Excellent work by Ezra's crew! The job I had originally contracted ""grew"" much bigger, as more wood rot was found, and it was also discovered that a previous roof repair job by a Paso Robles company was defective.

Bottom line, is that a fairly-easy, fairly-simple 2 day job became a challenging 4 day job, but Ezra's men did great work and I'm very happy with the results.

The cost of the work, considering the extra labor and the increased cost of supplies, was very fair. Thanks much! GMBlack

Overpriced and very much NOT WORTH IT. After I was very unsatisfied with Roofing Concepts on just my garage roof, I went with Superior Roofing for the very big job of removing 90 years of roofing from my house and replacing it with new sheathing and roof. Bob Melena owns and runs Superior Roofing, meaning he is actually on the roof with the crew, including his son, Bob JR. I recommend them and would trust them again absolutely. Great work at a fair price. Superior lives up to its name.

I had a smaller roof repair and I didn't know where to start. Roofing Concepts was the 2nd place I called for help and I was very pleased at the quick response and appointment for Ezra to see what needed to be done. After our appointment, I received a quote very quickly by email, and again, I was happy for the quick response. After that, it went down hill. I asked them for one more quote (3 items needed to be done) before scheduling the work. I had to call and follow-up 3 times over the next 2 weeks, with no response. I sent a final ""disappointed"" email and said my job must be too small for such a 'busy' company to deal with, so thanks but no thanks. I got an immediate reply (!!!!) with an apology and a 'but we're so busy ...' yada yada yada. The job may be small to them, but it was big to me. Sad.

We recently used Roofing Concepts when we found we had a roof leak. Just like the other review, they were not the lowest price but they are willing to work with your budget. Ezra showed up 10 minutes early (not just on time) to give the bid. We could tell right away that he was knowledgeable, professional and interested in getting things done the right way. The crew that worked on our roof was professional and kept the work area clean.
I would recommend Roofing Concepts to anyone that wants to make sure that the job is done the right way.

I had a great experience with owner Ezra and his Roofing Concepts crew. They gave me a competitive price (not the lowest bid), but they were much more responsive and professional than the other five roofers I spoke to, so I went with them.

I didn't have to wait long for their availability, and the work was done quickly and professionally. Nice crew too. They installed 12 O'Hagan vents on my home and they're working as promised to vent my whole house fan and generally keep the house cooler. I had a couple of finicky requests after they finished, and credit to them, they got back on the roof and took care of my requests.

I would recommend Roofing Concepts and will use them again if I have future roofing work.

As an aside, I contacted about six Santa Barbara roofing companies to get bids. All of them responded and set up appointments, but most of them gave me ridiculously excessive bids or didn't bother following up with quotes or to answer standard follow-on questions. It's like they weren't interested or were too busy surfing. In contrast, Ezra was responsive, reasonable and oversaw good work. I recommend Roofing Concepts.
