a good job and delivered it on time but then a year later my roof started to leak. I called them because of my guarantee but they started the blame game and won't fix it. They knew that I had a small table and chairs on a flat roof on top of the garage that we sit in. Now they're acting like they never knew that, even though they were the ones who moved it out-of-the-way! This was a big conversation that we had about people walking on the roof and having people sit in the chairs and hang out at the table and chairs. I had also had them look inside of the garage to see how much weight my roof could actually hold in case I decided to put a shed on top. So now acting like they had no clue about people walking on the roof which by the way there is a staircase that leads right up to the roof so it's not like anyone is climbing a ladder to get on top it's actually a landing patio type of roof. And they said that because of people walking on it is the reason it's leaking. That is absolutely not a good reason. Especially since hardly anyone is ever on it plus walking on the roof shouldn't cause it to leak. Bad workmanship will cause it to leak. I've had another roofer out there to fix their mistake and he said it was not good work also. Not a good company because they do not stand by their word or guarantee at all. Now I'm going to have to get lawyers involved if I want anything fixed. That's basically what he said. Definitely nightmare company.

This guy is a stand up, honest man. While he could have used what i didnt know against me, he taught me a couple of things about roofing and put me in touch with a specialist who could help.

Not only that, he gave me some great advice for the issues I was seeing as a homeowner. Since we dont have a traditional roof, we couldn't work together unfortunately.

But he is a good, honest, business person.

After heavy winds followed by heavy rains last week, our roof sprung a small leak into our living room. Had a few friends recommend James Robertson. After checking the great yelp reviews I called on Monday (observed Holiday) and left a message. At 5:57 am on Tuesday morning (crazy inappropriate time to call someone) I received a call back with him leaving a message. I returned the call a few hours later. A very confused/ overworked Mr Robertson spoke with me and we agreed he would come by Wednesday to inspect my roof. He asked me to text him my address with my name and reminder of problem. I did immediately. The next day, Wednesday, stayed home all day waiting. By late afternoon I texted again to ask if he was coming, no response. He never showed. Thursday morning I texted and called. No response back. I then called the office number early afternoon and a nice sounding lady took my info and said she would have him call me. Never heard from him. Now it's pouring again. Terrible service.

Update: Jim's been out 3 times since he put on the roof 2+ years ago for very minor leaks; (remember, this is 3500 sq. ft. of FLAT roof). Each time I called, Jim himself came out that very day or the next and had the problem fixed right away. This is excellent customer service! Again, we've been delighted with the way our roof keeps us dry, keeps us cool in the summer, and keeps us toasty in the cold months. Thank you Jim Robertson!
