There are many roofing companies to choose from but the Roof Doctors is a gold standard in my book. Hugh had been repairing leaks here and there over the years for me and after a major hail storm it was time for a replacement. He went above and beyond educating me and my insurance company on the process. There were multiple occasions when Hugh worked directly with my insurance adjuster when they under quoted work which would have costed me thousands more if he had not intervened. He is a professional and bends over backwards to make sure the job is to your satisfaction. We even had a few little issues that caused minor damage and Hugh immediately took care of it and made it right. If you live in Castle Hills you will get a white glove treatment because Hugh is a neighbor and has a lot of pride in his work. He's been at it for 29 years so he must be doing something right.

I am reading all this good reviews and wondering what happened to my roof. Hugh worked on the two leaks of my roof and it leaked the first rain after the work done. I have been calling and hoping Hugh will come back and finish the job, but the leaks are still present (it rained hard last weekend) and Hugh simply disappeared.

Do yourself a favor ~ save yourself all kinds of headaches & hire Hugh O'Hara & the Roof Doctor. I just moved in my house and first storm that hit, there were 3 leaks ~ 1 really bad we had a bucket in the bedroom. I got 3 estimates from 3 different roof contractors. I picked the Roof Doctor & Hugh because he answered all my questions, was patient, took pictures of the problem areas and offered a variety of solutions and earned my trust and respect.
He did an excellent job and is very professional and Honest. How many times can you say that about any contractor you hire to repair your home?
The next time it rained after leaks were repaired, guess what ~ no leaks, no stains, no drips or trickles, etc. He also provided a warranty with the repairs and we sleep in peace now when it rains!

Hugh of Roof Doctors was recommended to me by a realtor friend. I contacted several roofing companies when I found out I needed the roof replaced.

It boiled down to Roof Doctors and one other company very quickly. The other company was just as patient answering my questions as Hugh, just as thorough in their answers (me, I'm a tad compulsive and I had a *lot* of questions), but for me the difference was that when I got busy and didn't get back to them, Hugh took the initiative to get back with me. Not in a pushy salesman way at all, but rather like someone I could depend on to carry the ball. And that held true throughout the process.

I have a small house, a little over 1200 sf, and they had the roof on in two days. I had an aluminum tile roof and Hugh checked with me and, with my agreement, arranged for a recycler to collect the aluminum.

After the holidays were over, Hugh followed up with me and installed my choice of venting. (I was considering solar attic fans but he clued me in that they don't have a rep for moving much air (I finally found the number: a mere 250 cfm -- think a really cheap range hood) and on top of that, the fact that the motors in these electric roof fans tend to last only 6 to 7 yrs. I was really glad for the enlightenment, and could see no point in adding to my maintenance chores for so little return on investment, so I went with the old style turbine.)

I'd hire Roof Doctors again in a heartbeat and am delighted to recommend them to anyone in need of a roofer.
