The flat roof on our carport had reached the end of it's life and started to leak, resulting in some wood rot in a number of places.
I'm often very skeptical of Yelp reviews, but we ended up getting 3 bids from Yelp, and decided to go with Roof Raiders. Robben at Roof Raiders put together a detailed quote along with repairs to our pitch roof (sealing cap screws, painting metal, etc.) and maintenance (gutter cleanout, new leaf screens).
I appreciated the detail of the quote, Robben left nothing out and was clear about what was in scope and included in the price. After a thorough inspection and a couple of discussions we nailed a final quote. Robben put together a very reasonable price and timeline, permits included.
I was super impressed by Robben's straightforward honesty, responsiveness and communication. I honestly, in many years of working with different contractors, including roofers, have never come across someone that is so on top of their communication; via phone, text and on site in person; from quoting right the way to completion. Robin was on site everyday, sometimes multiple times, he'd send me pictures also at the end of the day. I've come across many contractors that are very responsive until you sign the contract, then it's a complete mystery from there - NOT so with Robben!
I'm an engineer that sweats the details, and doesn't have a problem climbing on the roof or crawling underneath the house. I appreciate that he was on top of our job.
Our flat roof was a small-ish job, but with some weird/funky existing details - Robben handled them well and talked through the options. For example, when we agreed the scope, we talked about removing old nails that poked through the ceiling of the carport - even though a small detail, he didn't forget and took care of it. The crew were also genuinely nice guys. There was no scope creep or surprises - everything was in scope as quoted; that rarely happens. The worked passed all inspections with no problems.
We're very happy with the work, timeline and price!

After some comparisons, I hired Roof Raider to help replace the old roof on my house built in 1959. The owner, Robben Martinez, gave me a very fair price, far lower than others. I was very grateful that he allowed me to pay him half a month late. He and his workers were professional and always in communication. During the entire roof replacement process, photos were taken and sent to me so that I could understand the progress of each step of the project. Even if there was something wrong, they were willing to take full responsibility to fix it ASAP. By talking with them, the impression they left on me was that even though Robben's team are mostly young people, they love their work and are proud to complete the task perfectly. They were a wonderful work team. I would like to recommend Roof Raider to you if you are looking for a company to replace or fix your roof.

Other reviews seemed very promising so I contacted them for an initial roof inspection to identify potential issues.

While friendly, respondent cancelled 4 appointments in a row, the last one specifically scheduled 10 days in advance, first thing in the morning.

Each time I had to text to figure out he wasn't arriving *after* the start of the appointment, with no advance notice.

This did not bode well for the actual work. YMMV.

If you need a new roof or repair, call Roof Raiders. Best contractor I have worked with, in awhile.I had my roof replaced, Rob and his team were friendly, professional, and just a pleasure to work with. They did an excellent job, on time reasonable prices, said and did what they said. Listed to and answered all my questions and concerns. the house that my business uses as its headquarters started to leak with the heavy rains. After speaking with another company and the speaking with Robben, it was clear who would be the better choice. Robben is very friendly and honest, he even provided some possible alternative solutions in case there was an issue with going with a full replacement for our roof. The overall speed and efficiency of his crew were respectful and great; they got our entire roof replaced within several days and it looks fantastic. If you need someone to work on your roof who is friendly, professional and honest, I could not recommend a better business.

Robben and Roof Raiders replaced shingles on our roof that were missing/loose from wind/storm damage. He was very responsive with the estimate, explained the process and patiently waited when we needed approval from our insurance company. Once approved, he sent his team out quickly to get the job done within a couple hours. We are very pleased with the reasonable price and the warranty that covers their work.

Robben and his team were referred to me by family to have our house looked at for estimates for a new roof. We had a mess during the recent windy storms and wanted to plan ahead for the winter. Robben came out and took videos, picture, and even used a drone to give us a full picture on what we were up against and how we could proceed. He has a professional estimate sent other to us in less than 48 hours and was able to get a team together with before the rain even let up. We had our house completed in less than a week with proactive frequent pictures via text of the work he was doing and the areas that has been completed. Highly recommend Robben and his roof raiders.
