Was referred to Brandon at roofing by homeplus by a coworker. I couldn't be happier with the communication and job that was done. We had some shingles damaged from Hurricane Milton, the crew not only repaired damaged area, also looked over the entire roof and took care of any problem areas. 10 out of 10.
Tracy E.We hired Home Plus to do a complete roof replacement - we paid them $40,000 for a new roof and I've been trying for months to get them to finish the job. They basically took old facials and soffits , bent them and shoved them under the gutter. I've spent 2 months calling and texting our sales rep, the Home Plus office, and have been told 5 times 'someone will be out this week, or tomorrow , etc to complete the job.' No one shows up and now they don't answer the phone. The roof job was a complete mess-every day workers were there I had to call the project manager (who surprisingly no longer works there), the sales rep and the office and ask them to please clean up the thousands of nails and debris all over the outside of the house. Completely unprofessional and unresponsive. We are now forced to hire an attorney to resolve this matter -it's been a total nightmare. Highly recommend NOT USING HOME PLUS ROOFING-they are scammers ! The one star is only because I was forced to pick at least one.... If I could pick a negative star I would have ...
STAY AWAY from Roofing by Home Plus! What started initially like a pleasant experience, turned very sour at the end for us. The sales rep, Pavel Malyk, presented a contract for a reasonable price. Unfortunately our insurance estimate was significantly revised and no one even bothered to revisit or update the initial contract with us.
After we paid the ""final"" invoice payment, we were surprised to receive multiple new invoices without clarification or an updated contract. In the end, the roof replacement for our home cost more than $3,457 of what was indicated on our contract. My wife and I are retired and on fixed income and instead of taking the time to explain the billing discrepancy, we started to get threatening phone calls that the outstanding balance would be sent to collections. This caused my wife and I unnecessary stress and frustration.
The accounting department was an absolute mess. No one had answers for us, despite multiple email requests. Brenda Calcara, an accountant, was finally able to provide an explanation to us after we called and informed her that we would be posting a review of our experience with Roofing by Home Plus. What a shame!
What's more, the workmanship of our roof replacement was poor. The crew was fast and sloppy. I requested for them to come back and re-do several poorly installed gutter sections. They ran out of supplies and despite the re-done work, I still had to resecure certain sections by myself due to the crew's competence.
If you don't want to deal with a significantly higher than expected roofing bill, an incompetent billing department and poor quality of work, I highly suggest that you STAY AWAY from Roofing by Home Plus.
BEWARE and THINK TWICE before you sign a contract with Roofing by Home Plus. The sales rep, Pavel Malyk, presented one contract amount, but after the insurance estimate was revised, they failed to update the contract and I was in for a very rude surprise at the end.
What's more, the billing and accounting department was a total disaster. After making the final invoice payment (or so I thought), I received a statement indicating that the invoice was paid in full. A few months later, without any explanations or clarifications, I was surprised to receive a new invoice with a higher ending balance amount than what was indicated on the contract. The most concerning issue was that after the ""new"" final balance was recalculated, a payment of more than $6,500 was not even accounted for in the new billing records! I was so grateful that I had a copy of the receipt saved.
In the end, the roof replacement for my property costs nearly $1,000 more than what was indicated on the contract. After my insurance had revised the initial estimate, no representative from Roofing by Home Plus even bothered to review or update the contract indicating the new difference. I had sent multiple emails requesting an explanation regarding the contract and final invoice discrepancy. I didn't get an answer until I called and informed the accounting department that I would be posting a public review of my experience. Accountant Brenda Calcara finally scrambled and investigated the situation.
The staff at this company are VERY sloppy and careless, not just in the billing department but also following-up on outstanding issues. After the roof was replaced, I had left over roofing supplies sitting on my driveway for months. It took multiple calls and reminders to get it all picked up. On top of that, I had roofing nails left all around the premises of the property that the crew didn't even bother to clean up after themselves.
If I had an opportunity to restart the roofing replacement process for my property, I would absolutely NOT choose Roofing by Home Plus and I will highly recommend for anyone to do the same. Please do a favor and save yourself from the frustration of dealing with this sloppy company.
I reached out to Dennis from HomePlus after Hurricane Ian tore through our city. They were the only company that gave us a fair quote. All of the other roofing companies I heard back from were all just just storm hunting and hiked up their pricing so much! Dennis was responsive, considerate and very professional throughout the entire process. The team at HomePlus delivered and installed my brand new, gorgeous roof just 23 days after signing with them! Thankful I found these guys!

Instead of supporting the community and local families after a catastrophic hurricane hit our area, Roofing by Homeplus is threatening to sue local families. Did they buy any supplies yet? NO! Did they do any work on our property? NO! Our family like many others suffered a great loss from hurricane Ian. While many local families are struggling to stay afloat, this company is trying to take advantage! Less than a week after hurricane hit they came out and they lied about the contract we signed and never followed up with the proper contract. We felt pressured and mislead during the process and made it known to the sales agent and owner. They were never willing to give a price for their services and we were told an updated contract would be provided and would include more details. After telling our sales agent we did not feel comfortable with the contract, the owner reached out and defended the way they ""work"" with insurance companies. What they really do is force people to sign direct pay authorizations and lead them to believe this is the only way. The conversation with the owner made us even more uncomfortable and we sent an email to Gary the sales agent saying once again we were uncomfortable with a direct to pay. His response was, "" If you are uncomfortable with direct pay let me speak with our GM. It might be revocable "". We assumed this is what he was going to do and for almost 15 weeks we heard nothing from them. This was such a relief. Then we received a phone call from a woman threatening to sue us if we weren't going to use their company. They want money when they haven't bought any supplies or done any work. They will harass you with rude phone calls and letters and demand you give them money for doing NOTHING! We have asked kindly to move on from this company as we have felt uncomfortable with them from the first stressful week after hurricane Ian. Their response has been to demand we pay them money for doing NOTHING! Do not fall victim to this company and do not let them take advantage of you!
Our roof was replaced by Home Plus after Hurricane Ian. The initial inspection failed, they fixed it and then put the roof on. Our roof failed inspection again. We have called and they came out took pictures and documented what was wrong with the roof. We thought great, it will get fixed now and we haven't heard from anyone even though we call at least twice a week. I am disappointed with the quality of the work and lack of response to our calls - we need our roof to pass inspection and now we have to hire someone else to come in and fix their failures. On top of that they have emailed me their invoice twice and I promptly respond I will not pay until my roof is fixed. Maybe this review will force them to respond to our calls or for them to reach out.
from start to finish the process was quick and easy. im very happy with the results and the neighbors all complient the looks of the roof. i would refer Homeplus to all my friends
