Peter D.They missed their appointments 3 times, and completed less than the work order stated. 3 of the vents pictured in the estimate were not repaired with any mastic. I'll be filing a complaint. Do not use this company.
This service is a scam it's not a real service. The guy that was sent over was half drunk, morbidly obese and could barely get on the roof. Definitely would not recommend this service even if its given free
Beware of these scammers. We just moved into our home and they contacted us telling us that they had to do an inspection in order to activate our home warranty. We've had the same home warranty company for years and never required an inspection, but they insisted it was a new program. Came and inspected our roof and of course found things wrong with it and presented me with an invoice to repair 40' of shingles. For all I know, they broke the shingles! We just had a home inspection prior to our home purchase and they said the roof was fine. My husband called home warranty company and turns out there is NO affiliation.
Check out the d rating they have from bbb. And as everyone else says, total scam. Paying steak prices for a hot dog. Also they are under investigation by the California da. And don't give them your cc unless you are ready to be billed without your permission. And forget about asking for a refund.bpl
Richmond L.Terrible employer to work for, I worked there for almost a year and always had to check my payment, always shorting and have to really keep tabs on the jobs you do. Gas incentive was a joke , you spend more money on gas and the jobs we're sometimes very unorganized. more like an independent contractor instead of an employee.
They came right out to inspect what needed to be done, we agreed on a price by email, they needed a 10% deposit to set a date for repair. They said I could put the deposit on a credit card, (I said I wanted to pay the rest by check) I let them charge the deposit, then it took 10 days to get a repair date that was another week later. The guys that did the work were fine. The repair is on the condo complex I manage, that involved 5 different units.
A week later I get a emailed bill showing that they charged another 40% to my personal card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I called the office, no answer, left a message saying I did not want them using my card, NO RETURN CALL.
I decided to wait a few days for some rain we were expecting to make sure it was repaired, it rained , no leaks. I wrote the final payment check and mailed it. The next day I got an email from my Bill Payer account saying my credit card payment, that I paid a week earlier, had a huge balance. I checked it and ROOF RX had again used my credit card without authorization.
BEWARE, DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD.
Check out the ""D"" rating RoofRX has from the BBB before you believe the glowing reviews online: Everything about RoofRX is a sham.
They claim to provide a ""19-point inspection"" before issuing a warranty, but they don't actually offer any meaningful information that might allow a homeowner to make an informed choice about the efficacy of such a ""warranty.""
Warranty isn't even the right word for what they sell, since they don't actually guarantee the integrity of the service they claim to provide--if the initial inspection has no integrity, what can you expect from the contract? The experience goes downhill *fast.*
When you have to file a claim, it's impossible to speak to an operator or other service rep--you have to leave a voice mail (this is true even if you get a so-called direct line to a manager. NO ONE answers the phone at this company.) What's worse, their recorded message says all calls will be returned within five hours--my calls to file a claim took fully TWO WEEKS to get returned.
Then the fun really starts.
Importantly, the warranty caps out at $5k, so if you need your roof replaced it doesn't make much of a dent (at least not in California), but of course they don't offer $5k, they offer the smallest possible amount to cover the least amount of damage.
In my case, they ""warrantied"" my roof even though it was so damaged I could have negotiated with the sellers to have it fixed as part of my purchase agreement. RoofRX claimed the roof was in fine shape but in my first year in the house the roof leaked in multiple places. It took two months--two months--for them to schedule a repair, a repair that wouldn't be complete until 12 weeks after the claim was placed.
A three-month wait in the middle of the rainy season for leaks that should have been disclosed during the inspection phase?! That's a warranty? For what I'd like to know!
I can't warn against purchasing this fake warranty strongly enough. They'll lie to you on the front end, screw you on the back end, and waste as much of your time jerking you around in the meantime as they possibly can. I've not come across a business so brazen and so shameless in a v long time. These guys treat customers like they're suckers (of the one-born-every-minute variety) and don't deserve one penny of a homeowner's hard-earned cash. Put your money someplace where it can earn a little interest in your rainy-day fund...but don't use it to buy a roof warranty from RoofRX. You'll be flushing your money right down the drain.
Carlos did all the repairs on my roof,on time, very good job, very friendly. I Would highly recommend this company, will use again
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. BEWARE
LOOK THEM UP ON THE BBB, I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS PROBLEMS.
Roof Rx replaced my partial roof over dining room and hallway. Roof failed and caused major water damage to my dining room and hallway. On Approximately July 9, 2013 I had hired Roof RX to repair a roof leak over my dining room area. There was water coming into dining room thru a recessed light. I paid them 1,095.00. to repair the area. Soon after the roof was leaking again in same spot, they came out several times and tried to repair roof. Finally, on 9/18/205 they advised me I needed to replace the roof, they credited me the original amount I paid them since I was still under warranty. I then paid Roof RX an additional 2,700.00. They replaced the roof, but soon after on 2/1/2016, roof was leaking again in the same area. They again tried to patch the new roof several times. Dates back out to repair new roof, 10/17/2016, 2/3/2017, 4/3/2017 & 5/3/2017. On 5/3/2017 they advised me I needed another new roof that their contractor had not done a proper job. By this time with all the rain we had this yr, I had very bad water damage to the walls ceiling and floor in my dining room. I told them they need to compensate me for damages caused by faulty roof they installed. They advised me it was not their problem. They offered just to replace roof. They never even pulled a permit to do the work. This is against the law in the city I live in. At this point, just wanted my money back plus damages, so I can hire a local company to put on a proper roof that will not leak again and ruin my property. I have sent the owner a e-mail to this effect and a certified letter. I have called their office and they will no longer speak to me or take my calls. They don't answer the phone and just transfer me around then hang up on me. I am now going to seek legal action against them. Looks like they are being sued by others with similar problems. NO RESPONSE WHAT SO EVER. They just really don't care.
Californians lose their minds when it rains and of course we had an issue with our roof. Roof Rx helped schedule a fast appointment, were friendly and did a great job. I definitely plan on using them again if need be in the future.
