Roof Doctors
Company Overview
Since our inception in 1987, no other company in Northern California has inspected, repaired, and certified more roofs than Roof Doctors. To put it plainly, we are the roofing professionals you can trust. We exceed expectations with every project we undertake, providing comprehensive service for repairs, leaks, and certifications. Beginning with a free inspection and detailed report, we identify every problem with your roof, even the smallest crack. After that, our skilled team gets to work, ensuring your roof is repaired correctly. Thanks to our price match guarantee and trustworthy warranties, you won’t need to call anyone else—allow Roof Doctors to take care of everything.
Founded in 1987 by Adam Wilfley and Chris Wilfley, Roof Doctors has been serving the community. Roof Doctors operates in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and the Central Valley, serving counties including Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings.
In Northern California, no other roofing company can compare to our expertise in inspecting, repairing, and certifying roofs or in solving roof leak problems.
We guarantee customer satisfaction every time. Our clients are not billed until their project is finished and they are fully content with our service. We make sure everything is correct before charging for our services.
Founded in 1987, our primary focus is on roof inspections and repairs rather than complete re-roofs. Our free inspections enable clients to save money during the often costly transactions of home buying or leak repairs. We encourage our clients to think of us for repairs if they are needed. We offer a rare two-year certification warranty at Roof Doctors. This approach carries some risk as it depends on the quality of other installations, which can sometimes put us at a disadvantage. Certain issues may not be visible during a roof inspection, leading to potential leaks down the line. When leaks arise under our certification, we conduct a re-inspection to find the cause, assess if it’s related to the roof, and fix it for free if it is. With an A+ rating from the BBB and recognition as an Angie's List Super Service Award winner, we demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service. With more than 30,000 customers served each year, we are the top roof inspection company in Northern California.

Sandra S.What a waste of money and time. 2k and not even 6mos later same shingles blow off in first storm and they want another $500. Shysters.
Not even leave me a note or message they were out to look at it. Didnt see anything on my security video either. But the wont even repair their own overpriced, shoddy work without trying to gouge you again.
Find someone to do some quality work. The only good reviews are from realtors...can you say conflict of interest???
Kelly L.I should've known that when our roof inspection came back fairly clean, that it was too good to be true. Our roof inspection claimed that our roof was still good for another 10 years and that only minor shingle repairs were needed. With the rainy weather, we found a leak in the roof of our garage and roof doctors failed to let us know theres a dip in the garage roof...
Just from pictures, contractors are able to tell there's major issues with our roof and that if left alone, the pressure of all the water build up would cause the roof to collapse.
I'm really unhappy that Roof Doctors did not do a thorough job with our inspection. We were left with the false pretense that our home was in a better condition than it really is. I wish that I had read their Yelp reviews before signing off on them doing our roof inspection.
David S.I had some repairs done on my old roof. It is near the end of its life but I was trying to squeeze a couple more years out of it. A couple months after the repairs a few shingles blew off. I called customer service and Brett personally came out to inspect the damage. He was very cordial and easy to express my concerns to. He ended up repairing the damage for free. He probably could have not done the work because legally speaking, the cert does have a disclaimer for high winds. However, he gave me the benefit of the doubt and decided to make the customer happy even if it meant going above and beyond what he was contractually obligated to do. I appreciated the customer service, hence, the five star review.
Steve J.UNRELIABLE & UNTRUSTWORTHY SCAMMERS
I appreciate Bret's phone call today however it shouldn't have taken a negative yelp review for it to have finally occur.
While Bret sticking-up for his employees is admirable, his theory the sellers getting back on top of the roof to spray flex seal after the inspection by Roof Doctors, is incorrect. What Bret failed to mention in his Yelp response below, during our conversation today I told him the next morning after the leak (Thanksgiving day) I had to borrow a tarp from my neighbor. This is when it was disclosed to me by my neighbors, that the previous owners had a tarp up above the kitchen nook last winter and they had sprayed some sort of flex seal as a quick fix it. This is exact location of the leak, it is a roof leak and the tarp I have placed up since the initial leak only further solidifies that conclusion as I have had no subsequent leaks.
Bret is correct, I did turn down his offer for a free 'water test' a supposed $400 value. But Bret is also refusing to reimburse $900 for the 30min resealing job preformed on June 12th. Bret is correct l failed to pay an extra $250 for a roof certification, but what Bret failed to explain, the Roof Doctors fine print states they are not liable for any pre-existing conditions.. so I'm glad I saved $250 and didn't donate a full $1,150.
Bret explained to me today on the phone he did not appreciate the Yelp scammer commit as he believes to have trustworthy and hardworking employees. On most days, that might very well be correct. However, the day that my roof was inspected must've been a different day and the inspection occurred from the ground.
This inspection wasn't completed in good faith, especially not with the buyers 'ME' best intentions in mind. Maybe this is why Roof Doctors offer free roof inspections, because of someone yells out 'no leaks', the roof inspectors stop looking for any visible signs of potential problems.

Roof Doctors was recommended to me by my selling agent to preform a roof inspection last May before purchasing my house.
The Roof Doctors inspection reported no cosmetic structural flaws and recommend resealing around all flashing and vents. I paid $900 for Roof Doctors to preform this recommend task. The roof technician spent 30 minutes on my roof completing this job which I thought was extremely odd for $900.
During the very 1st rainstorm of the year, November 21st, I had a major roof leak which caused interior damage. Attached are pictures of where the leak occurred and the prior home owners attempt to use black sealant to repair an obvious leak which was never disclosed to me and completely missed by Roof Doctors.
Roof Doctors completely missed an obvious sign of damage during the inspection of my roof. After calling Roof Doctors to speak with management I was told they are all busy and I can file a complaint via email. I then emailed Roof Doctors Office Administrator Lisa Crocker and the only explanation Lisa can give me is the problem I have is a pre-existing condition and they are at no fault. No explanation was given as how and why the attached pictures weren't added and missed during the inspection. I have yet received a call back.
Learn from me, DO NOT TRUST ROOF DOCTORS as they are UNRELIABLE and a UNTRUSTWORTHY business.
Steve
Josh P.Sorry this took so long to update but here pictures of the craftsmanship. As you can tell from the pictures the roof tile doesn't even match the original and two years after the patch it's peeling away and going to start leaking again
BEWARE...I WISH ROOF DOCTORS BEHAVED LIKE THEY SAID THEY DID IN THE REPLY TO THIS REVIEW. The company owners response to my concerns is completely untrue. He refused to return my calls and failed to originally repair 80% of what they claimed to have done. Roof Doctors May be able to come out quickly, but not only will they be expensive, they will likely not complete the repairs that they said they did!! I recently used Roof Doctors because I had just sold my home and it needed a leak repaired. They fixed the leak, but failed to correct the other seven issues that they found and I paid them to repair. Several weeks after they told me all work was complete the buyer of my home had his roof company perform an inspection and they found all the same problems that I had paid roof doctors to repair. When confronted they eventually cam out and performed the repairs but had the buyer of my home not asked for an independent inspection it would never have been found. The office manager claims that they have a quality inspector that would've caught it, but they had been paid complete and closed out the invoice for several weeks before the failure to perform the repairs was noticed by a different contractor. These guys are not reliable and not an honest contractor. BEWARE
Mister R.Everyone at this company is considerate professional and my experience was very u and straightforward. A lot of reviews said that you overpay for the work with these guys and to be completely honest I did not get a second opinion like I maybe should have. But they do offer a warranty on their work and it was quick and painless. And of course like I said everyone I dealt with was awesome. Clifford was the estimator and always made himself available for me when I had questions. And trust me I had a lot. Would definitely refer them to friends and family and would have no problem calling them out again if needed.
I'd like to reiterate the fact that if it wasn't for Clifford I don't think I would have gone with this company and done this job. He was highly personable and reliable. Every time he said he would do something and every time I reached out to him, he was there! Where is his yelp page?
They did a roof inspection for us on our new house. Came back with no issues. We found out after purchasing the home, the current roof and previous roof through a leak caused thousands of dollars in dry rot. An eve of the house was completely disintegrated.... which after calling them back out they saw. After we got the dry rot repaired (on our dime)... we asked them to come back out to inspect and make sure all good. They will not. I was told by there office we had notes on our file to not come back out. Makes no sense. Maybe they feel guilty?! Not an ethical company. We never even got upset with them... but after calling and finding out they wouldn't come out... well says it all. Awful.
Using the services of Roof Doctors has been a good experience as it is quick and efficient. Being able to enter the information at our convenience anytime is great! The report was received quickly and our buyers were happy to have the information quickly. Thank you Roof Doctors for supporting us!
I spent several months looking for a honest and business-like company to do some roof clean up and repairs for our home in Granite Bay. By and large the roofers I contacted were slow, poorly organized, and incompetent (especially the office staff). Roof Doctors is a welcome exception. Marc Vickers did a very complete free inspection, quoted the price for the repairs in detail, and worked with me during the entire process, keeping in touch with me by email and by multiple visits to my home. Josh showed up for the work on time, and completed the work (very good job) on time. As others have said, this is the best place I know for roof repairs.
